Hey Roy,
Performance Friction pads are great, get them at Autozone.
Here is a great write-up on Stu's site:
http://www.stu-offroad.com/misc/frontbrakes-1.htm
On the second page it talks about them.

OK, here is the skinny on these misters. The reservoir
is $55 and includes the misting nozzles and all the
connectors, valves ect. You can buy the compressor
separately or use your own. Any 12V DC one will do. I
have one that shuts off automatically, but it is not
necessary. If you need to buy one, the basic one is
$19.00 and the automatic shut-off variety is $40.
The web-site is not up for some reason so e-mail

ROADLESS AREA CONSERVATION RULE PERMANENTLY FROZEN
The Federal District Court, District of Wyoming issued a permanent
injunction against the Clinton Inventoried Roadless Area Rule,
stopping its implementation country wide, based on the courts
findings in State of Wyoming v. USDA (U.S. Dept. of Agriculture).
The court found that the Forest Service violated the National
Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) and the Wilderness Act. "Our biggest
concern with the rule from the start was the creation of de facto
wilderness", said Carla Boucher, attorney for United and an authority
on the rule. The court determined that a decision to prohibit road
construction essentially managed Roadless Areas as if they were
Congressionally designated Wilderness. "This case sends a clear
message to the agency that decisions that dictate Wilderness
management and preclude multiple-use management for areas not
Congressionally designated as Wilderness will not be tolerated",
concluded Boucher.
United Four Wheel Drive Associations is an international organization
comprised of four wheel drive enthusiasts, clubs, associations, and
businesses dedicated to providing community services around the
world, education in responsible land use and safe vehicle operation,
and protection of our natural resources through conservation
practices.

Hey guys for a while now I have been trying to locate a co2 tank
regulator that is 125 psi constant. I have a 10 gallon tank that it
will be hooking up to. The problem I am having is that the regulator
that I am finding only go up to 80 psi. Will this be enough to fill
up a 33"? The guy at the weling shop says maybe so I thought I would
get your opinions. If you can help me out on where to buy them also

All the regulator does is determine the amount of air that is going to be
allowed to escape the tank at any given time. It will have no effect on
whether or not your 33 will fill up (except the smaller regulator will mean
that it will take a longer time to fill the tire up). An 80 psi regulator
will let you run air tools as well.
A 10 pound C02 should fill at least 20 33inch tires back up from trail
pressure.

The output psi of the regulator really has nothing to do with it's "ability"
to fill up a certain tire size.. All it does, along with the flow rate
(designed into the regulator), is determine how fast the tire is filled..
FWIW, 80 psi will be fine.
Check out Williams Helium and Ballons (do a search here for the phone
number).. They have fixed output (any psi that you want), for about $35.00..

Fred

I bought one locally that is 125# for about $35. Vern Lewis Welding had
them when I built mine. The 80# will fill your tires but the air tools and
that stubborn bolt will respond much better to the 125#. Jim F.

The other consideration is that the regulator will probably put out less
than 80 psi. The 125psi I had purchased from Vern Lewis only put out 112
psi max and gradually decreased the colder it got.

I run a 150 psi unit from Williams balloon and it puts out about 125 at the
outlet side when not frozen. I forget the exact figure but it is something
like 20% pressure drop at the outlet from the rated regulator pressure.

like to know if anyone can help me with it.
I have the barpin eliminators for my rear shocks. And both bolts, over time,
looseneed and just fell out and my shock was dragging on the ground. So I took the
shock completely off. Well, I got new bolts and tried to install it again, and the holes
but the threads are all messed up. So, i got a tap, and thread one of the holes, then
went to do the next..and the tap broke in half and there's a piece of metal stuck
inside the hole. I've tried a few different ways to get it out, and it just will not come
out. So I'm riding my TJ without a rear left shock and I would like to fix it ASAP
(especially becuase I'm going to Utah and california soon). So anyone who can help

Bill this is very good news as it tells the agencies they can not manage
roadless areas as if they were wilderness until Congress says it is a
wilderness area. This can also help in any court cases on wilderness study
areas. When we went to the Prescott BLM meeting they did not like me calling
all their wilderness study areas "illegal wilderness areas" This now helps
prove that point. It is not wilderness until the Congress says it is!!! Jim

Bill this is very good news as it tells the agencies they can
not manage
roadless areas as if they were wilderness until Congress says it is a
wilderness area. This can also help in any court cases on wilderness
study
areas. When we went to the Prescott BLM meeting they did not like me
calling
all their wilderness study areas "illegal wilderness areas" This now
helps
prove that point. It is not wilderness until the Congress says it is!!!

