Subject: Raided OHV Fund
I am writing in reference to the raided OHV fund, I am well aware of the budget
crisis that our state is experiencing. It is my understanding that the
money in the State OHV Fund have recently been redirected to other
areas and thus leaves the entire OHV community without funding for
enforcement, education, and grant opportunities, to name just a few.
Reports from last year's National Off Highway Vehicle Conference
indicated an OHV growth rate of some 30% per year. It is, without a
doubt, one of the fast growing sports in the southwest. With the State
Trails Inventory project well underway, it is essential that the OHV
fund monies be returned so that the inventory may be completed. This is
the first step in providing the necessary base line trail information
for the new resource management plans that are being developed to manage
our lands in Arizona. We are currently operating on plans that are well
over 10 years old. The OHV growth rate has made these plans obsolete.
We in the OHV community have struggled in past years and continue
to struggle in an attempt to provide educational material to new OHV users.
An educated OHV user helps prevent the misuse of our outdoor resources.
Cutting the funding for this will set this effort back years and could result in a backslide
that may never be recovered. The money to support OHV grants for such
things as interpretive signs and OHV parks will cease to exist.
Without the OHV Fund monies, the State Land Department will lose its OHV
Director. It has taken a long time to establish the current working
relationships that exist between the State Land Department and the OHV
community. This loss of staff, like in the education area, will
effectively negate all the work that has been done with the OHV
community to date.
These funds are put into place because there is a need for them, if they
can be taken away that easily without causing consequences they would
not have been created in first place.
As a resident of this state, neither you nor I can afford to let this
happen. The OHV community will recreate on public lands and they will
have fun. Without the money from the OHV Fund, the chances of the
public doing so in a controlled and responsible manner are decreased.
None of us can afford to let this happen.
Please reconsider your actions and allow the money from the OHV Fund to
be used in the manner for which it was conceived.
If taking this money causes monetary losses down the road, then it will defeat
the purpose of taking the money in the first place. Maybe the State needs to
budget money to educate themselves on working within the budget they currently
have and not put our state in this position in the first place.
Thank You

Subject: Death Wobble- XJ
First-- Appreciate any thoughts. I purchased this vehicle with a 4.5"
Tomkin lift, front coil spacers. Johnny Joint front axle lower arms.
3/24/03 dealing with serious Death Wobble over 60 mph. I first
experienced DW just after installing front sway bar Quick
Disconnects. They were unconnected at 30 mph on a dirt road.
Now have dynamic wheel balance, good castor/camber, new front
bearings, after mkt track bar (replaced frame end as was worn), new
Rancho steering stabilzer, no ball joint vertical motion, aligned
1/8" toe out as recommended for DW (Valley Spring), tight steering
box bolts.
Seem to have loose steering w/o vehicle weight load. That is, on a
trail, steering seems tight on smooth sections but loose when coming
off small bumps. The question in my mind is what could cause a
seemingly tight front end to get loose when it is traveling up and
down? Or I may be off base. Thanks for any thoughts.
Second-- True or False- it is OK to run Devil's Canyon alone. ;-)
Third-- I appreciate the land use meetings and because of this club
have responded to politicians to support trail use. I also belong to
American Sand Association and today only about 1/4 of the Imperial
Sand Dunes are available for recreation because of weed, beetle
protection and other misguided ideas. I would like to protect the
planet and enjoy it, too.

I've got the cover off, the boss pin out, c-clips removed and axles pulled out. Can't get the side gears out. I only have a Haynes manuel and it doesn't discuss this procedure. I need to get the carrier "emptied" to install a Powertrax No-Slip. Although I bought the No-Slip used it is made for the limited-slip carrier. Didn't come with intructions and all the intructions I can find on web sites seem to only address "open" carriers.

