I was just about to post a Re: thread! I was going to suggest if a group goes out that they just take supplies out tonite. Making the extraction tomorrow would be easyer!

Thanks for the move. I was just working on it and saw that you did it. I think they may be panicking but now are getting more levelheaded. I will post and let people know what is up. Thanks for the concerns.

I am at work and just received a call from a friend. He and a buddy are stuck in mud in Prescott. They are off exit 69. What is stuck is an Xterra and a Dodge Ram 2500 diesel.

My friend's name is Chase and his number is 602-284-2781. He has cell service and a GPS to give coordinates.

My number is 623-910-3517. Please text if there is any thing I can do to help. Unfortunately I am at work and can't leave.

Late night web browsing I thought something like this would come up. It's probably snowing pretty bad up there and will the whole night. I got a diesel truck with a big winch can make it up tomorrow around noon maybe. Don't want to get it stuck though. I'll wait for more details.

If they end up needing help still and your going to go PBKing and want some extra assistance let me know. My stock ZJ would be of no real help, but could ride along and just provide manpower. That 2500 could be a challenge.

I dropped what I was doing and rushed home to see what's needed. The alert I get on my phone only shows the header info and cuts off before the message. Glad to hear it's not serious and they are prepared for an unexpected situation. The winter clothing is good and they also have running vehicles with heaters to stay warm. That being the case, plus being that far from me and I work at 9am, I have to decline going out to help at this time. If they have working communications, I'm sure they can find assistance nearby. If any of them have AAA, now would be a good time to call.

They got both vehicles out and are doing well. Thank you for all the help and suggestions. I do apologize if I woke anyone up tonite. PBking thank you for the offer to leave and go and help. My buddy Chase sends his thanks and said he will buy a beer for anyone in AZVJC if he meets up with ya.

Did they get out by themselves or did they get help?

They got out by themselves. It took them 3 hours but they did it. Used some good old fashioned ingenuity and wood.

I see that is good. At what point did they call for a rescue?

Thats the same way I am, first thing I asked the ex to do was get the camera when I managed to take half my thumb print off moding some light brackets or my old TJ. Hell after we totaled my friends truck, the first thing I did after making sure she was ok was reach for a camera. Unfortunately, crushed it in the roll.

I think the same way. I sent my buddy a private message on the xterra board so we shall see if I get any. BTW...lets see that hacked off pinky. :D

Good job RubiJk. You got on and asked the important questions. Thanks defibvt (dead=draw epi and dose)(paramedic humor) for getting the ball rolling and coordinating with the stuck guys.
I'm glad to see everything worked out.

And I blew Chase off last night too (ok, more like I slept though almost 10 calls and txt msgs)... Glad he got free though... I knew about where he was headed (what part of the state at least) and that he was packed for winter camping... I would have made him wait till I was off work... Told him it wasn't safe to head up in a storm.

Naw... Chase is my bud... I'm glad he is safe... And I'll have a good talk with him too on his planning and try to keep better tabs on each other on our runs.

Thanks EVERYONE for looking out for them and being so willing to go help them even in the middle of the night in a storm.
