Subject: labor day sharky run?
Stuff like this is wicked hard on the family. I was thinking of what my wife
would have to go through if anything like this happened. One or two months
of me out of work could put us in serious trouble. People are donating to
the sharkyfund which is cool. Someone mentioned a car wash which is cool. I
was thinking of hosting a benefit run at the whitetanks on labor day. What
do you guys think? Appetizer, tax collector, firebird and ruler are all
within a mile from each other so there could be runs for all levels. Have
people make a donation to run. Maybe have a BBQ afterward, I have lots of
room at my house and a couple of spare acres for parking and stuff. I am
about 5 miles away from the trail head. Maybe get some of the vendors to
donate some stuff and have a raffle?
Dave Kings got a couple of ramps Im sure we could borrow to have an rti
contest, etc...
Let me know what you think and if you would be willing to help with this
(trail leaders, BBQ cooks, RTI scoring, etc). I think a couple of weeks is
enough time to get it set up. If theres enough interest, I will get
started.
keep our fingers crossed and maybe sharky can judge the bikini contest....:)
Alot of people already have plans for labor day so maybe its not such a good
idea?

Yes, you have to create an account, you will need a checking account
routing number and access to that account, because they will deposite
electronicaly 3 sums of money, generaly less than 10 cents each time,
you then take those amounts once it reaches your bank and use them for
verification.
Another thing, If you use the Paypal Account setup for sharky as a
referance, they will award him and extra $5... So for those of you that
have no paypal yet, use his paypal account info as your referance.
I was absolutly shocked about the news on sharky, even though I have
not yet got to meet him personaly, I followed many threads and love
reading his input on things and all the comradery between sharky and
AZVJC group.
My heart goes out to sharky and his family, We will be praying for a
speedy recovery.
We will be helping any way we can, paypal, carwashes. Whatever. Count
us in.

Let's do it! We were talking about trails in that area being shut down some
day due to development so maybe this is a good opportunity for us to see
some trails that might not be around much longer anyway. We're in also!
BBQ afterwards is an awesome idea too since that's kind of the thing to do
on Labor Day anyway, right?
How about we all pose for a "We Miss You Sharky - Get Well Soon" picture,

If at all possible the following weekend would be better. Anyone
with vacation plans would be better able to make it on an off
holiday weekend, those who cannot donate now and are more
financially strapped would have another week and maybe another
paycheck come in order to budget better, it will give Sharky another
week to recoup and in talking with Sharky's other club, the AzA
would be able to get 100% participation. We all agree this is an
AWESOME idea, we would just like to see it the following weekend.

when they took the tube out and he was pissed (go figure). He is
sleeping still but they have him off of sedation. The doctor said it
may be a while before he regains conciousness due to the swelling,
but the signs have been very good. He is moving around more today,
but his wrists are still restrained to keep him from pulling out

I am still trying to get an idea of what people would like to do. People
have been great. I already received a couple of offers of vendor donations
for the raffle :)
I am actually leaving to go out of town this week and will be back the
saturday before labor day. Most folks have labor day off which is cool. Plus
by labor day, I am guessing that stacey will have had expenses and the
paypal fund may need to be renourished which will be good timing. The
following weekend I leave for work again and I will be gone for 3 weeks. So
I personally wouldnt be able to attend if its the weekend after labor day. I
guess I can post up a poll to see when people want to do it. It would be
great if all his other club members were there. :)

we have heard there were at least 3 roll overs that happened as a
result of this trip, unfortunetly one happened to be severe. I
think for now the family needs our support and prayers more than out

I posted a poll to see when the majority of folks want to do this. I
unfortunately can only make it if its labor day or later in the month.
Maybe Mike or Chris might want to pick this up and run with it if ends up
being another day? Right now, I have a couple of vendors that want to
donate, use of an RTI ramp (2 actually), I have someone to lead all the
trails (including Ruler).
One advantage to having it on labor day is that I will be around and we can
have the BBQ on my acreage. Also...the quicker we do this, the quicker we
can get all the benefits to sharkys family. But I agree with Chris. Another
week or so might be the difference in Sharky being able to attend himself.
Which would make all the difference in the world.
In any case, as long as it happens...it will be a good thing.
The Undertakers have been talking about having a poker run which we will
probably do at a later time and donate the money to the sharky fund too.
Vote now and vote often... LOL

I'm running 5.5" of lift and 33x12.50x15's......I have a Hunter front
bumper, but still hit the tops of the fender well at full stuff (I need to
add another puck to my bumpstop). The rear stock bumper is getting chewed
up pretty good at full stuff, and sometimes even comes off the mount. You
will have to cut stock front and rear bumpers......use adjustable control
arms, and set your bumpstop height accordingly.

I am trying to find were exhaust is coming into the cab of my jeep. It seems to be coming from under the dash on the passenger side. Is it possible the it may be leaking from the charcoal canister. It only gets in the cab when i am on the freeway or doing about 50mph. What do you guys think? By the way it is an 88xj. Thanks guys....

Whatever. Count

think for now the family needs our support and prayers more than out
questions.

Subject: Re: labor day sharky run?
LOL

Joe Balagowski or even a tree hugger. This club finds a way to help.
What I'm trying to say, I guess, is I'm damn proud to know some of
you and just as proud of the ones I haven't met yet. MOre important
Sharkey is damn proud of you all. He may not be able to tell at this

I do know of him, is THAT HE WILL PULL THROUGH and be wheeling with
us soon. I'M PROUD TO BE A MEMBER OF THIS CLUB!! Anything I can do to
help, I will. If something gets set up for the East Valley, I'm in.

Many probably don't know that most of the propane vehicles have to be

I'm running 5.5" of lift and 33x12.50x15's......I have a Hunter front
bumper, but still hit the tops of the fender well at full stuff (I need to
add another puck to my bumpstop). The rear stock bumper is getting chewed
up pretty good at full stuff, and sometimes even comes off the mount. You
will have to cut stock front and rear bumpers......use adjustable control
arms, and set your bumpstop height accordingly.

Since when? is this the "new improved" design? If it is then that is
dumb.
My friend has a propane conversion on his Chevy truck and it starts
fine on propane.
I still like better diesel too.

Subject: exhaust leak
I am trying to find were exhaust is coming into the cab of my jeep. It seems to be coming from under the dash on the passenger side. Is it possible the it may be leaking from the charcoal canister. It only gets in the cab when i am on the freeway or doing about 50mph. What do you guys think? By the way it is an 88xj. Thanks guys....
