I know from working retail that it is a big no no, for something
like this to go without taking it to the next level. Is there a
corporate office she can call??? I know that if it's a large
corporation she can usually call without giving her name and I'm
pretty sure they'll do a lot to avoid any sort of litigation.....
if it's a smaller company that might be based here you probably
don't have as many options.... have you thought about having such
issues recorded to document the offenses???

Just wanted to let the group know we've got some spare puppies running
around. We're pretty picky about what homes we let them go to and interview
so we know we've got a good match. I will give a "discount" on the price for
Jeep club members. They've been vet checked, had their first shots, and we
take care of the next sets of shots as well. There are 3 males (Mojo, Kahlua
& Jersey) tentatively left that are almost 8 weeks old. If you want a
reference about the personality or quality of the puppies, just ask
Sharky -- he's got Hook for a new Jeepin' buddy.
Here's a link to pics of the pups:
http://www.geocities.com/sjretzlaff/pics2.html
The pics are from when the puppies were about 6 weeks old and they've gotten
bigger since -- we can send more information to anyone who is interested.

I don't believe so.................. I've had another group talk about
"Turkey Creek" but I'm not sure this trail is reflected on the mapping for
the Phoenix RMP. Will someone send me GPS coordinances or show me on a map
where this is?
It sounds as though it's a popular trail but I don't think it's on the
inventory.

I was out there saturday,
The garbage was absolutely disgusting to say the least, I hate to
point fingers, But in defense of us OHV people, most of this mess is
from teh boaters camping on the shorelines. Its beyond pathetic. And it
would take several dump trucks to haul it all off!
Is it possible to obtain a burn permit and dig a pit? I don't think 10
jeeps with trailers could pull half of it away. It would only put a dent
in it. And at the rate i've been seeing the trash collecting I'd guess
in 2 weekends it would be back to the same. :\
#!#@WTF&%$#@! IS GOING ON OUT THERE! I've never in my entire life seen
such neglect for the next fellow camper/boater/OHV'er or the
environment. I'm no flaming tree hugger by any means, but this IS
ridiculous!
What's our options. Can we recruit more clubs and have a contest? Who
can collect/haul the most garbage wins the golden garbage award? hehe
Maybe we can meet, divide the group into coves and atleast get some of
the shoreline areas which are the worst.
I'm game to help. I live in East Mesa, pretty much my back yard.
Somebody has to do something. Input please.

The Coves is within Tonto FS.............. please, before going off in a
huff regarding "who" does what, contact Tammy Pike at the Tonto FS
Supervisors Office on McDowell..... She was with the State Land Dept. until
early May. She has always backed the OHV community and always "found" money
in the agencies budget to help out with dumpsters. The Game & Fish have
also helped out with dumpsters each year. They have coordinated a clean up
each year at the Coves as well as Sycamore. You are also correct in that
budgets are all short................ maybe our dealers, shops, recycling
shops etc, can join with the agencies in helping to get dumpsters on site.
We've never had problems getting the volunteers out..........
You are absolutely right in that if WE do not take care of our lands they
will be closed!!! It might be time to start a campaign to connect with the
boating group through the docks and let them know they must join in and
"respect our lands".....

By no means was I trying to flame anyone. All I am trying to say is if
they cant afford it then I will make the effort, I am not pointing
fingers to anyone but bottom line is people need to stop talking and
lets just do it and do it in a big way so people recognize that we do
care about our land and don't want it shut down, I am sure if Friedman
is gonna cough up dumpsters I am gonna get him all the publicity I can
for him helping us out, I want this to be e big thing and make sure
everyone knows that us members of the AZVJC and other clubs are doing
something, If I can talk to a radio station and get them out there as
well I will, we can make a day out of it and show that we ALL care about
this and we are ALL doin something about it. Besides free or low cost
dumpsters is more money for the states budget to spend on other crucial
areas like manpower and things of that nature who wouldn't enjoy that?

Bill,
I used to run an ARB in an 8.8 so I've got some experience with
that.
1) Pull the wheel and disassemble the brakes. You can't pull the
shaft if the brakes are in the way.
2) Use an allen wrench to remove the pin on the cross shaft. There
is only one that needs to be removed. Pull out the cross shaft.
3) Now that the cross shaft is removed the axleshaft can be pushed
inwards allowing you to remove the c-clip. The c-clip will literally
fall off the shaft if you just rotate the c-clip and push on it
gently.
4) Once the c-clip is out you should be able to slide out the
axleshaft.
I'm not doing anything today so if you are still having trouble give
me a call.