This is circulating around on our ships
For or against the war, you must read this. Know what you're talking about
before you open your mouth!
Worth a read.
Good morning from the Heartland Today's quote from the Left Coast
"George W Bush is like a bad comic working the crowd, a moron, if you'll
pardon the expression."
Martin Sheen
Instead of making a 'smartass' comment on the above quote, I ask you to take
5 minutes and read the following article:
Who's Smarter? by Cindy Osborne
The Hollywood group is at it again. Holding anti-war rallies, screaming
about the Bush Administration, running ads in major newspapers, defaming the
President and his Cabinet every chance they get, to anyone and everyone who
will listen. They publicly defile them and call them names like "stupid" ,
"morons", and "idiots". Jessica Lange went so far as to tell a crowd in
Spain that she hates President Bush and is embarrassed to be an American.
So, just how ignorant are these people who are running the country? Let's
look at the biographies of these "stupid", "ignorant" , "moronic" leaders,
and then at the celebrities who are castigating them: President George W.
Bush: Received a Bachelors Degree from Yale University and an MBA from
Harvard Business School. He served as an F-102 pilot for the Texas Air
National Guard. He began his career in the oil and gas business in Midland
in 1975 and worked in the energy industry until 1986. He was elected
Governor on November 8, 1994, with 53.5 percent of the vote. In a historic
re-election victory, he became the first Texas Governor to be elected to
consecutive four-year terms on November 3, 1998 winning 68.6 percent of the
vote. In 1998 Governor Bush won 49 percent of the Hispanic vote, 27 percent
of the African-American vote, 27 percent of Democrats and 65 percent of
women. He won more Texas counties, 240 of 254, than any modern Republican
other than Richard Nixon in 1972 and is the first Republican gubernatorial
candidate to win the heavily Hispanic and Democratic border counties of El
Paso, Cameron and Hidalgo. (Someone began circulating a false story about
his I.Q. being lower than any other President. If you believed it, you
might want to go to URBANLEGENDS.COM and see the truth.
Vice President Dick Cheney: Earned a B.A. in 1965 and a M.A. in 1966, both
in political science. Two years later, he won an American Political Science
Association congressional fellowship. One of Vice President Cheney's primary
duties is to share with individuals, members of Congress and foreign
leaders, President Bush's vision to strengthen our economy, secure our
homeland and win the War on Terrorism. In his official role as President of
the Senate, Vice President Cheney regularly goes to Capitol Hill to meet
with Senators and members of the House of Representatives to work on the
Administration's legislative goals. In his travels as Vice President, he has
seen first hand the great demands the war on terrorism is placing on the men
and women of our military, and he is proud of the tremendous job they are
doing for the United States of America.
Secretary of State Colin Powell: Educated in the New York City public
schools, graduating from the City College of New York (CCNY), where he
earned a Bachelor's Degree in geology. He also participated in ROTC at CCNY
and received a commission as an Army second lieutenant upon graduation in
June 1958. His further academic achievements include a Master of Business
Administration Degree from George Washington University. Secretary Powell is
the recipient of numerous U.S. and foreign military awards and decorations.
Secretary Powell's civilian awards include two Presidential Medals of
Freedom, the President's Citizens Medal, the Congressional Gold Medal, the
Secretary of State Distinguished Service Medal, and the Secretary of Energy
Distinguished Service Medal. Several schools and other institutions have
been named in his honor and he holds honorary degrees from universities and
colleges across the country. (Note: He retired as Four Star General in the
United States Army)
Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld: Attended Princeton University on
Scholarship (AB, 1954) and served in the U.S. Navy (1954-57) as a Naval
aviator; Congressional Assistant to Rep. Robert Griffin (R-MI), 1957-59;
U.S. Representative, Illinois, 1962-69; Assistant to the President, Director
of the Office of Economic Opportunity, Director of the Cost of Living
Council, 1969-74; U.S. Ambassador to NATO, 1973-74; head of Presidential
Transition Team, 1974; Assistant to the President, Director of White House
Office of Operations, White House Chief of Staff, 1974-77; Secretary of
Defense, 1975-77.
Secretary of Homeland Security Tom Ridge: Raised in a working class family
in veterans' public housing in Erie. He earned a scholarship to Harvard,
graduating with honors in 1967. After his first year at The Dickinson School
of Law, he was drafted into the U.S. Army, where he served as an infantry
