If it is straight up....it is NOT doable. Even for a buggy with stickies and go-go juice.

04-21-2009, 07:23 PM
yeh that one will take a winch fer sure.

Looks pretty ominous for a waterfall. Wouldn't you be hanging with all your weight on the winch with the cable straining on the breakover? That would make cresting the top pretty dang hard?

Cliff looks like she is have a good time though. ;)

buggy + water + go-go juice + barry = done deal :D

Nope.

x2 No way not driveable. Heck it would be beaach on a cable. If you did make it up, then what? does the wash hit a main road any where with out going cross country.?

lancetkenyon

Mike is what....6'2"? That fall is huge and vertical, with a nasty breakover.

DFRacing
04-21-2009, 08:54 PM
I will drive down any fall that is drivable up & no way would I drive down that. It twice as tall as AA fall and not many can drive that fall.

lancetkenyon
04-21-2009, 08:56 PM
I wouldn't say twice as tall, but a good 3' taller for sure, more vert too, plus sand bottom, not rock(you are gonna sink farther into it, and make it even taller). Narrow entrance, no room for recovery if/when you backflop it.

Todd - I'm sure it can be decended easily.......ONCE :D

With enough speed to clear it.......

I know that fall... I have seen it a few times... it could be doable with a winch pulling you the whole way up. But then whats the point??? If I remember right, after the fall there is nothing, just pop up the wash, turn around and drop right back in. Not worth it.

so you would drive down Asylum waterfall, would be interesting!!!

If the one in question is straight up not sure you could get going fast enough to make it!

see that fall before. if i remember correctly it goes down the wash a ways and then gets to a under cut waterfall that taller than my truck is long. not worth it.

must not be the same one that's the only big fall we did the whole thing starting from the southside working our way to that fall. trail was probably 1/2mi (maybe a little longer) before getting to that fall.

i think someone with the wb of 112-115 could make it.taking the same approach that pierre took on AA. you have to see it in person.

if its the fall we found its maybe 50 to 100 yards out of the main wash.

Lost, I know of the fall you are speaking up. That is further north. Just saw that a few weekends ago... about 15'+ tall and invertered the whole dam way up!
