Hey there's nothing wrong with Lowrider or JP magazines. I don't know what
all JP magazine wrote, but I'm sure they have their reasons for saying what
little I read.

I stopped JP magazine because it turned into one GIANT advertisement for
offroad products.

It seemed like they really liked EVERYTHING they reviewed, and they
reviewed EVERYTHING on the face of the Earth. I began to wonder if I'd
ever read anything that they didn't like...

But wait! The heavens opened and the waters parted... and I finally
read something they didn't like...

THE FENDERS ON MY JEEP!

They called them funky... :(

I cancelled my subscription the next day.

oops, it was just the article, not the jeep. Sorry! but the jeep is in the
movie, and it's sweet. Too bad Ms. Jolie doesn't come with it.

Shortly I will be installing a header onot my TJ due to the infamous
exhaust manifold crack problem. I was wondering if anyone had done
this beofer and what their advice could be for someone doing it for
the first time? I have hand tools and thats it. If anyone knows of
a good shop or that buddy who does this sort of thing for cheap I
would love to hear that as well. Thanks for any and all help.

Another contradiction in this issue is they state that the '00-Present TJ is
on their "10 Best Used Jeeps"

This would include the Rubicon, no?

Subject: post lift Q's

Hey Folks with copious amouts of knowledge in your noodle I have a question!

I Finished putting a 4" lift on my 84 Cj7. (yeah!!!) test drove fine, up to
55 mph no shaking and steering seems normal.

I did not use my drop pitman arm and did nothing to the transfer case to
adjust the drive line angle.

So, the questions are how do will I know if I need to put on the drop pitman
arm?
And What problems should I look for in the drive line?

TIA

Rayne

I've done it, and it was pretty straight forward.. I used a friends shop
(auto repair).. Having a lift (shop lift) helped a lot, getting at the
bottom bolts. No lying on my back ;)
Anyway you'll need a good 14mm wrench, and a 14 mm swivel socket...
Go to Autozone, etc., and get a package of the A/C, fuel line disconnection
tools.. They'll little plastic tools, and it makes life so much easier to be
able to disconnect the fuel rail (keeping the fuel rail and injectors
attached to the intake manifold) from the fuel like and remove the intake
manifold completely.. Only takes 5 seconds or so to discconnect it and
another 5 seconds or so to reconnect it.

Best,
Fred
