Subject: Mud & Shine Sound bar?

I have been looking into getting a sound bar for my YJ... I came across the Mud & Shine Sound bar and kind of liked it. Anyone used one or know anything about them. This is the one I have been looking at:

http://www.tellico4x4.com/sound/Bars.htm#mud

http://www.tellico4x4.com/images/sound_1.jpg

"The Mud & Shine 3-way system uses a 6" mica woofer with a buryl rubber surround and 10 oz Magnet, a 2 1/2" high compliance midrange and a 1" tweeter with a neodymium magnet and ferrofluid for superior dispersion and efficiency. The tweeters also swivel to adjust imaging. Power handling is 100 watts per side (200 watts total) and includes a crossover network. Available in black, gray or spice."

Thanks for the Help/information...

Allan

Hi Keith

Just did my 87 last week with Fords. Work great and only $90 a set compared
to ~$60 a piece for Jeeps. Ordered them from here
http://www.karkraft.com/performance_parts.htm but it doesn't look like they
have them now. Might give them a call or email. You can also order them from
FiveO Motor Sport http://www.fiveomotorsport.com/Injector_Sets.html
for $123.60 for a set of 6. The D5b-19lb are the ones I used.

I want to thank those of you who respond, for your help, cause I had no clue.

Purple, please bring the hand held just in case, if I am not able to install the one I get.

Knowing me, I will get struck somewhere, being I am driving a stock but supercharged Jeep.

She goes by the name "SNOW".

Darnella,

Some folks get them at Walmart, K-Mart, Target, or Radio Shack. Others prefer to get them from a CB radio shop. Apollo Communications is one that comes to mind (on the west side of the valley). You will get a bit more “hand holding”, so to speak, at a CB shop since they specialize in it. At one of the other places, it is pretty much a self-serve from the shelf.

I know some folks on the list have had good customer service at some of the shops and they will hopefully chime in with a recommendation.

small cameras mounted underneath that are hooked up to a recorder for

Subject: [OT] Support Our Troops

After reading all the posts lately I'm saddened by certain responses. I also
spent 9 yrs in the Army. I am very patriotic. I am involved in a military
color guard where we march in many parades to honor our veterans and current
servicemen and women.
Why dont you think what we did Saturday did any good? All it takes is a
soldiers family see what we did and write to their son or daughter about
what they saw. Thats all I would need to feel better. I wouldnt need to
actually see it. I would just want to know that someone back home is
supporting what they are doing. Yes, a good welcome home is what they are
going to get but they are also going to get my full support WHILE they are
gone, whether it be standing on a corner or driving around displaying flags
and honking horns, writing emails which we are doing or sending care
packages.

There was a couple things I saw this weekend that made me smile and made me
feel what we were doing was not only right but necessary. While we were
driving past the National Guard there were a few people (I would bet
soldiers) were having a BBQ in the front yard, as they seen us driving past
two of them jumped up and ran like hell yelling and clapping to the street.
The look on their faces made it well worth it. Another point was driving
around the capitol, their was a lady sitting with her children at a bus stop
half way down the road, she heard us honking the horns and they all stood up
and clapped. While there were hundreds more kind acts Saturday, those two
stood out. We had hundreds of honks, thumbs up and I still get it driving
down the road by myself. Even had people slowing down just to give a thumbs
up then going on their way.

I also feel what we are doing is not only for our troops but for the
families of the troops and veterans. Everyone that I talk to was very
supportive of what we did and I'm sure the word got out. I am very proud of
the turnout we had for the very short notice we had. Thanks to all who
showed and took the time to do show their support. I am looking at doing
this again this coming weekend.

I made a new website yesterday to see if anyone would want to continue our
support to keep this out of the AZVJC. Or we could just keep it OT. I dont
want anyone to get into any debates on the site as I have seen many other
subjects that are OT but they continue for a long period of time. Let me
know what you all think?

I found this on the JU board this A.M. :)

Chirac Vows to Say No to Everything, Forever

Just moments after U.S. Special Operations forces discovered what appeared to be a 100-acre chemical weapons plant south of Baghdad, French President Jacques Chirac appeared on national television to announce that France was vetoing the discovery.

“The United States may think they have found a chemical weapons plant, but I say, no, they haven’t,” Mr. Chirac said. “And they can’t make me say they have.”

Throughout his speech, an unyielding Chirac said that no matter what the U.S. finds in Iraq in the future, he would use his “super-veto powers” to nullify any discoveries they might make.

In just one example of his intentions, the French President said that even if the U.S. produced a videotape of Saddam Hussein launching a nuclear missile tipped with chemical and biological weapons, he would veto that tape “without batting an eye.”

“Veto, c’est moi,” Chirac added.

Turning his attention to the NCAA basketball tournament, the French President said he was “rejecting” the results of the weekend game between Maryland and Xavier, adding that Xavier, not Maryland should be on the road to the NCAA championship.

