I agree completely with Stu do not worry that you have every fact straight
as I miss many times also. I can tell you that most of us will know more
about the OHV fund then the State Senators and Reps we write to. This makes
it very easy to just say ok cut that out of the budget. We need to let them
know that we are watching and they will be held accountable.
Thanks to all that have followed through and written letters please keep
them coming. We can make a difference this way. Jim F.

Dave,
Don't worry about making a mistake in your letter....I know I do it more
times than not. It happens because so many of us don't have all the
small details and so while trying the best we can and for all the right
reasons, we don't always hit the nail square on the head. But....the
fact that the folks at the ASLD are getting mail from you and me and
other OHV folks sends them a clear message that WE want THEM to help
figure out a way to keep Tammy helping the folks here in our state. She
does a job for the OHV community and I for one can't begin to thank her
enough. I would hate to lose her!

I stand corrected. In any case, it is critical that this program be
funded,
by whatever means necessary. It is truly to ASLD and all of Arizona's
benefit.

Why do you have it apart (why are you messing with the backlash)? It

When did this happen, a ramp would not be the easiest thing to hide and

Hi Gang,

If anyone is interested in going in with me to help John at Hunter
Offroad
replace his RTI Ramp which was stolen... please contact me directly.
John
has been a great supporter of this group and I cannot stand to see him
ripped off by some low-life... I certainly hope that it was not someone
from
this group.

I'll be cutting John a check when I get back to help him replace his
Ramp...
if you feel like pitching in... let me know.

And John... you don't have a say in this matter...

Subject: [TR] Terminator (Upper) - Saturday, March 29, 2003

Hello All,

Joe Bornkessel is leading a Terminator (Upper) trail run on Saturday, March 29, 2003.

When: Meet @ 9:00 a.m.
Where: Meet at parking lot on west side of Table Mesa Rd.
Rating: 4.0+
Length: 3-4 hrs
CB Channel: 4

Sorry for the late post, just found out I don't need to work Sat. Have not run this trail before, so if someone elso would like to lead, then by all means.

Upper Terminator can best be described as:
Rocks, waterfalls, off-camber spots and more rocks! Big Rocks.

Whereas there are several by-passes, even the by-passes have taken it's toll on sheet medal and paint.

This trail definitely requires full hard lockers in front and rear, lots of clearance, aggressive tires 33" or larger and an experienced driver.

Enjoy and remember to TREAD Lightly!

I would be willing to build it at my house so John doesn't have to
take his time doing it...

Subject: Metal shop in North West Valley?

I need a bunch of small pieces, but the places I talked to require 10
foot minimums. Needless to say don't need that much. Anyone know of
a good metal or fab shop where I can get some stuff?

I need:

2 - 3" long sections of 1/4", 3" x 2" angle iron
2 - 2.5" long 1.5" ID dom tubes
2 - 2.5" x .5" 3/16" (or 1/4") thick iron
8 - 2" x 3" 1/4" thick triangles (can cut them myself, just need the
iron)
4 - 6" x 6" 1/2 thick plate
2 - 1/4" thick 6" long 2" wide
4 - bolts to use as shock studs.

Anyone able to help feel free to drop me an e-mail :).

Subject: Steering??

Hello Gang,
Well, I found the problem on the steering issue. It is the steering rod from the steering box to the point of hook up at the firewall. The dampener piece (rubber) at the firewall end is turning inside the collar. Now, my question is: Is there a repair kit for this, or is it a dealer/ junkyard item. Or, is there anyone out there that has a used one for sale????????????
Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.......

Thanks,
Casper

Might try Glendale Steel Saturday. They have a large dumpster/bin in
front you can pick through that has a bunch of scraps. Might be free.

How cool, I live in Chandler. I wouldn't mind meeting depending on where you are. I live near Alma and Chandler Blvd.

Anyone, plan on sporting flying flags? I do not want to be the odd ball.

We are planning on leaving the east valley about 6:45, to go by I-17 & Bell about 7:30 and hopefully fall in line with your jeepavan (?) at your departure point or along the breezeway somewhere...... If anyone from the east valley wants to meet anywhere, just post here or be on channel 4, CB..... Bob J
