How long do they wait to post thier pics they get?
Uhmmmm.... about 3 years. At least that's how long it took for them to
finally run a picture of my ZJ. :-) The magazne only comes out 6x a
year.
And Joe: Real jeeps don't have blinkers in the fenders so your flat
fenders were kind of ---- boring???
Anyway, Sharky, way to go! Now I'll have to buy another JP magazine.

Subject: Jeep for sale!
Hello, I hope this is not considered spam….. I figured this might be
the perfect place to find someone who can help me though…….
In trade on a house I sold, I took a Jeep in trade.... I gotta sell
it! It is a 2001 Jeep Sahara with all factory options and in
excellent condition. It is white with tan interior. It has a 2" body
lift, 2" suspension lift, new offroad tires, and a new (never used)
bikini top. It has never seen offroad and even still has some of the
plastic covering on the interior from the factory! Only 19,000 miles!
I'd consider an interesting trade-in.....
If anyone knows of anyone looking, please send them my way as I
really need to sell it (Have 6 cars!) insurance is killing me!
Thanks!!

Subject: A little late with the Thank You to Rick Beer
Last weekend we went to the dunes, ended up not being such a fun
trip, one bad thing after another. First problem was a blown tire
on the trailer. It was about 15 minutes to closing time, we called
Rick in Phoenix (we were about an hour outside of Yuma) and he
hooked us up with the Discount in Yuma. I did have to make the trip
back up from the camp the next day, but they got took care of it
right away with now waiting and gave me a great deal.
Thanks a bunch Rick!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and the guys in
Yuma!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Subject: Trip from Hell...Sorry just had to vent...
Was renting a tent trailer, bad thing was it was also NASCAR
weekend so not many around. They were giving me a hassle about
return time, when a co-worker piped up I could barrow her trailer,
no charge, things were looking up. So her boyfriend is going to
bring it to the airport and we would swap it then (she and I were in
Susanville on Business, that is my story and I am sticking to
it...LOL). He goes Wednesday night to get it from her parents
house, none of the internal electric work. He can't fix it, when I
get it me and my neighbor and his friend spend until 2:30am Friday
morning and we can't fix it. So Jannelle and I take a 2 hour nap,
get up, go to the vendor show in the Cartwright School District to
promote her Preschool. After that we leave about 2 hours late.
Here is where the real fun begins.
About an hour outside of Yuma the trailer blows the left tire.
We arrive at camp to learn about where we broke down Bob and Ann
have broken down, only theirs is either the tranny or rear diff.
The tow truck want another $4.00 per mile to tow the trailer at a
cost of over $200. So Scott and I load up and go back. We load up
the trailer to Scott's Dually and follow them into Yuma to drop it
off at Pep Boys.
Saturday Bob and I drive into Yuma, I drop him off at Pep Boys and I
go to Discount tire for a new tire. Pep Boys is way and I mean WAY
too slow. His truck seems ok, the rear diff fluid is low and
smelled worse than any I have ever smelled. So we have them swap
fluid, I grabbed the gears and carrier and tried to move them around
to be sure nothing was loose and swap the tranny fluid and install a
new filter. We don't leave Yuma until 2:00pm, what a lose of a day
and pretty much our weekend, but we are back at the dunes and time
for fun.
So we start wiring my whip antenna light and KC's, the ladies are
going to go to vendor row and do some shopping. Ann comes back, the
sand rail broke (Shane has a sand rail and his girlfriend was
driving it). We get there to find the engine is seized, tow it back
to camp.
Shane's girlfriend Shannon decides to head back to Yuma for a couple
things she forgot. About half way there she looses power in her
Tahoe. She looks it over, starts it again and if she keeps it under
60 mph she is ok, so she heads back to camp.
Later we decide to head over to the sand drags in Gordons Wells.
After an accident at the end of the drags where a motorcyclist
knocked himself out, the drags were pretty much done for the day, so
we head back toward camp so the quad riders can get jackets and we
can go to Comp Hill.
About 3/4 of the way back, we are not sure how Caren got in between
groups, normally Caren and Ann are back with the 4x4's as we can't
go over the whoops like the quads, Scott, Bob and Jacob are out in
front. This time Caren was trying to stay up with Scott and Jacob
and Bob was hanging back with his wife Ann. Bob came up on an
unmanned Quad, looked around and saw someone laying in a ditch, he
went to assist. A few minutes later we come up on a large group,
figure someone wiped out and was hurt, then a few start waving us
down, I figure it must be real bad and they saw out CB antenna and
need help fast. As I pull up I realize it is Caren and she is not
moving, but good sign I can hear her crying. After a few minutes
Jannelle realizes her husband Scott is not there, we had Shannon's
son in my Jeep and Bob and Ann's daughter, we told them not to get
out when I stopped, they had not. As I climb in to haul off and
find Scott, I yell to get the kids out. I haul ***** off toward camp
(where we were going so they could get jackets) and begin to think
this is going to be like finding a needle in a haystack as they
always go off an play until we catch up. Scott did not know this
time Caren was trying to keep up. I see a border patrol and tell
them where to find her and she is hurt.
I see Scott and Jacob coming back to look for us, I cut across to
get to them and almost roll the Jeep. We head back to the scene, I
tell Scott to look for the border patrol lights. An EMT comes and
looks her over, we pack her up, head back to camp, pack them up so
they can head off to the hospital and then home, we are all sure she
has broken her wrist.
We get a call Sunday morning, indeed she broke her wrist, part of it
is shattered. We head out for a run, but the mood is poor, it
overshadowed my 4 banger making it up Comp Hill for the first time.
Not having Scott and Caren there made it kind of a hallow victory.
They had both seen me try and try and not make it, but were always a
great cheering squad. I should have waited until they could be
there.
We had back to pack up and go home, as we load Shane's rail, it is
noticed his left rear tire on his truck is flat, switch tires. Also
while swapping the new tire for the trailer we were towing, Jannelle
was inside and the trailer shifted off the jack stands and moved and
fell about a foot and moved 3 feet, scared the heck out of her and
me too for that matter.
The long slow haul home was pretty uneventful, but after the weekend
we had that was a VERY good thing. We are all hoping that all the
bad stuff is out of the way for Thanksgiving.
Oh, forgot, when we stopped in Fortuna to gas up, I came out after
getting my change and a bird had crapped on my seat.

