One way to justify it is to give credit to any organization that donates a
certain amount of volunteer time, in lieu of dues.

Scott the benefit of military wrap is that if the main leaf breaks you still can drive the vehicle off the trail. I have a set of Re Extreme Duty 2 1/2" on my SOA and have been very impressed. They flex well and so far have held up to the abuse I put them through. I would look into the RE 4.5" springs for what you are looking for. Jim F.

AWESOME! My dilema is solved and fixed this next weekend! CHEAPER THAN
EXPECTED TOO (thats always good). I need a shop that can do some bellhousing
machining. The one I have has plenty of material but the center hole needs
opened up and new holes drilled for the new tranny pattern. Anyone have
suggestions on a machine shop? I also dont need driveshafts because my old
setup had a HUGE spacer in it. The input shafts are the same length. This
swap was almost too good to be true. Shoulda dont this loooooong ago instead
of rebuilding that POS 3 speed.

From recent experience, I know the feeling... be glad they didn't take your
entire rig. I ended up putting an alarm system with a pager and proximity
sensor, hood lock, and kill switch in after my Jeep was broken into. I've
now helped a few dozen people put in kill switches and I'm hoping someday to
have most of the active group have kill switches at a minimum.

Last night, for the first time ever, my alarm pager went off at about
midnight. I put my robe on, grabbed my flashlight and .45 sig and went
outside... didn't see anyone and nothing appeared to be touched.

I'm glad they didn't do more than rip off your speaker box... do you live in

Jose,

Since you asked for other options;

I believe that Rusty's Offroad is now selling Ged's XJ Armor
rocker skids.

I see them on the website...price is $369, considerably less than
what I got them for direct from Ged.

Very nice rock skids, offer perhaps the ultimate rocker
protection as they completely cover the rocker panel. I noticed
quite an improvment in handling on the road also as they stiffen
the uniframe.

I have heard only good things about Kevin's sliders also and he
is local.

One difficulty with the XJ Armor skids is you have to open a door
to use a highlift jack, they don't stick out from the rocker more
than 1/2 inch or so.

Will most likely be at John's BBQ in Feb if you would like to see
them.

Hope this helps,
Ralph

Oh yeah, they claim is it a bolt on unit. That is, it will bolt on in
a couple of hours. Maybe you could take it off when you needed to go
through emissions.
Also, they make one for a 2.5L.
