Yeah, besides our prayers, what else can we do? Like someone else said, cut
the grass, make dinner, run errands, give blood, babysitting - someone
please post any needs the family has. I remember hearing about in olden days
people used to cook meals so the family didn't have to. My family would love
to help anyway we can.

Sharky wasn't the only roll over yesterday on that road. Edmund was
heading down and lost his brakes. While down shifting to try and get
through one of the hair pin turns he layed his jeep on its side. No one
was hurt in this one though. Vechile damage was pretty minimal. Much
less than it would have been had he gone over the edge.
Problem was caused by a brake line coming loose. During the accident he
broke the right front and left rear shock mounts off. I was the first
VJC there. A stock Toyota pickup had already stopped and they had it up
right when I got there. Ran back up the CK for some brake fluid and
told Sharky. Sharky was out of there like a flash to help Edmund once
he realized I wasn't ****ting him.
That road is a dangerous road especially without sway bars.

Chris, I called yavapai county sheriffs office and they said that they have
the call but are going to locate the jeep for me. The lady is going to give the
message to the responding officer to give me a call on my cell so he could
give me the details of where it's at. I'll keep you updated.

Here is an update, I know it is not much, but the list of needs I am

Jay brought lunch over for the kids today, I am not sure where
dinner stands, if someone wants to jump in for that please let me
know. The next worry for Stacy is getting Sharky's Jeep back in
their possession, it will be going to Duffy's (thanks Duffy).
So far the biggest thing was been watching the kids, lunch and the
Jeep (ok, the biggest is getting prayers for Sharky). Have not
really had an opportunity to assess what is next. My wife is kinda
working on that while she is over there. As soon as I get a list I
will be sure to post it.
We and the family to appreciate everyone's efforts, you are all a

Glad to hear everything is alright with Edmund. I wouldnt even want to think
about losing brakes on that road (or the backway..jeez) . It doesnt surprise
me that Sharky jumped to his aide, thats just how he is. :)
Id like to think that thats how most of us are. And god forbid anything like
this happens to anyone else , at least we can help the family get through
this as best they can.
We were saying that the road had a lot of debris in it from the rain washing
away. Plus sharkys got the same front end as me and I know my rig is sloppy
when it comes to trying to make some emergency type of swerve or whatever.
I dont run sway bars and I would bet sharky doesnt either. I just have to
drive with extreme caution. Add the fact that it was 3 am ...its dark and he
was probably a little tired from the day so your reflexes arent quite as
good.

Ok, if anyone can help with these items that would be great.
Dinner for tonight, my wife is holding down the fort with the kids
and can't really get away to get something and bring it back.
Also, Dalton is of course board and frustrated and the only things
he has to take his mind off this is his Playstation 2. Does anyone
have any Playstation 2 games out there? He is bored with the ones
he has. If so please right you name and phone number on them so
they can be returned to you, this would just be to borrow and give
him something to do.
If you can help with either of these please contact my wife at 623-
340-0884.
Thanks again for all your help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I guess somewhat is the right term, my wife is at his house and
getting messages and updates and I a posting them. Currently I am
in Colorado on business (what great timing) so I am doing what I
can, but hate not being there. I think right now it is mostly being
done by committee, I know Joe West and Anthony are working on
getting the Jeep back, Frank is working on the paypal thing.
I do know his kids don't go back to school until later in the week,
so that won't be a problem. Sharky's parents are coming into town
and will be helping out too, so I/we are kind of in limbo on how
much help they are going to want and need. I will do my best to
keep you updated about more things as they arise, sorry I am not
being more specific.
We all do appreciate everything everyone is doing, I know Stacy is
very greatful and I know Sharky will be too when he wakes up and all
the rest of us are greatful for everything too!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just left the hospital. Sharky is doing OK. Critical, but stable. If the
way he looks now is any indication of his recovery, I'd say he'll do just
fine. Of course, he's heavily sedated and will be in ICU for a few days.
Joe, Duffy wanted me to give you his cell #. He's out of town, but said you
can leave the jeep at his place. his # is 602-524-6810.
Joe, I assume you have access to a trailer and truck, but if not, I have
both. My # is 602-430-5638
Also, Stacie really needs Sharky's phone to retrieve phone numbers from it.
She thought it should be in the center console. If you aren't able to get it
to her, lemme know and I'll take care of it.

I woke up today thinking I was going to have a whole lot of emails about how the trips were, how much fun it was, and people explaining what obstacle Sharky rolled on. But I never expected this. Not at all. Sharky has helped me a few times working on my jeep and has been a great contact person as I'm standing in the middle of AutoZone without a clue as to what part/tool to get. Sharky has a great personality and free spirit. He is always willing to help out. Once when I went over to have him help me out his dad was in town and it was so great to see them working together eventhough his dad has about as much of a clue as I do when it comes to fixing jeeps. While I was there a neighbor boy came over to see what we were doing and Sharky made a huge effort to stop and talk to the boy. He could have said to go away or just ignore him, but no that's not who he is. I am literally on the verge of tears since I read these emails this morning. I've been praying and pulling for him all
day. He is such a great guy and a terrific asset to this jeep club. Sorry about the rambling, but I just needed to put my thoughts down for a minute. My wife and I are praying hard for his full recovery and that God continues to bless and comfort his family during these hard times.

Hi Bill,
I think right now, with Sharky clearly out of work for awhile... I
suspect that a donation will be the best thing you can do in the short
term. In the long term, I'm sure there will be lots of work we all can
pitch in on.
Thanks for your thoughts Bill...

Yeah, besides our prayers, what else can we do? Like someone else said,
cut
the grass, make dinner, run errands, give blood, babysitting - someone
please post any needs the family has. I remember hearing about in olden

We all do appreciate everything everyone is doing, I know Stacy is
very greatful and I know Sharky will be too when he wakes up and all
the rest of us are greatful for everything too!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am sending stacey the account info. Anyone who has ever known
anyone that has experienced this type of tragedy knows how much they
are dealing with right now. I think Chris said his wife is watching
their children right now while she is at the hospital. Maybe we can
arrange for some other members of the group to help during the week
(pick up kids from school or whatever)?

We just got home about noon, and I just got on. God! I thought it was
a prank! There's not a lot we can do from up here, but say to
Sharky's family that our prayers are with you and we wish Sharky a
speedy recovery. The one thing we can do, but I need help figuring it
out, is to donate to Sharky's fund. everytime I try to go to it off
the egroups it just gives me a message window. Can Rick Beers or
someone who has donated give us the paypal directions Please?
PS May God in his infinite wisdom, be with Sharky and his family.

Bill,
You will need to set up a paypal account first. Go to
http://www.paypal.com and set up a account.
once the acct is set up you log in, then press the link that
says "Send Money". then its pretty self explanitory from there.

Hi Bill,
I think right now, with Sharky clearly out of work for awhile... I
suspect that a donation will be the best thing you can do in the short

I remember hearing about in olden
days
people used to cook meals so the family didn't have to. My family would
love
to help anyway we can.

I just spoke with Janelle and everything is ok at Sharky's house.
Dinner is taken care of and they don't need anything at this time
except prayers.
Janelle has my cell phone number and will call if she needs anything,
but if anybody else (Jeep recovery, whatever) needs help give me a
call at 623-334-8883.

For those of us who read forum posts via the Yahoo group website,
email addresses are truncated (like Brandon's, below), thus the
sharkyfund email address isn't fully visible. Can someone post the
domain portion of the address please so we can make a donation?
Thanks,
Matt

Matt,
The SharkyFund address is sharkyfund@h... or if for some reason that doesn't show correctly it's sharkyfund at hotmail dot com.