staff sergeant in Vietnam, earning the Bronze Star for Valor. After
returning to Pennsylvania, he earned his Law Degree and was in private
practice before becoming Assistant District Attorney in Erie County. He was
elected to Congress in 1982. He was the first enlisted Vietnam combat
veteran elected to the U.S. House, and was overwhelmingly reelected six
times.
National Security Advisor Condoleezza Rice: Earned her Bachelor's Degree in
Political Science, Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa, from the University of
Denver in 1974; her Master's from the University of Notre Dame in
1975; and her Ph.D. from the Graduate School of International Studies at the
University of Denver in 1981. (Note: Rice enrolled at the University of
Denver at the age of 15, graduating at 19 with a Bachelor's Degree in
Political Science (Cum Laude). She earned a Master's Degree at the
University of Notre Dame and a Doctorate from the University of Denver's
Graduate School of International Studies. Both of her advanced degrees are
also in Political Science.) She is a Fellow of the American Academy of
Arts and Sciences and has been awarded Honorary Doctorates from Morehouse
College in 1991, the University of Alabama in 1994, and the University of
Notre Dame in 1995. At Stanford, she has been a member of the Center for
International Security and Arms Control, a Senior Fellow of the Institute
for International Studies, and a Fellow (by courtesy) of the Hoover
Institution. Her books include Germany Unified and Europe Transformed (1995)
with Philip Zelikow, The Gorbachev Era
(1986) with Alexander Dallin, and Uncertain Allegiance: The Soviet Union and
the Czechoslovak Army (1984). She also has written numerous articles on
Soviet and East European foreign and defense policy, and has addressed
audiences in settings ranging from the U.S. Ambassador's Residence in Moscow
to the Commonwealth Club to the 1992 and 2000 Republican National
Conventions. From 1989 through March 1991, the period of German
reunification and the final days of the Soviet Union, she served in the Bush
Administration as Director, and then Senior Director, of Soviet and East
European Affairs in the National Security Council, and a Special Assistant
to the President for National Security Affairs. In 1986, while an
international affairs fellow of the Council on Foreign Relations, she served
as Special Assistant to the Director of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. In 1997,
she served on the Federal Advisory Committee on Gender -- Integrated
Training in the Military. She was a member of the boards of directors for
the Chevron Corporation, the Charles Schwab Corporation, the William and
Flora Hewlett Foundation, the University of Notre Dame, the International
Advisory Council of J.P. Morgan and the San Francisco Symphony Board of
Governors. She was a Founding Board member of the Center for a New
Generation, an educational support fund for schools in East Palo Alto and
East Menlo Park, California and was Vice President of the Boys and Girls
Club of the Peninsula. In addition, her past board service has encompassed
such organizations as Transamerica Corporation, Hewlett Packard, the
Carnegie Corporation, Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, The Rand
Corporation, the National Council for Soviet and East European Studies, the
Mid-Peninsula Urban Coalition and KQED, public broadcasting for San
Francisco. Born November 14, 1954 in Birmingham, Al abama, she resides in
Washington, D.C.
So who are these celebrities? What is their education? What is their
experience in affairs of State or in National Security? While I will
defend to the death their right to express their opinions, I think that if
they are going to call into question the intelligence of our leaders, we
should also have all the facts on their educations and background:
Barbra Streisand : Completed high school Career: Singing and acting
Cher: Dropped out of school in 9th grade. Career: Singing and acting
Martin Sheen: Flunked exam to enter University of Dayton. Career: Acting
Jessica Lange: Dropped out college mid-freshman year. Career: Acting
Alec Baldwin: Dropped out of George Washington U. after scandal. Career:
Acting
Julia Roberts: Completed high school. Career: Acting
Sean Penn: Completed High school. Career: Acting
Susan Sarandon: Degree in Drama from Catholic University of America in
Washington, D.C. Career: Acting
Ed Asner; Completed High school. Career: Acting
George Clooney: Dropped out of University of Kentucky. Career: Acting
Michael Moore: Dropped out first year University of Michigan. Career: Movie
Director
Sarah Jessica Parker: Completed High School. Career: Acting
Jennifer Anniston: Completed High School. Career: Acting
Mike Farrell: Completed High school. Career: Acting
Janeane Garofelo: Dropped out of College. Career: Stand up comedienne
Larry Hagman: Attended Bard College for one year. Career: Acting
