I am going to be going on a vaction soon, I would like to take my Jeep along. I will be in the Central Oregon area and I was wondering if anyone knows of any rock crawling in that area. I did a search on other web sights and a genral google search but came up with nothing. I did find plenty of sand dunes and one rock crawling place that is like 300 miles from where I will be.
Let me know if you know where the trails are, Thanks

Lots of good microbreweries and brew pubs there, too.

Where exactly will you be? I know lots of places in Oregon, but it'll be easier if we know where you'll be based.
You can also join the OBH Yahoo group (http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/obh) and post up there for someone to lead you on a run somewhere.

Deschutes brewery has a great beer! Lots of great sites in bend as well.
So much to see! Are you going to be hiking or just crawling? Crater lake is a fantastic hike!

He said he'll be in "central Oregon" so likely out near Bend somewhere. It's a hike from Bend to TSF, so not sure he'll get a chance to run there. I helped open the Crushers a year or two before I moved from Oregon when I was a member of the Brush Busters. Fun trail, especially when wet (which is most of the time) :)
Check out OOHVA (http://www.oohva.org/) for lots of trail info all over the state.
There are some good spots out near Bend...

Or, he could run over to Eugene/Springfield and hit Shotgun Creek if it's still open, but that's mostly powerline trails with mud holes,
or over to Cottage Grove and run the Noonday Trail (not hard but very scenic).
