Subject: Waggy 44 tie rod end size?
Anyone know the size of the tie rod ends used on Waggy 44's? Specifically,
I need the size of the tie rod end used at the pitman arm end of the drag link
on a '86 Grand Waggy Dana 44.
Thanks,
Roger

Yes but you will need to get the front end aligned, or at least toed correctly. The axle will be off to one side somewhat, so you would need to get an adjustable trackbar at some point. Might have bump steer issues, as the pitman arm is short.
Shouldn't affect drive line since it's just 3" (don't hold me to that) but you might have fall out (of the drive line ) if really flexed.

Anyone else running a lift with stock arms and trac bar location? thanks.

He will be buying a brand new 2003 and with the options he wants the
only one available will be the quadra trac. He might lift it (2-3
inches at most) a couple of inches and the hardest trail he will
ever do would be the CK run and with that there is a 99% chance he
would take all the bypasses. I guess I should have been more
specific, his main concern is how it will handle on road with the
extra wear and tear and handling. Off road it will be fine for what
he needs.
Sorry for the confusion.

You don't necessarily need an adjustable front track bar. A new hole can be
drilled to relocate the axle end about 3/4" inboard. Also, it is a good
idea to get the relocation bracket for the rear track bar. You may also need
to lower the transfer case if you have vibration issues. The complete
teraflex 3" kit comes with all this stuff. Check out their "install center"
at www.teraflx.com.

Subject: removeing an axle from 8.8
I have an arb locker in my 8.8. I found out that the axle is bent and I
have a spare. It is the C-clip style axle and I have the instructions
for removing the D35c axle that looks very similar. When I went to try
it on the 8.8 it seems like I am missing something. I removed the small
retainer pin from the arb locker and tried to remove the (sorry I don't
know the terminology) shaft that holds the two gears on either side
shown in this picture
http://68.2.176.224:23232/media/cdrom/Bill's%20Jeep%20070.jpg
but it wouldn't come out, wouldn't even move. Is there any special
trick to doing this, and is this how to remove the axle on an 8.8 with
an ARB locker?
Thanks

Subject: OT Pit Bull Puppies
Just wanted to let the group know we've got some spare puppies running around. We're pretty picky about what homes we let them go to and interview so we know we've got a good match. I will give a "discount" on the price for Jeep club members. They've been vet checked, had their first shots, and we take care of the next sets of shots as well. There are 3 males (Mojo, Kahlua & Jersey) tentatively left that are almost 8 weeks old. If you want a reference about the personality or quality of the puppies, just ask Sharky -- he's got Hook for a new Jeepin' buddy.
Here's a link to pics of the pups: http://www.geocities.com/sjretzlaff/pics2.html
The pics are from when the puppies were about 6 weeks old and they've gotten bigger since -- we can send more information to anyone who is interested.

No rrom for pit bull puppies, plus, Grettchen would bite the nose
off one of those little guys and then attack its neck. She's a ferocious

Off road it will be fine for what
he needs.

You don't necessarily need an adjustable front track bar. A new hole can be
drilled to relocate the axle end about 3/4" inboard. Also, it is a good
idea to get the relocation bracket for the rear track bar. You may also need
to lower the transfer case if you have vibration issues. The complete
teraflex 3" kit comes with all this stuff. Check out their "install center"
at www.teraflx.com.

I was out there saturday,
The garbage was absolutely disgusting to say the least, I hate to
point fingers, But in defense of us OHV people, most of this mess is
from teh boaters camping on the shorelines. Its beyond pathetic. And it
would take several dump trucks to haul it all off!
Is it possible to obtain a burn permit and dig a pit? I don't think 10
jeeps with trailers could pull half of it away. It would only put a dent
in it. And at the rate i've been seeing the trash collecting I'd guess
in 2 weekends it would be back to the same. :\
#!#@WTF&%$#@! IS GOING ON OUT THERE! I've never in my entire life seen
such neglect for the next fellow camper/boater/OHV'er or the
environment. I'm no flaming tree hugger by any means, but this IS
ridiculous!
What's our options. Can we recruit more clubs and have a contest? Who
can collect/haul the most garbage wins the golden garbage award? hehe
Maybe we can meet, divide the group into coves and atleast get some of
the shoreline areas which are the worst.
I'm game to help. I live in East Mesa, pretty much my back yard.
Somebody has to do something. Input please.

>The pics are from when the puppies were about 6 weeks old and they've gotten bigger since -- we can send more information to anyone who is interested.