While comparing the education and experience of these two groups, we should
also remember that President Bush and his cabinet are briefed daily, even
hourly, on the War on Terror and threats to our security. They are privy to
information gathered around the world concerning the Middle East, the
threats to America, the intentions of terrorists and terrorist-supporting
governments. They are in constant communication with the CIA, the FBI,
Interpol, NATO, The United Nations, our own military, and that of our allies
around the world. We cannot simply believe that we have full knowledge of
the threats because we watch CNN!! We cannot believe that we are in any way
as informed as our leaders.
These celebrities have no intelligence-gathering agents, no fact-finding
groups, no insight into the minds of those who would destroy our country.
They only have a deep seated hatred for all things Republican. By nature,
and no one knows quite why, the Hollywood elitists detest Conservative views
and anything that supports or uplifts the United States of America. The
silence was deafening from the Left when Bill Clinton bombed a
pharmaceutical factory outside of Khartoum, or when he attacked the Bosnian
Serbs in 1995 and 1999. He bombed Serbia itself to get Slobodan Milosevic
out of Kosovo, and not a single peace rally was held. When our Rangers were
ambushed in Somalia and 18 young American lives were lost, not a peep was
heard from Hollywood. Yet now, after our nation has been attacked on its
own soil, after 3,000 Americans were killed, by freedom-hating terrorists,
while going about their routine lives, they want to hold rallies against the
war. Why the change? Because an honest, God-fearing Republican sits in the
White House.
Another irony is that in 1987, when Ronald Reagan was in office, the
Hollywood group aligned themselves with disarmament groups like SANE, FREEZE
and PEACE ACTION, urging our own government to disarm and freeze the
manufacturing of any further nuclear weapons, in order to promote world
peace. It is curious that now, even after we have heard all the evidence
that Saddam Hussein has chemical, biological and is very close to obtaining
nuclear weapons, their is no cry from this group for HIM to disarm. They
believe we should leave him alone in his quest for these weapons of mass
destruction, even though it is certain that these deadly weapons will
eventually be used against us in our own cities.
So why the hype out of Hollywood? Could these celebrities believe that
since they draw such astronomical salaries, they are entitled to also
determine the course of our Nation? That they can make viable decisions
concerning war and peace? Did Michael Moore have the backing of the Nation
when he recently thanked France, on our behalf, for being a "good enough
friend to tell us we were wrong"? I know for certain he was not speaking
for me. Does Sean Penn fancy himself a Diplomat, in going to Iraq when we
are just weeks away from war? Does he believe that his High School Diploma
gives him the knowledge (and the right) to go to a country that is
controlled by a maniacal dictator, and speak on behalf of the American
people? Or is it the fact that he pulls in more money per year than the
average American worker will see in a lifetime? Does his bank account give
him clout?
The ultimate irony is that many of these celebrities have made a shambles of
their own lives, with drug abuse, alcoholism, numerous marriages and
divorces, scrapes with the law, publicized temper tantrums, etc. How dare
they pretend to know what is best for an entire nation! What is even more
bizarre is how many people in this country will listen and accept their
views, simply because they liked them in a certain movie, or have fond
memories of an old television sitcom!
It is time for us, as citizens of the United States, to educate ourselves
about the world around us. If future generations are going to enjoy the
freedoms that our forefathers bequeathed us, if they are ever to know peace
in their own country and their world, to live without fear of terrorism
striking in their own cities, we must assure that this nation remains
strong. We must make certain that those who would destroy us are made aware
of the severe consequences that will befall them.
Yes, it is a wonderful dream to sit down with dictators and terrorists and
join hands, singing Cumbaya and talking of world peace. But it is not real.
We did not stop Adolf Hitler from taking over the entire continent of Europe
by simply talking to him. We sent our best and brightest, with the strength
and determination that this Country is known for, and defeated the Nazi
regime. President John F. Kennedy did not stop the Soviet ships from
unloading their nuclear missiles in Cuba in 1962 with mere words. He stopped
them with action, and threat of immediate war if the ships did not turn
around. We did not end the Cold War with conferences. It ended with the
strong belief of President Ronald Reagan... PEACE through STRENGTH.

