Rating: 3.0-

Never led a trip before and never been on this trail but what the hey.
7 to 8 miles of fun with some 3 rated obstructions. The trail follows the power line from near Overgaard to Aripine road with lots of up and down hills. This trail is a 4+ with snow on the ground. There are a few play areas such as Push's Bowl, a dry tank most of the year. Most of the difficult hills have by-passes for stock vehicles. Trail can be driven by stock vehicle with care. At Aripine road you can turn left and drive through Aripine and back to SR 260.
Most inboard and stern drive boats have to use this method due to the
inaccessability of the drain plugs. Cheap pumps are usually very slow and a
pain in my opinion. I would rather take the plug out and let it drain.

The upstairs served as a place repose for women of ill fame.

Bumble Bee.

By "budget boost", I assume you mean you used spacers to lift the
jeep. Doing so changes your caster and toe on the front axle. Your
front tires might be fighting each other at slower speeds, untill the
drag against your front tires "toes out" the front end to quiet it.
The changes might also have made it easier to feel tire imbalance.
Try rotating the tires, (or maybe rotate them back?).

It's designed to cause the noise in the air intake to resonate. If
you remove it you may notice more power, but I think it's based more
on a psychological reaction to the increased noise from the motor
than an actual increase in power. I've done this to both the TJ and
YJ I have owned.

Vibration from the rear driveline. You can't just lift a vehicle
without taking into consideration how it affects your driveline
geometry.
It may be possible to adjust your upper arms using some cam bolts.
There are many sources for these. Others use adjustable control
arms. Best solution is a CV shaft and slip yoke eliminator kit,
though that usually isn't necessary until you approach 4" or more of
lift.

Subject: RE: [Tech] 2002 TJ - Vibration
Your rear drive shaft angle is now slight off (the frame and the t-case
is now sitting 2" higher than before, compared to your rear
differential).
There are a couple things you can do:
1. Lower the transfer case skid a little bit. There are $35 kits that
do this or you can stack some washers between the skid and the frame (I
am not to crazy about the latter method). The draw back to this is that
your skid now sits lower and somewhat negates the reason you lifted your
Jeep. The advantage is that it is cheap.
2. Some folks can get enough improvement buy putting in 1" higher motor
mounts, which tilts the output shaft of the t-case back down a bit. The
draw back to this is you will need to move your radiator fan shroud so
that it does not rub. Some folks do a 1" body lift at the same time,
and they don't have to relocate the shroud. Another advantage to this
is that it lifts your oil pan up an inch so it is more out of harms way
and you gain an inch at your fender wells so you can stuff a little
bigger tire in there if you so desire.
3. You can put a SYE and CV drive shaft on, add a pair of rear
adjustable control arms, and dial out your vibrations in that manner.
This is the most expensive method but it is also the cleanest and really
does properly correct the problem at the source.
There may be some other methods available as well, but I am not that
familiar with them. If you wish to do #3, drop me an e-mail. I have
everything you need to do it sitting in my garage (just pulled them from
my TJ) at much less than what you would pay for new parts.

Correct. It actually "tunes" the air intake system to "match" or
optimize air intake under specific engine loads. You'll see
manufacturers do all sorts of funky things like adding resonator tubes
(which go no where but just "hang" off the air intake. I suspect that
Chrysler engineers spent a great deal of time tuning the intake on the
YJ and XJ, and something tells me that it is probably better to leave it
in than take it out... but perhaps not. It will be interesting to hear
what the results of people doing this are.

It's designed to cause the noise in the air intake to resonate. If
you remove it you may notice more power, but I think it's based more
on a psychological reaction to the increased noise from the motor
than an actual increase in power. I've done this to both the TJ and
YJ I have owned.

Subject: HEPL!!!!! A DIMMIE WANTS TO NSTALL GEARS AND LOCKERS!!!!!!
I have no idea how to put in gears or a locker. And I have a 9" and a
D30 to build. Anyone know where I can get a "Dummies Guide to Gear
Instalation" manual from? Or is anyone up for a fun filled Sat? I'm
on government salary and can't afford to pay a shop to do the work
for me. I've been quoted anywhere from $800 and up just for labor!
I'd like to learn as much as I can about axles as I can other than
they somehow make the wheels spin. More than anything I'd like to
have someone there to advise and be the infamous third hand when
needed. The 9" is sitting in the grage, itchin' for the 410's and
detroit and the D30 is still on my Jeep needing it's gear and quick
lock. My Jeep is my daily driver so I'd need this done in a weekend,
if possible.
I'm willing to learn and want to get back to wheelin' "Mistress" has
seen WAY TOO MUCH asphalt lately. And the recent rains she's got that
look in her eye!!!! ;)
Thanx in advance for your help!
