This could be manning the radio for teams in the field, keeping track of who is out, where they are, and when they are due for next radio contact and well as taking ops normal reports from hams in the field. MCECG/AEN-MAR would also like to participate in training activities with SAR as well as other trail outings that are appropriate.

I have been working with Grunt on this issue (CPR/first aid) - he can get the fire dept to do it for 25.00 per person...it looks like the 15.00 fee for the every saturday may work better.

I failed to say at the meeting that Dallas Lane also is one of two people in the state who is authorized to administer the National Association for Search and Rescue (NASAR) SAR Tech II test. He will present Fundamentals of Search and Rescue tailored to our needs if we want. We can talk about this at the next meeting when we revisit classes and scheduling.

Just from my perspective on what we are trying to do/accomplish; I think the way to go is with Dallas Lane. I like the September date.

Obviously most everyone on VJC is ready to "saddle up" if there is an emergency; that being said, the more proficient we are, organizationally and otherwise, the more potential we have to be effective.
