It could be one of two things. The air line inside the diff house or the seals. It is not hard to fix and yes you will need to remove the carrier. 4 Wheel supply carries all the repair parts you would need to fix it whether it is the line or the seals.

I have a 97 TJ. When the front ARB airlocker is engaged air leaks
from the breather tube. I assume the ARB seal is leaking. Sound like
the cause? Same thing happen right after it was first installed by
FWS and I had them fixing under warranty.

Can I replace this myself? I assume it involves removing the carrier.

If I have it done who can do it for me and what might it cost?

But mechanical lockers also like braking front axels when you are in the rocks and trying to turn hard at low speeds. Of course that is assuming you can even turn hard with a mechanical locker up front.

Hello All,Josh Reynolds is leading a Terminator (Lower) trail run on Friday, December 5, 2003.

When: 8:00 am
Where: table mesa air down spot
Rating: 4.5-
Length: 4-5 hours
CB Channel: 4

I want to run raw deal and then move over to terminator

Lower Terminator was the first of the Terminator Trails.

You will find the infamous "White Line" and "Terminator" obstacles on this trail. While both spots certainly have the potential to "Terminate" your vehicle, they will definitely grab your attention.

You will go over, around, straddle and tip on the rocks on this trail; you will find yourself off-camber and wonder why you're doing this, but will love it. It is an awesome trail with numerous play areas and very few bypasses.
Clearance and Lockers are a must, 33" tires a minimum and experienced drivers a must.
Ummm, lemme see now, the first rule of holes is.... When you're in one,
STOP DIGGING! Guess I oughtta pay more attention to how deep I've dug mine
today. :-)

I also got the same message off-line from another VJC member. Dunno right
now what my title says - it's in my SD box at the bank. I'm not planning
on cutting my fenders, anyway - at least, not that radically.

OTOH, it *could* be argued that I should pay attention to the thread's
title, since it *does* say "_TJ_ rear fender cutting".... :-)

Anyway, I've learned some stuff about titles and the AZ laws regarding
mudflaps and such. To all who took the time to educate me, I say, Thank
you!

Howdy Everyone

Ok the BBQ is less then a week away.

Got a couple things I want to remind everyone and a few new things
too....

Reminder..
* There will a Best Christmas Decorated Jeep Contest.. There will be

prizes for this.
* Also, I am pretty sure Santa will be coming too!
* I am STILL looking for some more BBQ grills and cookers!
* There will collection for Toys 4 Tots here too for those that cant
make
the BBQ
* Also, I want to point out that it is pretty important that everyone

tries to chip in a little as far as food goes.. Hot dogs, Burgers,
chips,
coolers, soda, bean dip, etc... That way, there is plenty to go around.
To date, I
have had only 4 people tell me (or post to the club, which is better so
everyone knows what is coming) In the past I usually have a good list by
now Last
year we ran out of food, I woudl like to try and avoid this agian this
year.

New things.....

I am looking to do a Can Food Drive... (Anyone want to take the ball
with
this and run with it?) Everyone that comes, bring a couple of cans. We
can
gather up and make a dontaion in the club's name. Think that would be
good way
to get some good press.

Also, I am looking for anyone that wants to make a donation to the
Raffle..
If you have business that you think folks can benifit from, please let
me
know.

Talk to everyone soon..

Best Regards
John k

FWIW, I'm the proud owner of a 1987 Jeep Wrangler 2dr Station Wagon
according to my title. So yes, it at least applies to YJ's as well.

Howdy Everyone

Ok the BBQ is less then a week away.

Got a couple things I want to remind everyone and a few new things too....

Reminder..
* There will a Best Christmas Decorated Jeep Contest.. There will be
prizes for this.
* Also, I am pretty sure Santa will be coming too!
* I am STILL looking for some more BBQ grills and cookers!
* There will collection for Toys 4 Tots here too for those that cant make
the BBQ
* Also, I want to point out that it is pretty important that everyone
tries to chip in a little as far as food goes.. Hot dogs, Burgers, chips,
coolers, soda, bean dip, etc... That way, there is plenty to go around. To
date, I
have had only 4 people tell me (or post to the club, which is better so
everyone knows what is coming) In the past I usually have a good list by now
Last
year we ran out of food, I woudl like to try and avoid this agian this year.

New things.....

I am looking to do a Can Food Drive... (Anyone want to take the ball with
this and run with it?) Everyone that comes, bring a couple of cans. We can
gather up and make a dontaion in the club's name. Think that would be good
way
to get some good press.

Also, I am looking for anyone that wants to make a donation to the Raffle..
If you have business that you think folks can benifit from, please let me
know.

Talk to everyone soon..

I'll bring a large bowl of potato salad and macaroni

ANOTHER ISSUE TO CONSIDER: I will supply a "donation pot" for
ORBA..................... This organization will truly be our salvation
regarding "SAVING OUR TRAILS AND ACCESS" but we must get our businesses
involved. They cannot continue joining in the Arizona fights if the
dealers and businesses won't support them. Hunter Off Road was the
first 4x4 business from Arizona to join ORBA last year but I know it's
sometimes hard for small businesses to scrape up the yearly dues......
so................... how about VJC helping Hunter with his ORBA dues?
A couple of dollars from everyone will quickly total his $1,000.00
membership.

Several of the ASA4WDC clubs are paying the ORBA dues for a local small
business membership. As individuals or clubs we cannot join ORBA but
there's nothing stating we cannot help support the small businesses near
and dear to us!

Subject: [Tech] 2001 TJ - A little Advice for a new guy

I was reading a lot of the posts here and found all of them extremely helpful. I am new to the Jeep world and am shopping around for a lift kit but with so many names out there I am looking for some sound advice. A little background, I use my Jeep for regular driving but am also looking forward to hitting some "major" trails, I like rocks and I like Mud. I was eyeing a 4" Old Man Emu set, as I hear the four leaf spring design is were it's at and wanted to know if anyone is familiar with the Emu? I am also checking out the Rubicon 3.5 Super-Flex kit I did read a some posts here and read some good things about the Rubicon Kits. I am thinking about both of those with the Rancho 9000's. So I am kind stuck wondering if I should stick with one of those kits or if there is something better or more catered to my needs. If anyone can lend some advice It would be most appreciated I'm a little stuck. Any other advice about extra accessories I may need would be a lot of help. I would love to be able to get it right the first time. I know I have to get the Slip Yoke Eliminator, and I should get the SwayBar disconnects but anything else I'm missing here would be great advice. Like I said I am knew to this and don’t want to screw it up.

Thanks

Victor,
Check with Jason LaLiberty at WWW.4X4groupbuy.com - 602-595-5739. He
sells all the kits (and uses them too) and he can tell you what you
will need and probably get the best price on it for you. He is a
AZVJC member too. He IS Good People!
Good Luck,
Bob
74 CJ-5 (with leaf springs)

(PS, I really don't think that you want to trade in your coil springs
for leaf springs, do you? hehehe)
