COURSE DESCRIPTION: J.E.E.P. is hosting an ASHI certified Wilderness First Aid and CPR Course. Wilderness First Aid and CPR is the recommended minimum level of training for Search And Rescue Team members in Arizona. Wilderness First Aid is targeted toward Search And Rescue members and others who may find themselves beyond the urban emergency medical services system where there are extended patient contact times and the need to provide care with limited or improvised equipment. The training is practical, hands on, and focuses on managing scenarios with the equipment typically carried in the field.

Please contact the coordinator to register or for additional information. The registration fee is requested in advance to order the textbooks and supplies.

FIRST AID KITS: First Aid kits including all of the items used in the Wilderness First Aid class are for sale to class members for $30.00. This is less than
half of the retail price for these supplies. This does not include a case. Provide your own fanny pack, bag, or case, as you prefer. Order your First Aid supplies at the time of registration so we can order the supplies.

Out of curiosity, since this includes CPR does that mean that we'll be CPR certified after the class? Or is something else involved with that? Since having kids I've been putting off getting certified and this sounds like the perfect opportunity.

Im afraid im going to have cancel the spots reserved for my son and i.

I have some family issues that are preventing me from really doing anything for the next month.

I would still like to set up a kids session.....but it looks like that will have to be closer to december.....

What does ASHI stand for? Somehow I don't think it is the American Society of Home Inspectors in this case.

I agree. Well worth the time and the drive from Tucson. Although Kelly & I sure hope we never have to use any of what we learned!

Thanks Dallas & Tony and Tony's daughters for teaching. Thanks Jayson for the facility. And thanks Cold Stone Creamery for too many calories.
