I couldn't wait until they came out with the 2006 Cobra's so we sealed the deal today.

Not too many pics right now, it is too dark outside. Got to love the sound of the SC winding up in that V8. I haven't gotten up to 6th gear yet, not quite sure when you need it, I guess I will find out.

The TJ will be for sale quick though and with the CJ almost done I shouldn't miss out on too much wheeling. I just have to figure out how to get my wife to drive the Cobra, so I can tow the CJ. She is affraid of the power, which is good for now.

James, Nice Car!!! Enjoy it! Will it be hard to say good bye to the TJ??? I know you have the CJ now but still, you and the TJ have a lot of trails together.

Thanks

I think Jim L. and you, the last time you were over, and especially you the last time we went wheeling, have convinced me that leaf sprung vehicles really can do their job. I have built my CJ from the bottom up and already have plans to rebuild it. There is nothing like having a vehicle that "you" built.
The TJ has been amaziling good. I have only had to ask for a winch once (a strap one other time, because I was too lazy to get out the hi-lift) and it has never broke. It will make someone very happy, as long as they maintain it.
So... not sad or hard to say goodbye but, I will always have sentimental good feelings for TJ's. They definately do what they were intended to do and more.

Funny, I was thinking not too long ago about getting rid of the CJ. Now with so much work into it I can't see how I would do it.

Always a need to do something different.

Guess you forgot the time on lower Ajax night run when your rear diff (D35 at the time) got hung up and we hi-lifted you out....:D

Very nice Mustang James...I have always been a Mustang fan.

What did I forget? I got out without a strap or winch, under my own power. Now I must admit the rear driveline was not linear after I got out :D , but it got me home.
Shoooot that was a night, wasn't it. Scorpions crawling all over the place, trying to lay under the Jeep to see the damage, wow.

Thanks Mike

Joe

When can you come over? When can I come over.... I need to put some miles on it, to get it broke in. I don't dare take it to school, the store or any major parking lots, so I just drive around. It had 100 miles on it when I picked it up and now has 180 miles on it.

I need to get used to the clutch, the traction control and the redline before taking it out to Firebird, that should take me all of the breakin period.

Let me know.

Hi James,

If you find yourself free anytime this weekend... give me a call on my cell (650) 861-1359 or at home. Saturday afternoon or Sunday afternoon would be great!

Joe

Nice meeting your friend today Joe. I hope all the smoke from the tires didn't stick around too long.

I have been doing some searching on the car today.
There was a total of 13,476 Cobras made in 2003 (8394 Coupes & 5082 Convertibles)
There was 2003 10th anniversary Cobras made (1003 Coupes & 1000 Convertibles).
Of the 1000 anniversary edition convertibles there were 369 that were red.
Pretty interesting to have 1 out of 369 in the world, huh? I need to get some documentation going.

Hi James,

Thanks for the ride... that damn car is like an E-ticket ride at Disneyland. Love the blower... no (*&^% turbo lag like the Porsche.

Hurry up and break it in so we can do a "run" up at Firebird.

We are leaving here tomorrow at 10am for a quick trip to Sedona... let me know if you decide you want to go.

Joe

I got an approval back late last night for a project I am doing, so I need to hurry and get the drawings done. You would be interested in this project, a robot. Sorry, I can't make it today. Have a safe trip.
