That's interesting because some of us have wheeled with a guy from
California that is running them on his daily driver TJ.

Completely wrong Joe. Look at the Kingpins and the steering. That is a passenger side low pinion front with spingover perches. Not sure if it is a 44 pr 60 though.

The one that is taken apart has to be a 60. The more I compare the assembled one to mine the more I think it is a 60 also. The casting on the pig is exactly the same as my 60.

Can't this guy get you the bill of materials # off the axle(s)?

FWIW I don't think you would be hurt if you bid on these. Even if the complete one turned out to be a 44, it is a kingpin 44. The money you would save on the purchase would be enough to get you a set of Warn Alloys and a set of CTM ujoints. Unless your plan is to run larger than 38 " tires you would be in great shaped.

I say go with the softtop unless you either plan to move to a colder
climate one day or if you do a lot of highway travel or if you have
no interest in driving with the Jeep topless. The softtop is pretty
noisy on the highway. I also personally think the hard top looks
better than the soft top. However, I think Jeeps looks the best with
the top off and that's how mine is most of the time. I tend to only
use a bikini top (only covers from two seats) maybe 9 months out of
the year. You live in a place where its practical to go topless most
of the year and if that's what you like then the soft top is the best
choice. Like others have said the hard top is a pain to store and
take on and off. I've had no problem with the soft top leaking or
anything either. The only down side to the soft top is the road
noise above 60mph.

our Rubicon so that she could fill me in on the AM activities. She
did not want to give up the wheel to me though!! We both had a great
time and are looking forward to more runs with the club. Plus a lift

Thanks to Joey also for the great run after training.

The info here says they are DOT legal and for use up to 75 MPH,
although on-road use will result in rapid wear.

Hello All,

Brad Rogers is leading a Sunflower Mine Loop trail run on Saturday, April 5, 2003.

When: 8:00am Meet at last gas station on Hwy. 87 heading towards Payson; across from Casino (just past Fountain Hills)
Where: SunFlower Mine Loop
Rating: 3.5-
Length: Most of the day
CB Channel: 4

We had such a good trip the first time I just thought it would be fun to take a group up. Great adventure trip where you can try out your rock gaurds as well as your camera skills. If the creek is flowing your in for a wet ride, as well as some mine discovery. I believe we checked out 6 mines that were at least 100 yds long each, so bring a spot light because a flash light just doesn't cut it. Also bring some sandwiches because the trip can take a while if your into the mine thing.

The Sunflower Mine Loop is a fun trail that offers a little something for everyone. It takes 3 4 hours to complete allowing for time to poke around and explore. The loop starts as an easy 2.5 trail that winds along a hillside and slowly descends into the canyon. After crossing a bridge you continue up the canyon until you arrive at the Sunflower Mine site. The mines processing building is still standing and is in decent shape. Stock vehicles can make this section of the loop easily, however the next section requires higher ground clearance and aggressive tires.

After leaving the mine the trails continues up a shady canyon becoming more tight and challenging as it runs across and up a rocky creek bed. The bed is usually dry but can be very slippery when water is running. After awhile you make a hard right turn up a steep rock wall obstacle and continue to climb a loose rocky road out of the canyon and into the pines and junipers. At the top the trail continues with some washed out sections, passes a couple of more mine shafts, and gradually becomes easier as you return to the loops starting point.

Remember to pack water, a lunch, and bring your camera.

Enjoy and remember to TREAD Lightly!

Right now for suspension I have a set of 4 inch lift springs sut up as spring over. Once I get every thing back together I am going to go see hunter for a coil over and a cage.

I should be able to get it back together before summer is over and I will post some picture soon

Anyone have an opinion on this? My buddy's radiator was getting a little old and cruddy. Well, the car would overheat every now and then. We assumed that the thermo was sticking. Well, he took the think to Hawkes Radiator and they put a new radiator and thermo in there. Now it overheats! If you sit there and idle the temp keep climbing. Anyone reason why this would be? The temp stayed pretty steady at 210 before, why would it get worse with the new radiator?

I think Rick Beer can get the 40's now, but at $475 each. We discussed them
the last time I saw him (in Febuary).

I was at the Discount Tire Co. in Chandler and was looking at the
computer monitor with the salesman and the 37x12.50x17s were shown at
$475.00. He did not show the 35x12.50x15s or 40x??x??s (don't know if
they have these available yet), but for sure the 37s were that price.

Whoops. I see you were comparing the 40" MTRs (not 40" BFGs) to the
price of the 37" BFG Krawlers.

Was the system "burped" after installing the new parts?? I always let mine run with the radiator cap off until all the air is burped out through radiator. Air in the system can cause overheating.

Also, is the aux fan coming on?? It should come on when the temp hits around 215, or when the A/C is on. Maybe when the radiator was installed, the fan wasn't hooked back up. Just an idea.

Good Luck

Anyone have an opinion on this? My buddy's radiator was getting a little old and cruddy. Well, the car would overheat every now and then. We assumed that the thermo was sticking. Well, he took the think to Hawkes Radiator and they put a new radiator and thermo in there. Now it overheats! If you sit there and idle the temp keep climbing. Anyone reason why this would be? The temp stayed pretty steady at 210 before, why would it get worse with the new radiator?
Thanks in advance.

I'm looking for a drivers side Dana 30 knuckle. This is the 1 piece newer style knuckle, not the older 2 piece knuckle. Any jeep XJ, YJ, TJ , ZJ, after 1991 should have the newer style knuckle.

I'd appreciate any help, as I've scoured the junkyards to no avail.

Thanks,

Maybe they did not do a good job of bleeding the air out of the system? I wonder if the thermostat can be installed backwards? (just kicking out ideas here)