Thank you VERY much and please vote for little, cute, young, innocent, knowledge-seeking, hard-working, and helping me.... I want my Jeep to be just right!

Power windows and power door locks? I didn't think TJs had those
options, you had to do the with aftermarket stuff, and for some
reason I thought the Sahara came with D44 rear not the 35. I bought
a 98 Sport with the D44 so I am not an expert on the options, those
were just some things I had assumed! :) -Rob

I just heard that if the package is larger than shoebox-size, it may
take longer. You'll also need to fill out a customs form. There is a
bunch of info going around about what you can and can't do and
thought I'd throw that into the mix.

Subject: [TR] Trip Report - Unspecified - Sunday, March 23, 2003
Hello All,
James Dear lead a trail run Sunday, March 23, 2003 across Unspecified
With only Janice and her friend Jim along from AZVJC. The DOC'ers included myself, Angela, Joe B., Jim C. and copilot John T. We left Mcdonalds ontime and headed out toward Globe. The road portion going up to the canyon was better than expected with some of the sites along the way being the ride up through and alongside several canyons along the way to Globe. some of which contained mining operations. And I have to also mention the 20+ cents cheaper gasoline prices. That were to be seen along the way after exiting the Phoenix metro area. Finally 2 hours later we got our first view of the Canyon Which required a stop and photo opportunity. After that we continued on down. Where we had to stop at the local store and purchase our outdoor passes. It was 10:30 by the time we left here.
It was only after we had all bought our $10 special use passes. That we discovered we may could have purchased an outdoor activity permit for $3. But since no one seemed to mind to much we went on about our trip. Just as you enter the dirt road we were greeted by some rangers checking passes. Upon asking we were told that the Canyon Creek was still to high to be crossed. So we made the decision to go as far as we could. Then backtrack and head up to Cibecue. The road is quite 2 wheel drive friendly. As it wound along the river varying in height over it from just 10 or 20 ft. to as high as 200' or so. It never runs next to the river though. All banks with that possibility are reserved for camp grounds. Which most happened to be full. Our first challenge come when we came up to Cibecue Creek. It was flowing well. The crossing was about 50+' or so in width and about 2' deep. After waiting on a Dakota and a Toy. Tundra to cross. It was our turn so Janice with her jeep headed off in first. Then it was my turn. I headed off into the water which promptly rose to just under my headlights. On a Durango that's about 2 1/2ft. We all made it through just fine. With only a couple of D's (myself included) slightly scraping skid plates on a hidden rock in the creek. After this we just meandered along the trail as the rafts did the same along the river. Watching for impressive view and nice white water photo opportunities. Of which we saw several. And I cant forget about the multitude of flowers that were blooming all over the place.
When we reached the turn off for the Cliff Dwellings. My suspicions were confirmed when we found a sign saying Tribal Members only. I had suspected that if the Cliff Dwellings had anything to them they would be off limits. However I did notice on the opposite side of the river their was a long foot trail with many switchbacks that lead down to a possible view point. According to my map and the trail I assume that you are only allowed to view the dwellings from the other side.