HELLO,
i had the same problem, back and side windows. you zip it and the
teeth do not grab, so the zipper separates when it should be closed.
i was able to get all mine to work again. i rubbed "parafin wax" on
both sides of the zipper to lubricate it. this is used for baking and
i dont even know what else. i think bar soap might also work and
there may be such a thing as zipper lube. thought they had it for
tent zippers. then i tightened the zipper pull with channel lock
pliers.start with the pull at the beginning (window open) then put
one jaw of pliers inside window and one outside, and clamp on just
the back corner of the pull. (the part that closes the teeth) do both
rear corners and not to tight or it will be hard to pull.on one that
was real bad i also pinched the outside rear corners together to help
it pull teeth to mesh. like you said hard to explain but hope this
works for you. if you need better explanation email me......byron

OK, here is the skinny on these misters. The reservoir

separately or use your own. Any 12V DC one will do. I
have one that shuts off automatically, but it is not

$19.00 and the automatic shut-off variety is $40.

United Four Wheel Drive Associations is an international organization
comprised of four wheel drive enthusiasts, clubs, associations, and
businesses dedicated to providing community services around the
world, education in responsible land use and safe vehicle operation,
and protection of our natural resources through conservation
practices.

Fred

The other consideration is that the regulator will probably put out less
than 80 psi. The 125psi I had purchased from Vern Lewis only put out 112
psi max and gradually decreased the colder it got.

I run a 150 psi unit from Williams balloon and it puts out about 125 at the
outlet side when not frozen. I forget the exact figure but it is something
like 20% pressure drop at the outlet from the rated regulator pressure.

Subject: Clock doesnt work when lights are on .. Radio doesnt work at all
Ok guys here is the deal... I have an aiwa cdplayer installed in
my '91 XJ. I have had it in for almost a year now with no problems.
The other day I was driving to a family member's house and I had
turned the lights on and I played with the dashlight dimmer a little
bit. No problems until I am on my way home (i have the headlights
on) and I notice the dashboard clock go off and the radio goes off
and comes back on, and then goes off again and stays off. I haven't
been able to get the radio to come back on... but it will take a cd
and eject it (which it has always done even when the car is turned
off with the key off) this suggest that it must be getting power but
it for somereason won't come on. THe dash clock works unles the
headlights are on.. and i havent driven at night so i am not sure if
the instrument panel lights come on or not. Any Ideas? my dad said
it might have been something to do with the dimmer but I don't know
where it is or if it is built into the headlight switch. PLEASE
HELP... I HAVE NO MUSIC... THANX ALOT =Bill

Sounds like you lost a ground in the vicinity of your CD and clock. At
least, that is what I would be looking for first.

Subject: Need someone's help!!
Hello everyone. So I have this problem with my Jeep, nothing to serious, but I would
like to know if anyone can help me with it.
So anyone who can help
me out, please email me!

Subject: Soft Top Repair ?
I have a 2000 TJ and my back windown on the soft top is a little injured. The zipper
does not zip (i dn't know the exact terminology on this..so bare with me). The zipper
goes up across and down to put the back window on, but the actual clamps don't
connect. The zipper just goes around and its still not zipped up. So does anyone
know of any good zipper repair places or am I even asking the right question? Do i
just need a new backwindow? Thanks!

Jim

Finally after tons of cuttin’, grindin’, and Weldin’, I got the new
suspension installed. The pics are in the Members Gallery under Weiss,
Kristi.
I installed a RockKrawler 8” long arm coil-over along w/a Ford 8.8, D44,
Dutchman Shafts (6on5.5); 4.88’s; X-over Steer w/ ¾” heims and 1.5”
solid rods; Power steering – A lot to do by ones self!!!
I’ll finish up with an AA SYE and t-case e-brake with Tom Woods DS this
week along with finishing the Power steer change over, re-drill the
Ford Rotors and build the new exhaust system….then maybe I’ll finish
that rear bumper….and the quest goes on…………..

HELLO,
i had the same problem, back and side windows. you zip it and the
teeth do not grab, so the zipper separates when it should be closed.
i was able to get all mine to work again. i rubbed "parafin wax" on
both sides of the zipper to lubricate it. this is used for baking and
i dont even know what else. i think bar soap might also work and
there may be such a thing as zipper lube. thought they had it for
tent zippers. then i tightened the zipper pull with channel lock
pliers.start with the pull at the beginning (window open) then put
one jaw of pliers inside window and one outside, and clamp on just
the back corner of the pull. (the part that closes the teeth) do both
rear corners and not to tight or it will be hard to pull.on one that
was real bad i also pinched the outside rear corners together to help
it pull teeth to mesh. like you said hard to explain but hope this
works for you. if you need better explanation email me......byron
