How are the jeeps equiped that are going on this trail? I'm trying to decide
if I can go on this or if I'll wind up walking home! I have a 93 zj with a
NP321, 3.5" teraflex lift, 31" BFG muds, open differentials, tow hooks,
transfercase and gas tank skid plates but no rocker protection. What do you
guys think?

Jeep.
Leah! It looks like you got your wish -- a red Jeep! And a nice one too! Looks like you don't have to make the trip from
Tucson, unless you want to! There's a Military Vehicle show going on this weekend too!

Subject: WildCat Run to Parker
Here is the poop. I talked to Rodney, of the Parker 4 Wheelers, today to
confirm the runs and run leaders for the Parker run on 5 & 6 may. He has at
least 3 run leaders lined up from his club. I told him that we wanted to
have two runs each day, a mild to moderate trail and a Big Dog tuff trail.
He said that would be pretty easy to do and that we could pretty much play it
by ear when we get there as far as trail selection.
I called the La Paz County Park and via a recording was told that camp
sites are $10.00 or $15.00/night depending on what you want. I know that
there are some primo rv sites that run more but doubt if any are available
this time of year (snow birds fill them up). No reservations accepted.
I hope every one has a great time. I can't go. The V-8 in the Blue Ox gave
it's all and its last breath a week ago. I have been looking forward to this
trip for several months now and am very sorry to miss it but my finance
director (Wife) says no new engine this month. Please take lots of pictures
and take a trip to the Desert Bar for me. Be safe and have fun.

Hi All
I just found an Arizona Road & Recreation Atlas at Wal-mart, for about
$17, it doesn't have all the trail that your looking for(but then I have no
idea where they all are) I think it was a few, I skimmed thru it kinda fast
and saw the Charouleau Gap trail and King Crown mine area, It has Landscape
Maps, Public Lands Maps & Metro Area's Maps (the Phoenix & Tucson area), It
also has Camping & Recreation and GPS Grids.
Just thought this might be helpful
Sorry to say it doesn't show the "Agua Fria National Monument" (not!)

I wanted to invite everyone on a trail run that I and some friends are planning. I have never run this trail, but the directions look pretty simple (much easier than Rocker Panel Pass for those that went with me on that one and had to lead me by the nose). I will send out another reminder as we get closer to the time. We will be meeting at the McDonalds located on the east side of I-17 at Deer Valley Road. We will meet at 7am and head out at 7:30am.
Check out the following web site for some pictures and videos that someone else took during their run. Look for "Raw Deal" on the left hand side of the page.

I dont know if this also works for ZJ's, but on the TJ's if you turn the
ignition switch on/off/on/off/on (pretty fast, i think it has to be within 5
seconds) the check engine light will flash an error code of what the
problem is.. according to the computer anyhow. I have the cross reference

To get the error code, cycle the ignition key on/off/on/off/on within 5 seconds and the check engine light and the odometer will flash a number of times corresponding with the following table.
TJ Error Code Table
11 No crank reference signal detected during engine cranking. Intermittent loss of either camshaft or crankshaft position sensor. CKP sensor target windows have too much variation.
12 Direct battery input to PCM was disconnected within the last 50 Key-on cycles.
13 No difference recognized between the engine MAP reading and the barometric (atmosphere) pressure reading from start-up.
14 MAP sensor input above or below acceptable voltage. 5 volt output to MAP sensor open.
15 No vehicle speed sensor signal detected during road load conditions.
17 Engine did not reach operating temperature within acceptable limits. Engine does not reach 20º F. within 5 minutes with a vehicle speed signal.
21 Upstream oxygen sensor response slower than minimum required switching frequency. Upstream oxygen sensor heating element circuit malfunction. Downstream oxygen sensor heating element circuit malfunction. Downstream oxygen sensor input voltage maintained above the normal operating range. Oxygen sensor voltage too low, tested after cold start. (Upstream or Downstream) Left oxygen sensor input voltage maintained above the normal operating temperature.
22 Engine coolant temperature sensor above or below acceptable voltage.
23 Intake air temperature sensor input above or below acceptable voltage.
24 Throttle position sensor input above or below acceptable voltage. TPS signal does not correlate to MAP sensor.
25 A shorted or open condition detected in one or more of the idle air control motor circuits. Actual idle speed does not equal target idle speed.
27 Injector #3, and/or 4, and/or 5, and/or 6 output driver does not respond properly to the control signal.
31 An open or shorted condition detected in the A/C clutch relay circuit. Insufficient or excessive vapor flow detected during evaporative emission system operation.
33 An open or shorted condition detected in the duty cycle purge solenoid circuit.
34 An open or shorted condition detected in the Speed Control vacuum or vent solenoid circuits. Speed control switch input below the minimum acceptable voltage.
37 Relationship between engine speed and vehicle speed indicates no torque converter clutch engagement. An open or shorted condition detected in the torque converter part throttle unlock solenoid control circuit. Incorrect input state detected for the Park/Neutral switch. Auto only.

The procedure is....
Start the engine and rev it to 2500 rpm. Let of the gas to idle and turn your key one notch backwards to shut off the engine. From there turn on then off the ignition three times, give it a second and the codes will come up. When it flashes 55, that means it is done displaying.

I doubt I will ( i know I wont) be there for the trail 42 run. I decided to start installing 'Off Your Rocker' rocker panel guards on my TJ tonight and it is proving to be far more time consuming than the same install on my CJ7. I've run out of daylight and also running out of motivation to continue the job right now :)

Alright! That's great! Thanks, Marc.
Right now it's still up in the air if we
can make it up there.
I have mixed feelings about REI right now.
I know our appearance at the expo is a positive move.
Good Luck,
Leah

Auto only.
41 An open or shorted condition in the generator field control circuit.
42 An open or shorted condition detected in the auto shutdown relay circuit. An open condition detected in the ASD relay output circuit. An open or shorted condition detected in the fuel pump relay control circuit. An open circuit between PCM and fuel gauge sending unit. Circuit shorted to voltage between PCM and fuel gauge sending unit. No movement of fuel level sender detected.
43 Peak primary circuit current not achieved with maximum dwell time. Misfire detected in one or more cylinders 1 thru 6. (4 and 6 cyls.)
44 Battery temperature sensor in voltage above or below acceptable range.
46 Battery voltage sense input above target charging voltage during engine operation.
47 Battery voltage sense input below target charging during engine operation. Also, no significant change detected in battery voltage during active test of generator output circuit.
51 A lean air/fuel mixture has been indicated by an abnormally rich correction factor.
52 A rich air/fuel mixture has been indicated by an abnormally rich correction factor.
53 PCM Internal fault condition detected.
54 No camshaft signal detected during engine cranking.
55 Completion of fault code display on Check Engine lamp.
63 Unsuccessful attempt to write to an EEPROM location by the PCM.
64 Catalyst efficiency below required level. (Same as code 72)
65 Power steering high pressure seen at high speed. (2.5L only)
72 Catalyst efficiency below required level. (Same as code 64)
77 Malfunction detected with poser feed to speed control servo solenoids.

The procedure is....
Start the engine and rev it to 2500 rpm. Let of the gas to idle and turn your key one notch backwards to shut off the engine. From there turn on then off the ignition three times, give it a second and the codes will come up. When it flashes 55, that means it is done displaying.

Last I heard it was 9AM - I guess that means depart the shopping center at 9AM. Yes, Scottsdale and Carefree Hgwy (SR74). It is an Abco food store, I think. Looks like there is going to be a great turn out.