We continued on leaving the rivers edge at this point. climbing high up over a ridge then back down to the Canyon Creek Crossing. As we dropped down to it we could see that it was indeed flowing fast and had several rapids with one containing a small waterfall. Upon arrival we found according to the tracks. That someone had made the crossing, but we stopped to have lunch. I felt very blind as I waded off into the water. It was about 60' wide and over 2 1/2 ft. deep. The bottom was composed of firmblack sand and small rocks and mostly smooth. But any attempted vehicle crossing would have resulted in being washed downstream. Luckily I made it across without falling down. The water was very cold. Upon returning to the otherside myself and Jim went to get a closer look at the whitewater areas we had seen. We made it to a couple that were upstream but sides of the canyon were covered in larger boulders and very steep. Any area that didn't have boulders showing were covered in yellow round flowers and also purple one's resembling small Bluebonnets. This made going somewhat treacherous. Yea, the flowers to. They are very slippery when stepped on. So we treaded lightly. The waterfall which was downstream was to far away and time was limited so we made our way back and decided to head out for Cibecue.
We left at around 1:45 and headed back. It was 25 miles to Cibecue. According to the route that my map showed. Upon the way we passed what appeared to be a very well traveled IR 30. That passed by Grasshopper on its way to Cibecue, but it appeared to be a much longer route. So we continued to follow the direct route. Upon arrival to the beginning of this route a few miles later it appeared to be far less traveled. It even had grass growing in the tracks which made me question whether it was even open or not. The first few miles required use to climb around 1500 ft. in elev. Much of this was very rocky The trail was comprised of many small rocks. about baseball/book size in nature. We had a couple of climbs that made the heavy Durango's wheel placement touchy. Nothing for a jeep though. After this we entered a more flat area that had some mud on the trails. I got a little reassurance of the legality of traveling on the rd. when more tracks appeared coming from the opposite direction. Janice promptly filled here jeep with some mud when she spunout playing in on of the muddy areas. Aah the joys of having the top down. As we continued on the area turned more to woods rather than the desert landscape we had left along the canyons rim. Finally we made it into the piney area, not to long before the 4 1/2 hour journey from the flooded creek crossing to Cibecue was over. It was getting late and having the desire to catch the last rays of sunlight upon the Salt River Canyon from the north side we headed off on the paved roads headed home. Unfortunately we missed our sunlight. Although it was still light enough to see the canyon when we entered it. The sun had already dropped behind the peaks. After stopping at the top we headed down for one more stop at the rest area in the bottom. It was here that we decided to find a place to eat dinner. Bar-b-que was the style of food agreed upon. And after Angela searched through her restaurant listings on her GPS. Found a Texas Roadhouse that was open on the way. So off we went. Stopping in Globe so everyone could fill up on the cheapest gas we'd al seen in weeks. $1.75!!!
Finally we arrived at The Texas Roadhouse at around 9:30+ went in and I had a very enjoyable catfish dinner. Janice noted after our food was delivered that no one ordered bar b que after all. It was good all the same.
Upon my return home I discovered a flakey shiny gold colored substance all in my shoes and my first thought was gold dust, but upon further research it turned out to be only mica.
We are in the process of planning a camping trip on Memorial weekend 03. If anyone's interested.

