If you need that yoke apapter right away, I have one you can use now. When
you get yours in just bring it over. I'm not going to be doing my 8.8 for a

I'm planning on regearing my '97 TJ (BRUZR) for 33" tires and a 4
banger sometime soon. Is 4.56 enough? I was told that I would need a
new carrier and a complete install kit. I know absolutely nothing
about all of this, but was planning on regearing and locking the
front and rear all in one fell swoop. also, how would I find out what
speedo gear I need to change to when I do all of this? I was told on
that, the computer uses some of the speedo readings for automatic
adjustment. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Subject: RE: York 'rebuild' done
Actually, the main restriction would be on the inlet
side of the equation, because once you create 100%
vacuum at the inlet... that's as far as you can take
it, no matter how fast you spin the pump. You cant
increase the atmospheric pressure to force more air in
the inlet. The max you're going to get is 14.7 psi at
sea level.
Now, on the discharge side, if you increase the
pressure.. the flow will increase, as does the
velocity through a given orifice. The limiting factor
here becomes your pump, the discharge is limited by
what you can pull in the inlet... which is effected by
temp., air density, humidity, and atmospheric
pressure, but these are probably insignifigant for our
disscusion here...

Can you send this to the AZVJC group please?
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I have a Chebby 350 small block that is up for trade for a 4.0 HO motor with cap and wires, and fuel injection system (includes TB)
Doing custom stroker with a massive turbo and have to have pistons made for $800. It has been down for almost a year and I want to drive it again.
Not giving up on project, just tired of getting screwed for a ride when the wife wants her truck on work days.
Motor runs, but needs timed. As well as plucked from current home (I'll do that). Bought an old Chebby with SM465, and a lot of drive train swapping going on, and the motor is coming out anyway. A second 350 block is available, that has a knocking rod. Bolt main (2/4) UK for both. Both have 4brl intake, one carb.

Subject: Changing gears someday soon...Need the info.
I'm planning on regearing my '97 TJ (BRUZR) for 33" tires and a 4
banger sometime soon. Is 4.56 enough? I was told that I would need a
new carrier and a complete install kit. I know absolutely nothing
about all of this, but was planning on regearing and locking the
front and rear all in one fell swoop. also, how would I find out what
speedo gear I need to change to when I do all of this? I was told on
that, the computer uses some of the speedo readings for automatic
adjustment. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Subject: RE: York 'rebuild' done
Actually, the main restriction would be on the inlet
side of the equation, because once you create 100%
vacuum at the inlet... that's as far as you can take
it, no matter how fast you spin the pump. You cant
increase the atmospheric pressure to force more air in
the inlet. The max you're going to get is 14.7 psi at
sea level.
Now, on the discharge side, if you increase the
pressure.. the flow will increase, as does the
velocity through a given orifice. The limiting factor
here becomes your pump, the discharge is limited by
what you can pull in the inlet... which is effected by
temp., air density, humidity, and atmospheric
pressure, but these are probably insignifigant for our
disscusion here...

Take a look at these shots. They were sent to me from a friend at work.
He got them from his friend in Canada who came up on this situation. He
said the owner of the Jeep just did not care, understatement. He should
have his head checked.

That's got to be one of the stupidest extraction attempts I've seen.

Not me my cousin and his son bought 3 of them. That was at a Sam's Club
in Porterville,Ca. Not sure if the sale is going on here or not, I
don't have a Sam's card. But it's worth checking out. I already have all
the cb's I need so wasn't real interested till I saw the discussion when
I got home.
