I have seen a 81' f-150 4x4 longbed with less clearence as a ranger,
with 235s make it with no problems. But now that it is the time for
some snow up there, or if the ground it wet/icy, then I can't see a
stock fullsize longbed making it.

TWAS THE NIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS,
HE LIVED ALL ALONE
IN A ONE BEDROOM HOUSE
MADE OF PLASTER AND STONE.
I HAD COME DOWN THE CHIMNEY
WITH PRESENTS TO GIVE,
AND TO SEE JUST WHO
IN THIS HOME DID LIVE.
I LOOKED ALL ABOUT;
A STRANGE SIGHT I DID SEE:
NO TINSEL, NO PRESENTS,
NOT EVEN A TREE.
NO STOCKING BY MANTLE,
JUST BOOTS FILLED WITH SAND.
ON THE WALL HUNG PICTURES
OF FAR DISTANT LANDS...
WITH MEDALS AND BADGES,
AWARDS OF ALL KINDS...
A SOBER THOUGHT
CAME THROUGH MY MIND.
FOR THIS HOUSE WAS DIFFERENT.
IT WAS DARK AND DREARY.
I FOUND A HOME OF A SOLDIER,
ONCE I COULD SEE CLEARLY.
THE SOLDIER LAY SLEEPING--
SILENT, ALONE--
CURLED UP ON THE FLOOR
IN THIS ONE BEDROOM HOME.
THE FACE WAS SO GENTLE,
THE ROOM IN DISORDER;
NOT HOW I PICTURED
A UNITED STATES SOLDIER.
WAS THIS THE HERO
OF WHO I'D JUST READ?
CURLED UP ON A PONCHO;
THE FLOOR FOR A BED?
I REALIZED THE FAMILIES
THAT I SAW THIS NIGHT
OWED THEIR LIVES TO THIS SOLDIER
WHO WAS WILLING TO FIGHT.
SOON 'ROUND THE WORLD
THE CHILDREN WOULD PLAY,
AND GROWNUPS WOULD CELEBRATE
A BRIGHT CHRISTMAS DAY.
THEY ALL ENJOY FREEDOM
EACH MONTH OF THE YEAR
BECAUSE OF THE SOLDIERS
LIKE THE ONE LYING HERE.
I COULDN'T HELP WONDER
HOW MANY LAY ALONE
ON A COLD CHRISTMAS EVE,
IN A LAND FAR FROM HOME.
THE VERY THOUGHT
BROUGHT A TEAR TO MY EYE.
I DROPPED TO MY KNEES
AND STARTED TO CRY.
THE SOLDIER AWAKENED
AND I HEARD A ROUGH VOICE,
"SANTA, DON'T CRY.
THIS LIFE IS MY CHOICE."
"I FIGHT FOR FREEDOM.
I DON'T ASK FOR MORE.
MY LIFE IS MY GOD,
MY COUNTRY, MY CORPS."
THE SOLDIER ROLLED OVER
AND DRIFTED TO SLEEP.
I COULDN'T CONTROL IT;
I CONTINUED TO WEEP.
I KEPT WATCH FOR HOURS,
SO SILENT AND STILL;
AND WE BOTH SHIVERED
FROM THE COLD NIGHT'S CHILL.
I DIDN'T WANT TO LEAVE
ON THAT COLD, DARK NIGHT--
THIS GUARDIAN OF HONOR,
SO WILLING TO FIGHT.
THEN THE SOLDIER ROLLED OVER
AND WITH A VOICE, SOFT AND PURE,
WHISPERED, "CARRY ON, SANTA.
IT'S CHRISTMAS DAY, ALL'S SECURE."
ONE LOOK AT MY WATCH
AND I KNEW HE WAS RIGHT.
"MERRY CHRISTMAS, MY FRIEND,
AND TO ALL, A GOOD NIGHT."

Thanks to those that showed up. I did not get all the names but I did get
David Cole, and Mike Buckner I may have missed one or two. The Mesa 4
Wheelers had a great turn out with about 5 members. The AZ Rockrats had 7
members show up.
It would have been nice to have more but? Maps for the Middle Gila area
will be available around next Friday. I will let anyone interested know how
to get the maps. We need to check trails in this area to make sure we have
them all covered. I would suggest looking for future trails at the same
time. These are the inventory maps and show all ( the ones they could do)
the trails.
The RockRats are not available to run this area as we are concentrating on
the Phx. North BLM areas. We will let the group know of any reclaimed trails
we find. If we all take areas we can map reclaimed trails for the future of
our sport. Besides that it is a lot of fun running washes looking for washes
with big rocks.

