Jeeps...well tonight I installed one in my TJ to test out and show
off at CK this week end for "MobileMist.com". After a quick install I
took the Jeep for a ride and so far Im VERY impressed with it, I was
not expecting to notice it much...wrong. We will see how it does at
CK this weekend and for anyone wanting to check it out look for my
rig Sat. This is as close as Ill get to having my A/C back :)

Well somethng else to consider too, is that sounds like this is a
"blanket" service bulletin. There is one thing about a soft top TJ or YJ (which
good guess would be 3200 -3500lbs with some trail gear) running at 30 LBS
versus something like a Super Duty or Full SUV (Which would be 6000+)running the
same tire and presure. Gotta have more air for the heavies.
John K
Great Example: I once, many, many years ago, gave into peer presure and
everyones advice and aired down my tires on my Land Cruiser to around
12/15lbs for a good trail. I was running BFG muds. In the past I had never gone
below 20 on the front/18 rear. Long stroy short. I tore the living #$@&
out of those poor tires. They were severly mangled. Probelm? Land
Cruiser weighs close to 5200. All the others in the group were running the same
tire/presure but they were all in stripped down jeeps.

Phil,
If you are using it as a limit switch for an OBA, I can see no problem
hooking it up either way. If the switch has two terminals and you
intentions are to wire it in series with the +12V line that somehow
controls the York electric clutch (perhaps through a relay?), then it
should not matter which way you hook up the pressure switch.

The wear the guy was talking about was IN the plys of the sidewalls.
I guess I didn't think tire size mattered since I wasn't referring to
tread wear.
The guy said something about an infrared devise measuring this wear.
The result of the wear (he says) is causing the sidewall ply to
separate, thus causing a blowout.
I've never heard of this. 40 lbs seems way to high for any size tire
on a TJ to me (unless you have those dorky rims and tires on the TJ
in Ken's photo!)...
For the record, I've got 31x10.5 on 7" rims.

Emergency call to friends.............
I just received a call from Tammy Pike and she needs help. She is in a
family medical crisis and needs to get some things straightened around at
her home in Black Canyon City ASAP......
They have a Truck Camper for a full sized truck on their property that needs
to be gone this weekend. She is willing to give it to someone if they want
it. I don't know much about it other than it has the beds but the refrig is
missing.... it probably needs some work but for the cost of "taking it from
her property" it may well be a deal for someone.
If anyone is interested, please call her at her home. 623.374.9444
For any of you that may have an hour or two to help her out leveling a piece
of property for a shed or simply do some odds and ends re lifing or moving
things would also be appreciated.

Have one in by OBA system. You will use L1 and T1. Look at the
contacts. There is not connection between L1 and L2. I use T2 and L2,
but it doesn't matter. Just use one of the pairs next to each other.
Make sense?

New to the area and would like to rent a space to work on my jeep. I
moved to Johnson Ranch off Hunt Hwy (7 miles south of Queen Creek).
Do not need much space at all, part of a garage or barn, or even pole
shed. Would prefer off the beaten path so as to not draw attention
I'm from Las Cruces N.M., retired 31 July 03, have my own tools,
don't smoke, or drink.

I've not run this trail before and have no idea where it starts.
Closest big intersection for me is 35th ave and I-10. So easiest
directions from there or I'll meet someone on the west side and
follow you.

All it needs now is a VJC sticker! :) I wonder how my Jeep
would look with those wheels and tires...that would be sweet!

Thanks, Kit

Subject: Call for Help
THANKS all........ Sandee

Have one in by OBA system. You will use L1 and T1. Look at the
contacts. There is not connection between L1 and L2. I use T2 and L2,
but it doesn't matter. Just use one of the pairs next to each other.
Make sense?
