Power went out at the house so we went and found a geo cache and decided to set one up for our selves. We call it the Treasure Tree. its within 8 feet of the point. above eye level. Try it out if your in the area.

Change the 37 to a 33. I guessing that's where it is.

You might edit your original post with "33"

I have an account on geocaching.com, but being it's not my cache and I can't maintain it/replace it should it be muggled), I can't add it. If you can/will maintain it and want it on the site, go ahead and register and post it up.

Joe - no GPS needed. You can map the waypoint pretty close on a topo map (or online on any coordinate aware map site) which should get you as close as a GPS will. Once onsite, just think like a hider and they are usually fairly easy to find. I've successfully hunted geocaches using nothing but maps plenty of times.

That's cool.

The only reason to post it on geocaching.com is to publicize it so others can find it. And as is common with many public caches, they fall into disrepair or are muggled (stolen). If enough seekers report a cache needs attention or is unfindable and the owner doesn't do anything about it, they just archive it.

So maybe this one is better off just posted here for exclusive hunting by the VJC :)
