Took off the old carter to put on a weber. Curious if there would be any interest in the old card.

The Carb. came off of a 1989 jeep wrangler, it was rebuilt about 3,000 miles ago and was removed due to a nice X-mas present.

I don't have pics, and it would be shipped out of Seattle Washington, but if interested make me an offer.

Roger,

I always wondered during my research why I kept hearing different
numbers for the Waggy 44's. Turns out that anything 80 and up with the
drivers side drop is 60.75" WMS. If you convert it to 5 on 5.5" pattern
using Ford parts it will be 61.5" WMS. That's where the discrepencies
come from.

The widetrack numbers you hear about are only for the 79 and older
passenger drop 44's.

Just thought you'd find it interesting.

those numbers sound right to me. My Waggy 44 was less than 1" wider
than my YJ Dana 30. I think your 44 with allows and CTM's will be
plenty strong for 37's.

Scott,

The '73 Waggy D44 front was 5-5.5, disc brakes & open knuckle.
'72 was a closed knuckle D44 with drums, also 5-5.5. '74 was where
they went to the 6 lug. Then these have the wrong side pumpkin for
your Jeep, but all I was trying to point out is Jeep did have a 5-5.5
disc.
Those adapters are really ugly, I can see why you wouldn't want to
use them.

Rodger,
I just layed the lug pattern out on AutoCAD, lol. you are right. For
some reason I was thinking the 5's would fit right in the middle of
the 6's.

Mom taught me fool me once shame on me.... well I been fooled! I
bought the wench listed below on this web site friday night, went to
ray's house he said the winch works and showed me by hooking it up
to his battery and turning it on so it made a clicking noise, he did
not want to engage the cluth because it wasnt mounted, and goofy me
I trusted him. I drove strait home with the winch excited as all get
out, hooked it up and nothing happened but a click! I called ray, he
said its prolly a cellinoid but had no explination as to how it
would go out between my house and his, he suggested I try replacing
the part. I got the part at 4Wheelers Supply but thought I had
better not try to fix it since I know nothing about winches. I
called Ray and told him the winch dont work, I want my money back,
he said fine he has another buyer anyway, then decided he wanted to
try to fix the winch himself on wednesday. I took the winch to
4wheelers this morning, steve calls me about 4 to tell me the motor
is blown and wants $240 to fix it. I called ray to tell him I dont
want his winch and he says too bad I already spent the money, I told
him he advertised a almost new winch and this is definately not, he
did not care. I even offered to pay half the repair, he reminded me
again that he already spent the money, I said you can pay me later,
he said he has a car payment and needs to pay his probation officer
ect.... Is this the way business is normally done on AZVJC? This is
my first experience buying from the classified section and I feel
like I took the high hard one.

Well guys, the time has come and the 8" kit I just bought and never used except to install for testing tire clearance only, is for sale, I paid $2560 for it. I have sold some of the pieces like to trackbar, shocks, and steering stab, and I want to sell the rest since I will not be using it, I'm asking $1500 for it whole or I'm willing to part out the differant pieces.

Damn, that sucks. Best thing you can do is document everything, call
him and tell him you'll contact the police or his probation officer
regarding fraud charges and if Ray is truly on probation he will come
up with the money. If he doesn't pony up call the cops, show them the
original ad he placed, 4 wheelers estimate for the repair, and hope
that they take it from there. Explain to him that he's gonna have a
hell of a time paying his car payment from Jail. Only other route is
small claims court. It takes alot of your time and in the end you get
a judgement that may or may not be enforcable if he really doesn't
have the money.

Let me know if you need help finding out who his Probation Officer is

Well, I can say that all 4 times I've purchased a product from an AZVJC member I've had nothing but great outcomes. Every time I've even had offers to help me install whatever it was that I bought. Nice curtious people that love not only their jeeps but also their fellow jeepers. Leave it to 1 guy to screw it up for everyone. It's just like if an AZVJCer went out and dumped a whole bunch of trash out at the Table Mesa area right after the huge cleanup. It only takes 1 to give the group a bad name. I've heard it said that it takes 7 nice things to makeup for 1 bad thing...I believe it and I'm a very forgiving person. I would do what you can to right the situation. I would like to let you know that if you ever have to do business with me I will be more than helpful and wouldn't promote a product that doesn't work. That's bogus man!!! I feel for you.

Howdy! I may really be stepping in it here, but we are looking for
more Jeep tour guides.

I know that many of you are experienced drivers, but driving a HEAVY
Jeep (tourists are getting bigger and bigger these days!) is
different, especially while entertaining (the same) tourists for
several hours.

We are looking for entertaining, educated people. Our best guides
are college-educated, long time Southwest residents and outdoors-
people. Our training takes about 4 to 6 weeks. Of course, one would
have to live in the vicinity of the Sedona/Verde Valley area.

If anyone is interested, I will email or fax a complete job
description. No phone calls for now, please.

Happy trails!

Learn from your misfortune.

Even though Ray has done an injustice to you, you are at fault too by
agreeing to purchase something you were not sure of. For just a little more
$$ you could of had a new winch with a waranty. I had a similar problem
when buying an axle.

On the other hand, it's not your fault that Ray has a car payment and has to
pay his probation officer. That's a bunch of sh_t! If Ray would have paid
for the repairs you would both be happy Jeepers. As I see it, Ray has
tarnished his name... end of story.

Good luck to ya. I hope everything works out.

Nena

Howdy, y'all!

To all of you who have expressed interest in the Jeep Rally at our
ranch, I have not forgotten. I mentioned the idea to our insurance
agent and he almost had a stroke. As you can imagine, liability is
huge in this business (especially with Pink Jeep rolling tour Jeeps
regularly, like they did again this weekend!)

Anyway, I am exploring ways around it, and will let you know what we
come up with.

Until then...Happy trails!

What the heck are these Pink Jeeps doing to cause a rollover during a "tour"? I may want to get in on one of those tours...are helmets included in the price? lol

Subject: [FS] Extended shock towers -74 and up CJ

Price: $100.00

Contact: Rick @ rjl76cj@msn.com

These are home made towers. I took the bolt on, tall towers off an 82 CJ, and I picked up another set from the junk yard. I cut one set in half and stacked it on top of the other set. I welded it up, reinforced them and mounted them. This enabled me to use a 7" longer shock for more travel. They will bolt on any 80 and newer CJ, but on any thing older, the old mounts will have to be cut off and holes drilled in the frame. The tires will rub the top of the tower at full stuff, on the narrow track axels (like mine) but on the wide track they'll work just fine.

Stu,

Thank you for taking the time to let me know. The TREAD Lightly
principles are taken VERY seriously by our guides (well, as seriously
as we get in this business.) We see hundreds of thousands of
tourists per year, so we hope that some of what we tell them sticks.

I love TREAD Lightly because what they stand for is responsible use,
and it is a bridge between us, the people who enjoy our public lands,
and the Forest Service, the entity managing our public lands.

We promote TREAD Lightly membership from our reservations office, as
well. The owner of our company is a strong proponent of using our
visible position as a commercial company to promote responsible use
of our lands, as well as our right to use it.

Thank you, again. Happy trails!

Nena