I need to look at a map to locate the boundarys but it looks like the
Crown King area to Horse Thief Basin is off limits for camping.
The forest office has not answerd their phone for me yet.

Prescott National Forest Lifts Restrictions Over Most of Forest
PRESCOTT Ariz—Prescott National Forest officials have decided to lift
fire restrictions over most of the forest on Tuesday, July 29, 2003 at 8
a.m. The closure area around Castle Creek Wilderness and Horsethief
Basin will continue and the forest will maintain campfire and smoking
restriction on the forest adjacent to the closure.
“Over the last several days we have seen considerable improvement in
conditions on the forest including the Energy Release Component. We have
had higher humidity and some precipitation. Weather forecasts also
predict a continuation of the current weather pattern which should bring
some rain almost every day,” said Prescott National Forest Fire
Management Officer Robert Morales.
The lifting of restrictions means the forest is open for visitors to use
campfires. Forest officials want to stress that visitors should use
campfires with caution. Do not leave your campfire unattended, and do
not leave until the fire is completely out.
Conditions at the southern end of the Bradshaw are drier than other
portions of the forest. For this reason the closure area around Castle
Creek Wilderness and Horsethief Basin will remain in effect. The
boundary for the closed area is described as; from the Forest boundary
south and west along Forest Road 259 to Poland Creek, then south along
the Castle Creek Wilderness boundary to Whiskey Springs, then south
along Forest Road 100 to trail 233, then southwest along the trail to
the Forest boundary, then east and north along the Forest boundary to
Forest Road 259.
The forest will also maintain campfire and smoking restrictions adjacent
to the closure. The boundary for campfire and smoking restrictions is
County Road 177, the Mayer/Goodwin Road, to Forest Road 52, Senator
Highway, to Forest Road 362 to the forest boundary.
“We would like to see these areas receive about an inch of rain, or a
combination of rain and further improvement of the fuel moisture levels
and Energy Release Component before lifting the restrictions and closure
area in the southern Bradshaws,” said District Ranger Ernie Del Rio.
For information related to fire restrictions and general fire
information on public lands in the southwest, you can go to:

Hi,
Sorry to hear about you wife's situation. It is a very difficult one
indeed. I used to work for a lawyer referral service here in Phoenix
and the firm we used exclusively for Sexual Harassment work is:
Kerrin & Osborne PC

They are very nice folks and can take good care of you. Hope this
helps and good luck.

You need to contact the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, known as
the EEOC. They go to bat regarding anything related to Title VII of the
Civil Rights Act of 1964 which prohibits employment discrimination on the
basis of race, color, religion, sex, or national origin. Here's the link:
http://www.eeoc.gov/ Go to how to file a claim. Good luck!

Subject: Re: OT but need Help Sexual Harassment
I know from working retail that it is a big no no, for something
like this to go without taking it to the next level. Is there a
corporate office she can call??? I know that if it's a large
corporation she can usually call without giving her name and I'm
pretty sure they'll do a lot to avoid any sort of litigation.....
if it's a smaller company that might be based here you probably
don't have as many options.... have you thought about having such
issues recorded to document the offenses???

I'm looking for a chevy 350 block. I'm going to be building a 383
and need a block to start with so the truck is still driveable....
would prefer a 4bolt main and one that still uses a two piece rear
main seal

Tell Sharky to put Hook in a 5 point doggie harness... given Sharky's
propensity to roll, poor Hook could loose some appendages and then we'd have
to call him Captain Hook!

Subject: Re: removeing an axle from 8.8
Bill,
I used to run an ARB in an 8.8 so I've got some experience with

For information related to fire restrictions and general fire
information on public lands in the southwest, you can go to:
www.fs.fed.us/r3/fire or call toll free 1-877-864-6985.

Hi,
Sorry to hear about you wife's situation. It is a very difficult one
indeed. I used to work for a lawyer referral service here in Phoenix
and the firm we used exclusively for Sexual Harassment work is:
Kerrin & Osborne PC

Phoenix, AZ 85044-0001

They are very nice folks and can take good care of you. Hope this
helps and good luck.

You need to contact the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, known as
the EEOC. They go to bat regarding anything related to Title VII of the
Civil Rights Act of 1964 which prohibits employment discrimination on the
basis of race, color, religion, sex, or national origin. Here's the link:
http://www.eeoc.gov/ Go to how to file a claim. Good luck!
