White with grey top, both hard top and soft top, 5 speed manual

thats it.

Needs a splash of color on it though, hmmmm, what should I put on

Linda,
Apparently that was the problem. It ran OK yesterday and the wife
took it to work today and reported it ran better than ever! (I'm a
hero!) :o)
I did call the dealer, spoke to the Service Manager. He said that he
would pull the invoice and check into it and call me back this
afternoon (4/07) Needless to say he didn't call. Tomorrow I will
call the General Manager. Now this is getting interesting <evil grin>
No names yet . . .but stay tuned!

Anyone interested in carpooling to Prescott next Saturday morning
for the 2nd round BLM meeting? I'd be willing to drive what our
kids call the "group home van" (room for eight, two dogs, and your
lunch).

I know that Rick, Randy, and Jim F. previously attended in Prescott
but caught the 2nd meeting in Phoenix last week. Scott, Russell,
Nicole will you be attending? Stu and I have tentatively agreed to
ride together. Meet at my house; 35th Ave & Glendale, Phoenix,
Saturday morning at 8 a.m. (7:30 if we want to stop in Prescott for
breakfast?).

Let me know if you're interested.

Depends how attached you are to your fenders. With no trimming, the
largest you can get under a 4.5" lift is a 31 or 32".

In order to prove that the vibration problems I'm having are from the
angle on the rear driveshaft (I recently installed a lift) I removed
the rear driveshaft this weekend and drove it in 4H thus making it a
FWD. As I expected all abnormal vibrations were gone; however, it
behaved very strangely and the front wanted to really pull to the
side. I expected it to drive normally just as any front-wheel drive
vehicle but it didn't. I only drove it down the street and back so I
didn't experiment with the problem in detail. Is this normal or
should it drive normally under these conditions? I need to remove
the driveshaft again this week and drive it to the driveshaft shop
and I'm sure it will be fine if I drive slow and take the curves
carefully but I'm just curious what the problem could be. Any
ideas? It's a 2001 TJ with a Dana 35 rear and D30 front with a 5-spd

John,

That would be torque steer due to the different length axle shafts. Older
front wheel drive cars from the 80's were notorious for torque steer.
Remember the Chrysler K cars, Horizons, and the Ford Escort? Those cars had
a noticeable pull when shifted quickly. More modern front wheel drive cars
have counter shafts or equal length shafts to combat this. My late model
Accord exhibits none of these traits.

Subject: PLEASE HELP MY JEEP!!

On my way to work this morning all of a sudden there was thumping sound and I couldnt move any more. It appears my D35 rear blew out. I had to put it in 4wd and for about 10mph for about a quarter mile to get to work.

Can anybody help me with a spare and help me put it in?? I cant even get home this afternoon and I dont have the money right now to pay the dealer to put a new one in... I can tell anything about the problem by looking. But if I was to guess the gears inside broke off. It jumps when im moving.

Please Help me.... :(

If ANYONE can help please email me or call me on my Cell at 602-348-6457 or my Direst line at work at 480-481-7752

Right now im at 60th st and Thomas. Butif anyone can help I can have it towed some where.

Thanks in advance,
Kyle