Subject: OT: anyone with sinkhole experience?
Was doing my flood irigation in the yard last night and all 45
minutes of water disappeared into the ground via 5 holes the size of
soda cans. It was amazing to see so much water funnel into the ground
and vanish. I started noticing that my basement window deal started
filling up with water that is 8 feet below ground and the bottom of
the wall on that side of the house in the basement has water damage.
I had a 5' section of steel rod that I could stick in these holes to
where my arm would actually go into the holes. Anyone with a backhoe
that could be borrowed to dig up my yard? I have to do something
before my house falls into this never ending sinkhole. This is jeep
related to because now I cant complete my longarm setup and other
projects I had planned :o) TIA Jeff CamoXJ

have laid down the gauntlet, is there an acceptance coming ??? Lovin the

That was you, I thought you ran into a golpher that caused all that,
you did that by yourself?????
Then again as soon as we leave the air down spot the whole thing
might be over, the hummers might decide to give up while still on
the main road...LOL

They just might.

brain...LOL

I'm seeing lots of talk and "blah-blah" but no specific time/place, you
know, "Sunday, High Noon at the OK Corral" type of thing... The Hummer boys
have laid down the gauntlet, is there an acceptance coming ??? Lovin the
melodrama !! Much better than the last drama around here.. Bob J

My neighbor had his septic tanks fill up like that once. That must
have been fun. How many hours of irrigation do you take on?
