Im at a loss here I have a very bad vibrations coming from the front end. Its a 92 XJ

I have checked and replace U-joints rebalanced and inspected tires no play in either wheel. All bushings are in good shape. And this vibration starts at about 50 mile an hour.

Any help will be appreciated.

Did you check the Frt CV ball, if there is any play at all you will get a vibration. You need to pull the shaft completly out to check it.

I will now :)

But generally speaking if the TC is not engaged then it shouldnt be causing vibration even if something was wrong, correct?

The driveshaft is still spinning, unless you have locking hubs.

Nope no locking hubs. Then that is the next place I will look.

Thanks a lot I appreciate it.

you said you had the tires balanced.. It's possible they could still be out

I have to agree with Jay... I took mine in to the same shop I have used
for over a year.. the guy that is "normally" there was transferred to a
different shop... my ride is WORSE off than before...

taking her to his new location... BFE... but thats ok.. he is worth the
drive ... seems he is the only one that can balance the tires without
me getting the DEATH WOBBLE...

Problem solved. thanks to every one with advice.

It turned out to be the front shaft front U-joint.
Seems when I took down the shaft the other day to get my arm up to the top of the tranny I didnt get the U-joint bolted in properly.

Teach me to get in a hurry and not pay attention. If it would have started right away I could have figured that out on my own but the vibration didnt start till two days later. OH well lesson well learned.

Thanks again
Adam