“Contrary to reports that Maryland defeated Xavier 77-64, I maintain that in fact Xavier triumphed over Maryland, 108-62,” Chirac said.

In Washington, White House spokesman Ari Fleischer called Mr. Chirac “delusional,” adding, “It’s kind of sad.”

But within minutes, President Chirac offered a spirited response, saying, “Who is this Ari Fleischer? I say he does not exist.”

This is not off-topic, imo, and in addition to Jeff's new
web site we definitely SHOULD keep this thread on the list.

You are all invited to join this group designed to HELP Support Our Troops.
Our mission is to do "runs" and drive around the city's and show our support
on the weekends. We have already done one "Support Our Troops run" this past
saturday and got hundreds if not thousands of positive feedback from the
citizens. We drove around Mesa, Tempe, Phoenix around the Capitol, National
Guard, VA Hospital and the Veterans Home. These runs are peaceful
car-a-thons to show our support and in no way a means of backlashing out at
anti-war protestors (even though we may drive by them a few times). If you
want to go on some "runs" then have the flags, banners and horns ready to
show your Support. Lets show our Troops, their families and our Veterans
that someone does care and support what they are doing.

Thanks and God Bless,

Wow, this post really riles up some people. I have noticed that people
really identify you as either being on their side or being on the other
side. I often hear the words "which side of the fence" or you "sit on the
fence". I did not realize there was a fence. I thought the world was full of
individuals who all had the right to think and come up with their own
opinions. I lean right wing by nature but refuse to let anyone label me as
such. I'm an individual and will stand up for my ideas as such. I won't jump
on any bandwagon nor will I follow the right if its wrong. On the other hand
most what the left does makes me sick to my stomach but there are times that
they too have ok ideas.

I'm starting to think that some of you skim over some of these posts and
prematurely shoot your next message off without reading the entire post. I
see lots of emotional responses without much evidence of any thought being
put into them.

I saw an interesting interview that Geraldo did with one of the soldiers in
Afghanistan. The soldier said that he was fighting as much for the right of
those people to demonstrate for the war as he was for those demonstrating
against it. They are fighting for freedom and the last time I checked this
included the opinions of those that you may not like or disagree with. This
really struck me as being right on. If the soldiers over there realizes this
then why can't all the armchair quarterbacks back home? You can argue with
the other side all day and it will get you no where. You are as unlikely to
change their opinion as they are yours. Instead we should all respect each
others opinion and quit making it a personal matter. We are all here to go
Jeeping and enjoy the comraderie from such Jeeping.

Bless the troops!

Regards,

Scott

What is wrong with you? You need to get out more. You think that
that is the only reason to rally in support? What have you seen on
the local news and CNN when they are not covering the war? Anti-war
rallys. What's wrong with trying to get some pro-war attention? You
don't think that our guys over there don't get CNN? The only time
they see anything on their right now from the home front is about how
many protesters there are. If we could get enough people to do some
GOOD to support what we are trying to do over there, maybe they will
pick that up and let them see that there are more people here that
support what they are doing (a recent poll found that 2/3 of the US
population SUPPORTS the war) that oppose it. They might keep their
spirits up and come home safely. There are MANY ways to show
support, ALL of which are worth doing!
Do you think that Saddam cares how we treat thier POWs? He WANTS
them dead! How screwed up is that?! How scared do you think they
are about being "tried as war criminals". What does that mean? We
will put them in a camp and feed and take care of them? Whoopie!
They will be treated better than they are now. Wea re fighting a war
that is LONG overdue. He is a tyrannical, selfish, ruthless dictator
that has NO concern for human life (even his own supporters!) other
than his own!
If you like your Jeep and the freedom to go out on a trail,
support what they are doing. If you are against what they are trying
to do, move to France. Flame away! ! !

If you have other "anti-war" opinions that you'd like to share
with reasons and rational thoughts, please, inform me. I'd love to
hear why you don't think this is a worthy cause. I haven't heard
anyone that has said their views why they don't agree. Keep it off
post if you don't want to share with the group. I really want to
know your reasons. If no one can give me any, then why are we even
debating this?

I agree that everyone has the right to their own opinion. I said that in my message. When you call people that are actually DOING SOMETHING, "armchair quarterbacks", that is ridiculous. What are you doing? Sitting at your comp. callingnames of poking fun ("warm and fuzzy inside" comes to mind). If you have another opiniono of why we shouldn't be there, please, explain yourself. I have my views but am open to hear other thoughts and ideas. I, as much as most anyone, don't like war. But, at this time, I think that it's the only option we have left. What do you think Scott? I, too, attended the run to support our troops and would be more than happy
to attend another one. I think it was a positive experience all the way
around.

I'm truly disappointed that many people here are complaining that a run to
show support for our troops is OT and that it shouldn't be posted on the
"trips" page so that we can gather as many people as possible who want to
attend.

Tsk! Tsk!

Armchair quarterbacks means most american people. It was not directly people at you or any other member.

Calm down. We probably agree more on this stuff than you realize.
