From the looks of the girl standing next to the Jeep, will we have to
rent it in the "Adults Only" section of the video store?

Yes. Do you have ABS? If so, make sure the axles you're getting
have the gear installed at the flange for the speed sensor.

Subject: RE: Directions to Tin Can Alley

Mile Marker 11 on State Route 74 (about 8 miles west of the Castle Hot
Springs Road/SR74 intersection) by Lake Pleasant gets you to within a
few miles of the trail head. At MM11, air down and head north on the
gravel road. The trail is one of several possible right hand turn offs a
couple of miles down the road.

Tin Can Alley can not be described here, as it exists within a network
of interconnected trails that criss-cross the foothills in that area.
Either a photographic memory or a GPS track is about the only two
methods I know of to successfully navigate it. You can drive all around
the area but since there are no signs indicating this trail, you will be
a hit and miss situation if you are actually on it.

If you use OziExplorer GPS mapping software, I can send you a data track
for the trail network in that area and an OziExplorer waypoint file for
the trail itself.

Subject: South End of Whitetanks Sand Hills

As a newbie, I got my first look at this area today, and was absolutely
appalled. I could not believe the amount of debris that I had to dodge
while navigating the surroundings, much of it potentially destructive to
tires or worse. Has there ever been a cleanup in this area? I realize that
it is not a cheap or easy proposition to get a dumpster dropped whenever you
want, but I would think that a group of people with some trash bags and a
couple pickup trucks could make a significant improvement in areas like
these, especially if it is an area used for teaching new folks the ropes.
Thoughts?

The AZVJC conducting their own "clean-up" definitely cannot hurt our
image......... should say....... "the 4x4 image". It is doubtful to find
any money to obtain a dumpster from the Land Dept. but since some of the
land is BLM I'll check it out with Phoenix BLM and see what we can
get........ if anything.

If everyone chipped in a box of bags....... (THAT I think I can get from
ASLD) we could definitely make a dent in the area by hauling out what we
can.

Let me know and I'll follow through and see what we can get from the
agencies. Sandee

I'll do it... after all , I suggested it. How much lead time would be
required for any participants? I'd like to bang this thing out before it
gets too damn hot. Sunday morning April 27th looks appealing to me...
