Here is a poll.

Should we keep post numbers under members names?

I reversed the poll question from the topic question. "Should we keep" "Should we remove" .

watch out. :)

now I don't know which way I voted, but based on my others posts it should be YES (ditch it).

Who cares? I never look at the post numbers unless someone I don't know comes on and start with "his/her opinion".

hehe I should have added a who cares option from the looks of it. :)

I say the posts numbers stay, that way it's more obvious when the spammers come on here just to give people a hard time.

As long as the "Date Registered" stays I don't care either way.

Post count matters little. Substance matter alot. It is usually easily discerned who has a clue and who doesn't. If someone just registered and you can see that date, you know to be cautious of their opinions and advice. (We should be anyways, after all it is the internet ;) )

I am quick to ignore those who post just to have numbers.

Craig's right, I didn't even really see the registration date. As long as that's still there I'm indifferent on the matter.

I like to troll, and you made me vote Yes, which I wanted to KEEP the count.

I like to see post counts for several reasons.

1. I can see who the other trolls are.

2. We can identify the new people that start posting, and give a little more advice then, "try the search".

I will think of more in a little while.

Good point mike, Keep the post numbers so we can figure out who we need to tell how to search.....If they ask a question like "How big of a tire can I fit on my stock TJ/XJ/ZJ without rubbing" We can BLAST them into the search mode........:D

I vote to keep the posts count. BTW, what is the magic number I need so I can feel like a grown up again? Junior member makes me feel like a kid.

I get confused (a lot) Is it smaller numbers is better like Golf or smaller numbers good like 00 wire on my winch? If I lurk a lot and laugh at the fools who can't type or use the english language properly how can I get good numbers (big or little)? Should I post a lot of test messages just to get my count up? If I stack my gas cans and burn them to help melt the plutonium I use to heat my lunch, (I prefer roast spotted owl or barbeque Manatee as Bald Eagle gives me gas) do I have to unstack them so YJ's will have to winch up Niagra falls? And finally, I went on the Sunflower Mine loop with the TJ train. I came home and hosed 546 pounds of mud off/out of my Jeep. Do I have to scoop it up and bring it back out there? Inquiring Minds want to know.

OK now I have 14 ziplock bags of red clay/dirt numbered by location and approx altitude. On my way out to the Sunflower Mine Loop I get stopped and the cop wants to know what is in the baggies. I try to explain to him and he gets the drug sniffing dog and goes through the whole process. Then he threatens to call BLM for me illegally shifting BLM dirt through Federal Land and probably violating some Tribal land in the process. Then he uses his trusty electron microscope to discover micro fossils and I have disrupted dinosaur grave site and he has an archeological disaster team called out...

No Thanks

I just hosed it into the grass and I am planning to get some more soon. When is the next Sunflower Mine Trip? :D