Let me know as soon as you hit the states or even email me when you

can even get a bunch of Jeeps together and meet you at the airport
LOL Wouldnt that be great. Later, be safe and let everyone know in

Subject: OT: Typical Lawyer....
This is the best lawyer story of the year, decade and Probably the century.
A Charlotte, N.C. lawyer purchased a box of very rare and expensive cigars, then insured them against fire among other things.
Within a month of having smoked his entire stockpile of these great cigars, and without yet having made even his first premium payment on the policy, the lawyer filed a claim against the insurance company.
In his claim, the lawyer stated the cigars were "lost in a serious of small fires." The insurance company refused to pay, citing the obvious reason: that the man had consumed the cigars in the normal fashion.
The lawyer sued...and won!
In delivering the ruling the judge agreed with the insurance company that the claim was frivolous. The judge stated nevertheless, that the lawyer held a policy from the company in which it had warranted that the cigars were insurable and also guaranteed that it would insure them against fires, without defining what is considered to be unacceptable fire, and was obligated to pay the claim.
Rather than endure lengthy and costly appeal process, the insurance company accepted the ruling and paid $15,000 to the lawyer for his loss of the rare cigars lost in the "fires."
NOW FOR THE BEST PART...After the lawyer cashed the check, the insurance company had him arrested on 24 counts of ARSON!!!!
With his own insurance claim and testimony from the previous case being used against him, the lawyer was convicted of intentionally burning his insured property and was sentenced to 24 months in jail and a $24,000.00
fine.
This is a true story and was the 1st place winner in the recent "Criminal Lawyers Award Contest."

This story was used as a "hypothetical case" when I was in law school in
the early 70's................... it's used "to make a point" and
sometimes I wonder if something like this could happen...............
look at the suit against McDonalds from years ago when they were sued
for making their coffee to hot and it burned some dumb gal when she
spilled it on herself!!! That case changed the menu in many
restaurants............. especially fast food places. Everyone served
hot chocolate........... don't any more and the restaurants now have to
"take the coffees temperature" throughout the day!
That's OUR world of American freedoms!

This is the best lawyer story of the year, decade and Probably the
century.
A Charlotte, N.C. lawyer purchased a box of very rare and expensive
cigars, then insured them against fire among other things.
Within a month of having smoked his entire stockpile of these great
cigars, and without yet having made even his first premium payment on
the policy, the lawyer filed a claim against the insurance company.
In his claim, the lawyer stated the cigars were "lost in a serious of
small fires." The insurance company refused to pay, citing the obvious
reason: that the man had consumed the cigars in the normal fashion.
The lawyer sued...and won!
In delivering the ruling the judge agreed with the insurance company
that the claim was frivolous. The judge stated nevertheless, that the
lawyer held a policy from the company in which it had warranted that the
cigars were insurable and also guaranteed that it would insure them
against fires, without defining what is considered to be unacceptable
fire, and was obligated to pay the claim.
Rather than endure lengthy and costly appeal process, the insurance
company accepted the ruling and paid $15,000 to the lawyer for his loss
of the rare cigars lost in the "fires."
NOW FOR THE BEST PART...After the lawyer cashed the check, the insurance
company had him arrested on 24 counts of ARSON!!!!
With his own insurance claim and testimony from the previous case being
used against him, the lawyer was convicted of intentionally burning his
insured property and was sentenced to 24 months in jail and a $24,000.00
fine.
This is a true story and was the 1st place winner in the recent
"Criminal Lawyers Award Contest."

