Subject: Anyone have an Engine stand I can buy or borrow?
Doing a motor swap, and was looking to buy or borrow an engine stand from someone. Im working on a budget, and know that some people on the list have bought engine stands for their one time projects, and its taking up space now. If anyone needs to get one off his or her hands please let me know! Thanks all!

OK Jim....thanks for the update.
With the greens now coming to the meetings, it is even more important
than ever that we have a good showing of OHV folks at these meetings.
Another way to look at it....less than a year ago, that golf course was
NOT on the south side of I-10 near Watson Road. If you don't get
serious about our land use issues, we won't be doing our 4WD clinic next
year because there will be houses where we were wheelin' today. Based
on today's turn out, I am think none of us want to lose the White Tanks
4 wheelin' area.
I hope everyone can find just a few hours and attend one of the upcoming
week. It is really important that you do. Details are on the web site.
Thanks one and all!

Stu just to let you know that Rick, Randy and myself were at the
Deer
Valley Meeting we will not be going to the Prescott meeting. Warning it
seems that this process has now got the Greenies attending we need to
show
numbers at these meetings. Jim F.

Roger,
Thanks for sharing the information. I was not sure what was going to
happen at the 2nd group of meetings....now I know. Sorry to hear that
attendance was down...that was not good....especially if SC is now
showing up. :(
I'll be attending the Prescott meeting on Saturday, 4/12. I hope that
Nicole and Bruce (we car pooled last time) will be able to attend as
well as the Jim, Randy, Rick, Scott, etc.

Subject: [az_vjc] Last night's BLM meeting - round 2
Last night's BLM meeting was the second part of the 2-part workshop held
at the Phoenix location. The Black Canyon City location had their
second
part the night before.
The meeting went as follows. Following a brief introduction, the entire
group
participated in a discussion in which the suggestions from the previous
meeting
were clarified. Basically, the BLM needs to know how to interpret the
suggestions
that were made because the wording used to capture the original
suggestions wasn't
always clear. It seems the BLM decided to make the public provide the
clarifications
rather than make assumptions on their own. This is good but only if the
right people
are there to defend their suggestions.
The original suggestions have been documented and this documentation is
handed
out at the meeting. The suggestions have been organized into specific
categories that
partially map to the subjects for which the table discussions were held
at the previous
meeting. The "roads and trails" suggestions from the original meeting
seems to have
been dispersed into other categories - mostly the "recreation and
access" category.
Anyone considering attending any of the remaining meetings, please do
so! These
are important meetings to attend as they help ensure our suggestions are
interpretted
correctly. It's also a chance to add suggestions that had been made
during the previous
meetings but which were omitted from the documentation (and there were
some).
Attendance at last night's meeting we lower than for the previous
meeting at the Phoenix
location. OHV attandance was also lower. And there were some people in
attendance
that weren't at the first meeting (including some annoying SC folks).
We need to have
OHV folks in attendance!

Subject: My Driveshaft fell out AGAIN!!!!!!!!
Ok, I figured it out. My yoke on the rear axle is shot causing me to throw 3 shafts in 1 week. Does anybody know if I could put the yoke from the front on my rear diff because Ive got an extra for the front? If not does anybody have an extra one for the rear that I could get a hold of? Im also in need of another driveshaft again, too. Id like to get this working in time to play around on the ramp at Franks BBQ tomorrow. Any help would be appreciated. If anybody going to the BBQ has anything that would be of help and could bring it there I could put it in at his house. Ive already got all the tools in the back of the Jeep so I can get the work done anywhere. Also, the grade 8 bolts I put in my rear springs broke again. Maybe I just suck at working on my rig, so Ill get help from the guys tomorrow on what I should do. Thanx again

I am glad I did not miss this training today. Great trainers, instructors
and awesome drivers. I met more new faces today as I did on Broken
Arrow...yikes!!!
It was really good to see the women ruling in the caravan from the east
siiiiide. Nice meeting you Tereasa and the other ladies. Nicole,I can not
believe I missed seeing you, AGAIN...
I appreciate the trainers that instructed me on what to do and what not to
do....especially not doing the rock climb. After riding with Nasser, I will
never look at another rock the same....LOL...just kidding. Thanks Masser
for letting me enjoy that experience.
A BIG thank you to all and see you on the trails.
I like the wording onsomeones Jeep...it said, " Silly Boys, Jeeps are for
Girls". RightOn!!!
Stu it was a pleasure meeting you and Hackle aka (Jim).
See ya on the trails...

Hello All,
Brad Rogers is leading a Sunflower Mine Loop trail run on Saturday, April 5, 2003.
When: 8:00am Meet at last gas station on Hwy. 87 heading towards Payson; across from Casino (just past Fountain Hills)
Where: SunFlower Mine Loop
Rating: 3.5-
Length: Most of the day
CB Channel: 4
We had such a good trip the first time I just thought it would be fun to take a group up. Great adventure trip where you can try out your rock gaurds as well as your camera skills. If the creek is flowing your in for a wet ride, as well as some mine discovery. I believe we checked out 6 mines that were at least 100 yds long each, so bring a spot light because a flash light just doesn't cut it. Also bring some sandwiches because the trip can take a while if your into the mine thing.
The Sunflower Mine Loop is a fun trail that offers a little something for everyone. It takes 3 4 hours to complete allowing for time to poke around and explore. The loop starts as an easy 2.5 trail that winds along a hillside and slowly descends into the canyon. After crossing a bridge you continue up the canyon until you arrive at the Sunflower Mine site. The mines processing building is still standing and is in decent shape. Stock vehicles can make this section of the loop easily, however the next section requires higher ground clearance and aggressive tires.
After leaving the mine the trails continues up a shady canyon becoming more tight and challenging as it runs across and up a rocky creek bed. The bed is usually dry but can be very slippery when water is running. After awhile you make a hard right turn up a steep rock wall obstacle and continue to climb a loose rocky road out of the canyon and into the pines and junipers. At the top the trail continues with some washed out sections, passes a couple of more mine shafts, and gradually becomes easier as you return to the loops starting point.
Remember to pack water, a lunch, and bring your camera.
Enjoy and remember to TREAD Lightly!

1. I love this jeep club! The instructors were very knowledgeable and patient.
2. No matter how much I like my jeep.... I like Sharky's more! I don't think there is anywhere that thing won't go! Thanks for letting me play in it today Sharky... you're the best!! (First time crawling rocks wooo hooo!!) Rick, you are a GREAT instructor!
3. I now know a few things NOT to do with a Hi Lift jack (thanks John K.)
4. Bonnie is a really cool "jeep chick"! It's kinda nice to not be the only girl driver!!
(it was nice to finally meet Nichole and Darnella too!)
Anyway....thanks to everyone for a great day! I'm sure it was a lot of work to put together, but I'm really glad you did it!

Thanx again

Subject: Training Class Thanks
I had a blast...as usual!!!

I need a set of D35 side gears, spider gears and washers (basically
what would be left after installing a locker). If anyone has any
laying around they want to get rid of for cheap or next to nothing,
drop me a line.
Thanks,

Brad,
Thanks for leading this great run today. I had a blast. It was great as always to meet new people in this club.
Too bad I was the only one with springs, but you have to have one token in every group. J
Thanks to all.
I will post my few pictures tomorrow. I look forward to seeing everyones pictures.

Subject: [az_vjc] [TR] Sunflower Mine Loop - Saturday, April 5, 2003 - Reminder
Hello All,
Brad Rogers is leading a Sunflower Mine Loop trail run on Saturday, April 5, 2003.
