I'd have to second Jon's recommendation. DanW has the new Tera's and they
seem to be the best thought out of any I've seen...most of which can be a
PITA.

on my xj I just got the new JKS quicker disconnects. They are VERY VERY
VERY nice. I just went wheeling on saturday with a friend in a TJ. I got
mine reconnected in 1 min he spent 15min laying on teh ground and everything
and still did not get his disconnects reconnected....and I had to help him
try to reconnect them. They Cost me $125 so they are pretty expensive but
you can connect/disconnect them with just one person VERY fast and they are
adjustable....I love mine and think they were worth the money.

check them out at: http://www.jksmfg.com

As far as a caravan, a number of us from Phoenix are hooking up this Fri. at
I-10 and 51st Av at the Jack in the Box, on the north side of I-10 at 12
noon (CB 4).

A site has been reserved for us at the La Paz Co. park/campground, north of
Parker. we'll be camping Fri and Sat. The plan is for 2 runs Sat, and
possibly 2 runs (similtanious I believe), on Sun. Al (Blue Ox) has arraigned
for some of the Parker wheelers to be trip leaders. From what I hear, they
are a really great group.

As to trail type...class 4 to class 5 - pretty tough stuff...rock crawling.
Visit www.offroad.com , they have some photo's of Desert Splash.

Hey guys,

Just a little info for you all about the camping trip this weekend. I've thought about this and I think a suitable time for departure would be 10 am on Saturday morning at the Northeast corner of I-17 and Carefree Highway. There is a sort of parking lot there where people sell stuff all the time, we can meet there. As far as the trip goes, for those that don't know, we will be taking Table Mesa Road backwards to Seven Springs Campground and camping there for the night. Can everyone please bring a package of firewood? I think you can buy them at most Circle K's for about 3-5 dollars. This way we can have a group campfire. I know Jeeps are small so that's why I'm just suggesting everyone bring a "little". On Sunday morning, you are welcome to depart for home or you can join a few of us in inspecting a couple cool trails out that way. The rating on the Table Mesa part of the trail is about a 2-2.5 but there are some nice little play areas to explore. The thought for the trip is "cold"....the temps where we are camping are not going to be a balmy 70 degrees like theyhave been here lately. Bring plenty of warm clothes as well as a good sleeping bag. Well, that's about it. I really hope to see a good turn out for this, I'm looking forward to meeting and having a chance to talk to everyone. See you Saturday :).

I do. I just responded to an ad for tires and wheels. The more people who
put stuff up the better the results will be. I would suggest that you also
send an email mentioning that you have put item(s) in Classified. I suspect
many people don't even know it is there. I would like to see us use the

Subject: Jeep Service, the good (Biddulph) and the ugly (Moore)

Hello,

Many of you that were on FR42 a couple weeks ago remember that I was trail leader until I managed to break down. At the time we thought it was just a tranny mount.

I took my TJ to Moore Chrysler Jeep where I had serviced my previous YJ for 4 years and was always well taken care of. I brought the OSM TJ in for the tranny mount and later came by to pick it up. They told me Chrysler had denied my claim due to the lift. I went home mad and replaced the tranny mount myself when I discovered a bigger problem. All three bolts sheared off at the engine block on the driver side motor mount bracket. The studs needed to be extracted before it could be fixed. The fan shroud was damaged as well due to the shifting of the motor.

I took it over to Biddulph Jeep in Glendale (where I bought it new 10 months ago) and talked with Kim, a service advisor, and then with Joe, the service manager. He laughed when I told them that Moore Jeep claimed the lift caused the bracket to break. Turns out that he fixed it for me no charge and it never was Chryslers call to deny it but rather Moore's choice. It seems to me that Moore Jeep wants nothing to do with modified Jeeps. I recommend that none of us bring any business their way. I highly recommend Biddulph's service dept. Talk to Kim and Joe and they will take care of you.

BTW, Biddulph sells factory new lifted TJ's with 33's. I personally saw a 4" Teraflex TJ wit 33" BFG AT KO's and a TJ with a Black Diamond lift and 33's for sale on the lot with factory new sticker. Joe oversees the lifted TJ's. If you've modified your Jeep I recommend that you be careful about which dealer does warranty service on your rig.

See you all on the trail again this weekend. It feels great to have the TJ home again :)

I bought my Jeep at Earnhardts which is way on the other side of town for me. Is there any problems taking a Jeep to be serviced at another dealer? Is this allowed?

I have this annoying whistling noise coming into the passenger compartment from where the windshield (would) fold down. It's one of those things I dont want to mess with trying to fix myself.

How does kickin' it on the beach, watching the sunset over the ocean
sound? A little rest and relaxation with your toes in the sand. A little
wheeling in the dunes.
The plan: Leave Tucson around 3:00pm, and head for the border. Get to
the beach in the late evening, around 8-9pm ish. Set up camp, build
fire, drink [insert favorite beverage here]. Get up Saturday morning and
Kick it on the beach. Do a little wheeling on the dunes, and head out to

some night time excursions for those who want to. Sunday morning get up,
play on the beach a little. Clean up camp, and head out sunday late
afternoon, cross the border around 8pm-ish.

This is meant to be a low budget trip. We'll be camping on the beach.
Food, beer, etc is up to you. Figure we could grill up dogs and burgers.

than one week. Maybe something could be worked out... I had my doubts
many people would be interested in a hasty trip to Mexico, but I figured
I'd fire a message to the group. Sorry for the conflict. MIKE

Absolutely NO problem taking your car to another dealership for
service. Another dealership would be more than happy to know that they
are receiving business from other people besides those that they sold
vehicles to.

Hope that helps.

I'll be up for a Mexico trip a little later in the year. BTW I'm hoping to
join in the coves clean up, just working out the scheduling. If anyone does
go down to Rocky Point be on the lookout for a maroon 88 Toyota Camry that
may still have Wyoming plates on it. It was stolen there 3 weeks ago. Call
480-777-2320 if you see anything.

TIA,

Oh crap.. I hadn't realized that there was a conflict... I tend to be a
little impromptu, I was trying to convince my bud to go next weekend! We
figured the best days for us would be march 3rd-5th. The weekend after
the 3rd is the 1st weekend of Spring break, and I'd rather not deal with
the crowds/ crooked police again. (see:

Hey Lamar. Most everyone is looking forward to doing the 4.5 rated trails at
Parker but I don't think you will be alone in wanting to do the 3.5s.
Especialy on Sunday when many folks opt for the tamer trails before having to
make the long drive home that afternoon. I know it would stink for you to
get there and find out everyone else is doing a trail you are not comfortable
with. The gamble is that the Parker guys have said that they would lead some
runs for us but they have not let me pin them down as to which trails when.
We are going to have a great trip no matter which trails get run and I hope
we see you there.