TWAS THE NIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS,
HE LIVED ALL ALONE
IN A ONE BEDROOM HOUSE
MADE OF PLASTER AND STONE.
I HAD COME DOWN THE CHIMNEY
WITH PRESENTS TO GIVE,
AND TO SEE JUST WHO
IN THIS HOME DID LIVE.
I LOOKED ALL ABOUT;
A STRANGE SIGHT I DID SEE:
NO TINSEL, NO PRESENTS,
NOT EVEN A TREE.
NO STOCKING BY MANTLE,
JUST BOOTS FILLED WITH SAND.
ON THE WALL HUNG PICTURES
OF FAR DISTANT LANDS...
WITH MEDALS AND BADGES,
AWARDS OF ALL KINDS...
A SOBER THOUGHT
CAME THROUGH MY MIND.
FOR THIS HOUSE WAS DIFFERENT.
IT WAS DARK AND DREARY.
I FOUND A HOME OF A SOLDIER,
ONCE I COULD SEE CLEARLY.
THE SOLDIER LAY SLEEPING--
SILENT, ALONE--
CURLED UP ON THE FLOOR
IN THIS ONE BEDROOM HOME.
THE FACE WAS SO GENTLE,
THE ROOM IN DISORDER;
NOT HOW I PICTURED
A UNITED STATES SOLDIER.
WAS THIS THE HERO
OF WHO I'D JUST READ?
CURLED UP ON A PONCHO;
THE FLOOR FOR A BED?
I REALIZED THE FAMILIES
THAT I SAW THIS NIGHT
OWED THEIR LIVES TO THIS SOLDIER
WHO WAS WILLING TO FIGHT.
SOON 'ROUND THE WORLD
THE CHILDREN WOULD PLAY,
AND GROWNUPS WOULD CELEBRATE
A BRIGHT CHRISTMAS DAY.
THEY ALL ENJOY FREEDOM
EACH MONTH OF THE YEAR
BECAUSE OF THE SOLDIERS
LIKE THE ONE LYING HERE.
I COULDN'T HELP WONDER
HOW MANY LAY ALONE
ON A COLD CHRISTMAS EVE,
IN A LAND FAR FROM HOME.
THE VERY THOUGHT
BROUGHT A TEAR TO MY EYE.
I DROPPED TO MY KNEES
AND STARTED TO CRY.
THE SOLDIER AWAKENED
AND I HEARD A ROUGH VOICE,
"SANTA, DON'T CRY.
THIS LIFE IS MY CHOICE."
"I FIGHT FOR FREEDOM.
I DON'T ASK FOR MORE.
MY LIFE IS MY GOD,
MY COUNTRY, MY CORPS."
THE SOLDIER ROLLED OVER
AND DRIFTED TO SLEEP.
I COULDN'T CONTROL IT;
I CONTINUED TO WEEP.
I KEPT WATCH FOR HOURS,
SO SILENT AND STILL;
AND WE BOTH SHIVERED
FROM THE COLD NIGHT'S CHILL.
I DIDN'T WANT TO LEAVE
ON THAT COLD, DARK NIGHT--
THIS GUARDIAN OF HONOR,
SO WILLING TO FIGHT.
THEN THE SOLDIER ROLLED OVER
AND WITH A VOICE, SOFT AND PURE,
WHISPERED, "CARRY ON, SANTA.
IT'S CHRISTMAS DAY, ALL'S SECURE."
ONE LOOK AT MY WATCH
AND I KNEW HE WAS RIGHT.
"MERRY CHRISTMAS, MY FRIEND,
AND TO ALL, A GOOD NIGHT."

Thanks to those that showed up. I did not get all the names but I did get
David Cole, and Mike Buckner I may have missed one or two. The Mesa 4
Wheelers had a great turn out with about 5 members. The AZ Rockrats had 7
members show up.
It would have been nice to have more but? Maps for the Middle Gila area
will be available around next Friday. I will let anyone interested know how
to get the maps. We need to check trails in this area to make sure we have
them all covered. I would suggest looking for future trails at the same
time. These are the inventory maps and show all ( the ones they could do)
the trails.
The RockRats are not available to run this area as we are concentrating on
the Phx. North BLM areas. We will let the group know of any reclaimed trails
we find. If we all take areas we can map reclaimed trails for the future of
our sport. Besides that it is a lot of fun running washes looking for washes
with big rocks.

I believe it's the wheel bearing. If anyone could maybe give me some more clues, it'd be a great help before I tear into it. More of a metal to metal "rolling" sound than a grinding. I've never changed a wheel bearing either. Any info/help desperately needed!! Would like to be up and going in time for teh Dec. 20th trail run!!
Thanks to everyone with info!!

Measurements:
Front length:45.0" (eye to eye); width : 2.5"
Rear 55.12 2.5
other note: Ranch 43244s (3" front) was replaced in 1987 with part
#44044 (2.5" lift); having used both I feel the earlier spring is
better

Subject: RE: OT: Typical Lawyer....

Subject: [az_vjc] OT: Typical Lawyer....
