Al,
I think the only problem with the co2 will be to make sure it is totally
vented after unlocking it so ice chrytsals dont form in the arb...I might
just hook it up direct for now right to the bottle.with a valve and hose

Although Table Mesa is redundant (Mesa means 'table') that is a nice run with a couple of stream crossings and some moderate rock climbs. Nothing too tough but definitely fun. I'd vote for that plus Seven Springs for camping.

Ruff Wildcat Run early February 2000
****Warning****** The Runs Planned are tough!!!!
This run is a Wildcat run we'll just show up and see what
happens.
The plans are for the First weekend in February the 5th &
6th. Most are planing on camping at the same spot we did for
Desert Splash 99, The covered spots by
the river at the La Paz Country Park are great. (12 bucks a
day). The park is about 5-7 miles north of Parker off of
highway 95 across the street from the Emerald Canyon golf
course. I am pretty sure the turn off is Golf Course drive
off of 95. (highway 95 has a business loop north of town)
that can be confusing.
Three clubs will be represented Tucson Rough Riders,
AlliedSignal & of course the Arizona Virtual Jeep. Al has
been working on getting trip leaders. I believe he has it
all worked out to have two runs per day (Sat/Sun). We hope
to have trips leave camp at 9:00am.
See Ya In February

You'll need a pressure regulator for sure, or you could blow the seals. I can't recall what the recommended pressure is...something like 90lbs, but you could call the ARB US Distributor (206-264-1669 - in Seattle), and I'm sure they'd help.

run....the new arb hasnt shown up yet to put into the rear dana 44 I jsut
bought at cannons auto wrecking....I will be there..I just dont know if I
will be locked...
Im planning to run the rear Arb off of my paintball equiptment...co2 and a
12 volt electric selaniod from radio shack. A 20 oz tank of co2 is enough to
fill 10 33 in tires (or so Im told)....Put a quick disconnect on the air
line mount he selenoid by the rear....run a few wires and it should work
well.....anyone know what air pressure to run with the arb....I might want
to run a pressure regulator in line too!

ideas for a good trail? I'm thinking Crown King but know a lot of you
all have done that recently. Let me know your suggestions.

What

What type of trail rating is it over there. I'd like to do something that
has a little to offer everyone (me - I've kinda chickened out of things
lately so I'm looking for trails under 3.5).
Did someone mention snow . . . burr. . . big fire . . . at least we won't

Senator Highway may be a bit cool, though I kinda like cold weather camping.
Red Creek is another idea. Camp along the Verde. Plenty of water there.
Beautiful vistas. There's also a trail near Flat Tire Canyon that has some
nice camping. Actually, there are many places close by that would be good.
Depending on the date picked, I'm up for it.

Sounds like a plan to me. Table Mesa is a nice run, It was one of my first runs in my Jeep and I got a nice pick of me trying to climb a pretty big rock out there. http://www.fortunecity.com/marina/pitcairn/258/aarontj.html
In the morning on Sunday, there are so many trails to check out in that area. Nothing in the neighborhood of a 3.5 but maybe a 2.5-3. We can discuss time and place to meet later but let's tentatively schedule the run for Saturday the 5th and camp out that night. I know a lot of people will be doing the Parker run that weekend but I thought it might be nice for some, to have something a little closer. Then if anyone wants to bail on Sunday morning, they don't have half a days travel ahead of them.

Thanks for the input, I did get a Modine and it ran 204.75 from Dan's Peoria
Raidiator. I also Had to get a new theromostat housing due to my
overtightning of the bottom bolt. Stupid thing just broke... I still have a
leak but only when the motor is cold??????????????????????
I think this may be an indication of the water pump failing.. or a crack in
the ol block.. I am really beginning to understand the term
Just Empty Every Pocket..... Last week U joint this week raidiator
thermostat housing, hoses, thermostat, and possibly new water pump on Sat..
Oh well

Sorry to butt in here david, but a word of caution. Make sure that the
radiator you get is a Modine. An awful lot of the aftermarket radiators are
pure crap!! I am an Autobody tech with a bunch of years experience and the
only aftermarket radiator I have never had a problem with is Modine. They
are the OEM manufacturer for a lot of American made cars (I believe the XJ
is one of them), and even if they are not OEM, they still make a good
product. It may cost a little more, but it will definitely be worth the
extra.

I've always wondered about the old tramway route up the north side of
Mt. Graham. Prior to the tramway there was a road all the way up.
Should be legal per RS2477 to blaze it back open. There isn't any
wilderness I can see in the way.

I am going to go to the Coves on Saturday to have some fun on the hills. It
is much too nice not to be in a Jeep somewhere.
Here's the deal:
Meet sometime before 9AM for a 9AM sharp departure.
Take Bush Highway (from SR87 or from Mesa) to Butcher Jones Park - part of
Saguaro Lake. Go around the parking area of Butcher Jones to the other side
and you will see a Green cattle Gate. That is where we will meet and air
down. CB channel 4 and/or FRS channel 4.
We will play on the hills there and then go out to FR13 and on to 4 Peaks
Road. Maybe take a look at Cottonwood Trail head and Camp. Should be a nice
day. This is mostly a 2 with some great hills for those who want to play.
Almost always an alternate to those who want to sight see.

You'll need a pressure regulator for sure, or you could blow the seals. I can't recall what the recommended pressure is...something like 90lbs, but you could call the ARB US Distributor (206-264-1669 - in Seattle), and I'm sure they'd help.

well.....anyone know what air pressure to run with the arb....I might want
to run a pressure regulator in line too!

I think you've not only picked a good weekend, but a good location as well!
What type of trail rating is it over there. I'd like to do something that
has a little to offer everyone (me - I've kinda chickened out of things
lately so I'm looking for trails under 3.5).
Did someone mention snow . . . burr. . . big fire . . . at least we won't
have to worry about ice for the beer!

They
are the OEM manufacturer for a lot of American made cars (I believe the XJ
is one of them), and even if they are not OEM, they still make a good
product. It may cost a little more, but it will definitely be worth the
extra.

I was able to purchase a lifetime warranty for the radiator I bought from
Hawks Radiator (Mesa) for my ZJ. I paid $230 for it. Since then it has
cracked but is barely seeping so I am carrying a spare radiator and 5
gallons
