I finally had time to install the new springs and shocks on my YJ, the stock ones have been sagging for some time. I picked up most of the stuff from 4 Wheelers Supply, thanks for the help and great prices Cole. Attached a couple of pictures from before and after. The best part was getting off the 2in. shackle lift.

Anyway, I have a few things left to do, stuff that required more than unskilled labor. I still need to put on the extended brake lines, and the dropped pitman arm. Anyone willing to teach a noob how to change brake lines?

I have extended brake lines if you want them, 3-5 months use on trails. they are rubicon express braided lines

let me know

as for replacing them, it is simple. get a catch can of some sort, remove line from frame mount, remove from caliper, and install new lines. then pump the pedal a few times to get fluid in through the lines. then have a help press and hold the pedal down, crack open the bleeder on the caliper close bleeder, pump pedal few times, keep repeating process until no air and only fluid come squirting out.

start with the front to get majority of the air out, then start at right rear, then do left rear, then do right front, then left front, keep going until all air is removed and pedal is firm.

dont forget to constantly check master cylinder is full of brake fluid... also brake fluid will eat through paint. so clean up any surfaces it contacts.

How Much?

Sounds easy enough... I have never bled brakes before. Will it be obvious what the "bleeder" is? I have the Chilton service manual for the jeep, haven't checked but I am assuming it will show this procedure in there?

Yes, how much for the lines?
