Congratulations, what's your line number?

9923---first year testing and my TIS and TIG lowered my line number.

I got 68.68 on the PFE----Higher than 96.27 of eligible
and I got a 76.92 on the SKT---Higher than 96.27 of eligible (funny how it worked out like that eh?)

Out of the 314 selected in my carreer field I am the 15th!

Yeah, I would say your Time In Grade/Time In Service scores put u at the back of the line, but hey, you're maximum wait is only 12 months or less right.

My first time testing (1976) when the test scores were sent in to the orderly room, my friend in admin A1C Kim Rose called out to all the vehicles out on the flight line over the net, hey Dan, you missed it by only two points. I later told him "Thanks, now all those I'm competing against know how close I was and how hard they will need to study next time." I was lucky enough not to have to test for the next cycle which at the time was every 6 months for Staff Sgt, and I made it, like you my line # was way out there, I think I sewed it on in the 11th month of the cycle, but I wasn't complaining, still made it under 4.

Congrats on your promotion to E-05! Its confusing how Army Staff Sergeants are the grade of E-06 and Air Force Staff Sergeants are the grade of E-05! :)

Not confusing, the Navy is confusing, it's all in the name, the grades are consistent. Putting the zero before the number is confusing since that's not the correct designation for the enlisted rank, they are E-1 through E-9, not E-0...anything.

Here's just one site of many for clarification:
