I think this should be a planned run. lets say two weeks from today. we
should also try to get in contact with the high school girl that's been

the
stuff, and it's pretty expensive. maybe we could take the stuff for her

It says "items sent in bulk from the manufacturer". I read this to mean
items by the case drop shipped from the manufacturer. Am I wrong?

Subject: [az_vjc] "Support Our Troops" donations
Hey all,
Our "Support Our Troops" run this weekend will start at Fiesta Mall
parking
lot close to Sears at 12 noon. We will pretty much do the same thing as
last
weekend. After the "run" to support our troops we will be having a
donation
area set up at Fiesta Mall at 5 PM Saturday close to Sears area. Kat
(last
name? sorry LOL) and myself will be collecting and getting these items
to
USO in California to be shipped overseas to our Troops. The following
applies to everything donated: Everything MUST be in original
manufacturing
packaging. The next weekend after that Saturday 4-5-03 we will try and
get
local stores to donate in "Support Our Troops" that we will coordinate.
So
if you want to help out please let me know. Below is a list of items
that
can be donated.

Subject: RE: Clutch question
Point your Jeep down the center of a residential street where you can run
into absolutely NOTHING.
Pull on your emergency brake.
Put your Jeep in first gear.
With the emergency brake still on... (Lest you forget)
Idle to 1200 RPM.
Let the clutch out quickly.
Did the motor die?
Yes; the motor died: Your clutch is probably okay.
No; the motor didn't die: Your clutch is shot.
This test is not good for EVERY possible clutch problem... but is a good
rough estimate.
Clutches don't normally stop working instantly... you usually notice that
when you punch the gas, you don't accelerate like you once did (indicating
that the clutch is either worn out or is slipping).
Kind Regards,
Joe West

Gary,
The huge Sedona Broken Arrow run is this Sunday and so far the count
is up to 64! This should be a blast although obviously quite crowded
and this is a short run rated at only 2.5 but should give you a feel
for the new lift. I too just did a lift (3.5") and upgraded to 33"
tires. I'm hoping to maybe install a Powertrax No-slip locker on the
rear this Sat and test that out as well. Anyways, there's lots of
info about this run on the website under the 'trips' section.
Hope to see you there.

Subject: New steering and track bar :-)
Here are some pictures of the new Currie HD steering and RE adjustable track bar that I just installed. I want to thank Stu Olson and Joe West for the good advice. The info on Stu's web site was especially helpful. The front axle is well centered now and the Curried steering components are super. The only problem was the interference of the tie rod end zerk fitting at the drag link with the steering all the way to the right as mentioned on Stu's web site. I did not have a flush mount fitting, so I modified an old zerk I had laying around to minimize the interference. The directions with the Currie components were pretty good (as opposed to non-existent as with Stu's). Also, the red tag did not exist. Instead, Currie pre-installed the tie rod end in the drag link.

I remember hearing about a girl collecting supplies, but don't remember where/what station and can't seem to find any info on it. Does anyone happen to remember where the story was on? I found a phone number for a local lady that recently made a run to a USO in CA with care packages for troops that I'll give a call tomorrow, but if we could find a way to help in other ways, that'd be great too.
Thanks! Sara and Scott F.

I wish I had seen this last weekend! So what is the route for
the "run"? I'll see if I can't make it as well. You guys should call
some news stations or at least KFYI about the whole thing.

Hey all,
Our "Support Our Troops" run this weekend will start at Fiesta Mall
parking
lot close to Sears at 12 noon.

Kind Regards,
Joe West

This may sound silly, but how do I know when I need a new clutch? Are
there any specific indicators that I should be aware of, or does it
just stop working one day?
Thanks in advance....

Gary,
The huge Sedona Broken Arrow run is this Sunday and so far the count
is up to 64!

Thanks! Sara and Scott F.

her family including the stuff we have as well. just a thought.