I am painting my jeep "RUDDY BROWN". Primer color widely available

Hello,
The trip will go on!
It looks like Joe has setup multiple smaller groups as listed below.
Flight 1 --- Lead; Joe West, Gunner; Bob Jaques
Members; Mike Kelly, Mike Lopez, Steve Murdock, Allen Bernhardt, Chris Lindsey
Flight 2 --- Lead; Scott Kruize, Gunner; Don Whitehead
Members; Mike Fissel, Jonathan Dexter, Bill Scheller, Richard Logan, Keith Bowcut
Flight 3 --- Lead; Scott Rafferty, Gunner; Lon Robison
Members; Dan Lindblad, Troy Sylvia, Ruben Aviles, Stephen Metcalf, Eric Herring
Flight 4 --- Lead; Tom Le, Gunner; TBD
Members; Brandon Sudeith, John Whitaker, Scott Grigsby, Veronica O'Halloran,Frank Bell, Kit Carson
Flight 5 --- Lead; Dan Sexton, Gunner; Nichole Freemon
Members; Barry Cox, LC Lay, Jason La Montagne, Brandon Kowalski, John Teel
Flight 6 --- Lead; Rick Beer, Gunner; Brandon Reid
Members; Al Pioquinto, Jack Sheeler, Mike Acuna,Brad Gailey, Lance Wilson
Flight 7 --- Lead; Nasser Pirshafiey, Gunner; TBD
Members; Darrell Malin, Mia McCarty, Mike Reyes, Dennis Vega, Jeff Cox, Jason Brown,Joe Shikany
Joe has carefully grouped certain members together and rather than juggle members around we'll just have group 2 leave before group 1 so I can take over the lead position as requested by Joe. It looks like Tom Le and Nasser do not have a designated tail gunner. I trust these guys to pick a gunner of their choice either in advance or at the trailhead.
As usual we will use CB channel 4. It would be nice if the trip leaders of groups 1-7 would each have an FRS radio so we can communicate independently of the CB and keep things organized. I will have 2 extras available if any of the leaders do not have one.
The list above will be updated as necessary though none of the group assignments that are listed will change. If anyone drops out I will remove there name and if anyone new signs up they will be added to a group. So if you see your name listed in a group then count on being in that group.
Joe mentioned using colored ribbons to designate group members. This is great idea. I will need to acquire some ribbon today and will assign a color to each group later today. We will designate each trip leader as Red1, etc so as to make communication easier betweeen trip leaders.
We will need to stop and acquire our Red Rock passes. I will post more details as soon as I can.
Regards,
Scott K

In a historic
re-election victory, he became the first Texas Governor to be elected to
consecutive four-year terms on November 3, 1998 winning 68.6 percent of the
vote. In 1998 Governor Bush won 49 percent of the Hispanic vote, 27 percent
of the African-American vote, 27 percent of Democrats and 65 percent of

other than Richard Nixon in 1972 and is the first Republican gubernatorial
candidate to win the heavily Hispanic and Democratic border counties of El

his I.Q. being lower than any other President. If you believed it, you
might want to go to URBANLEGENDS.COM and see the truth.
Vice President Dick Cheney: Earned a B.A. in 1965 and a M.A. in 1966, both
in political science. Two years later, he won an American Political Science

homeland and win the War on Terrorism.

Primer color widely available
at Ace Hardware. I theorize that once my jeep gets splattered
with mud that I will basically have desert storm camoflauge pattern.

Hello,
The trip will go on!
Regards,
Scott K

Yes it did, it said:
DoD cannot support creative and well-intentioned efforts that defeat force protection measures, but can instead recommend alternatives to mail and donation programs. To show support to troops overseas, the following are recommended:
* Log on to the following Web sites to show support, to include greeting cards, virtual Thank You cards and calling card donations to help troops stay in contact with loved ones:
http://www.defendamerica.mil/support_troops.html
http://www.usocares.org/home.htm
http://www.army.mil/operations/iraq/faq.html
Unsolicited to me means that unless the service person asked me directly to send them something, it is unsolicited. (kind of like it would be if I recommended your name to a telemarketer&.if they then called you, it would be a solicited call.)
You do what ever you think is right. Thanks for support the troops.

didn't it say unsolicited??/....I'm sure that if a troop gives us his/her address and wants you to respond, it shouldn't be a problem.....
