I don't think we should delete anything. I'm sure Mike C can archive
this stuff to an alternate location.

if need be, I can transfer some old archives to my server (4x4jeep.net)
maybe Mike and Joe W can assess the situation as to how far back we need
to hold on to logs... maybe sometime in the future mike will integrate
the archives into the azvjc web site.

In the past, I've tried to think of an easy way to archive the data on yahoo
groups for the azvjc, but the format is too convoluted for me to figure out
how to do it. If there is a single text or data file, it would be easy...
but the only data I can find is html and then... you can only view small
portions of the archive in a single page... it would take an absolute
eternity to archive all that html by hand.

Mikes the expert... if it can be done; he will know how to do it. The nice
thing about a REAL archive is that it would be simple to convert it to a
searchable text file and then members could check the archive first when
looking for answers.

Kind Regards,

Joe West

Let me throw a wrench into everyone’s thinking. That is the area with the minor. Is it not possible that he did the blasting because he didn’t want people coming through his mine area? Before somebody goes off blaming the BLM that should be looked at and figured out…..

That’s my two cents…..

Burn her! Burn her! Burn her! Burn! Burn!...

BEDEVERE:

Who are you who are so wise in the ways of science?

ARTHUR:

I am Arthur, King of the Britons.

BEDEVERE:

My liege!

ARTHUR:

Good Sir Knight, will you come with me to Camelot and join us at the Round Table?

BEDEVERE:

My liege! I would be honored.

ARTHUR:

What is your name?

BEDEVERE:

'Bedevere', my liege.

ARTHUR:

Then I dub you 'Sir Bedemere, Knight of the Round Table'.

Subject: Need ideas for power distribution panel

Need some tips/advice/ideas/comments from anyone that has added a separate power panel distribution for easy access to direct power from the battery.

I am looking at installing a panel in my 2000 TJ that will be live (a direct feed from the battery) and I can make all my aftermarket connections to, i.e. rock lights/driving lights/arb compressor. I was wondering if anyone has done this and has any leads on where to get the parts. Also, any tips/pics etc... would be appreciated

I have checked the obvious auto parts stores and all they have is some lower quality components that are not what I am looking for.

TIA,

-Mike

Auto zone had a distribution block a few weeks ago when I was there... I dont remember details... i think it was around $40... I think it would be easy to get a distribution block from audio express, with a 12 guage wire w/ inline fuse to the battery.... If you decide to do this and need help contact me... if you decide to do this and dont need help, document your work so I can read about it and do it next :)

Subject: RE: yj gas tank

Well Indeed all the information out there says that Chrysler only made one size tank for the Yj's, the 20 gallon one. However I beg to differ with that. I too was in the mind set of converting my tank to hold the 20 gallons. When i went through the whole process of pulling the tube out that is supposed to be something like 9 1/2 inches long. Mine was only 3 inches, so needless to say I can still only get 15 gallons in my tank. I know this because the day after I pulled the 3 inches of tubing I ran the jeep til I ran out of gas. When I filled it up only 15 gallons would fit. So I was disappointed. Now I do know that my yj actually has a 96 engine in it from the VIN thats what teh dealer told me, so I am not sure if all 95's are the same or not. Its worth the try or if you can crawl underneath your rig and there is a barcode sticker on teh drivers side of the tank and post the numbers on it I can compare it to mine and see if they match or something. Just FYI..

I agree with Nick... go to a car audio store, just dont go to Audio
Express! They do not give you your money back if you get the wrong
part (I used cash to buy it)! I didn't even open the box, and
returned it the same day and all they would give me is store credit.
I bought a battery terminal with multiple outputs, but I bought the
Negative clamp, not the Positive. Instead of drive all the way back
to Audio Express I got the correct one at a closer store to get the
job done... so I didnt need it anymore. Needless to say I should
have looked at the box closer before I left the store, but now I
have a $15 credit there that I will probably never use. -Rob

A witch!

CROWD:

A witch! A witch!...

VILLAGER #4:

Here is a duck. Use this duck.

[quack quack quack]

BEDEVERE:

Very good. We shall use my largest scales.

CROWD:

Ohh! Ohh! Burn the witch! Burn the witch! Burn her! Burn her! Burn her! Burn her! Burn her! Burn her! Burn her! Ahh! Ahh...

BEDEVERE:

Right. Remove the supports!

[whop]

[clunk]

[creak]

CROWD:

A witch! A witch! A witch!

WITCH:

It's a fair cop.

VILLAGER #3:

Burn her!

CROWD:

Burn her! Burn her! Burn her! Burn! Burn!...

BEDEVERE:

Who are you who are so wise in the ways of science?

ARTHUR:

I am Arthur, King of the Britons.

BEDEVERE:

My liege!

ARTHUR:

Good Sir Knight, will you come with me to Camelot and join us at the Round Table?

BEDEVERE:

My liege! I would be honored.

ARTHUR:

What is your name?

BEDEVERE:

'Bedevere', my liege.

ARTHUR:

Then I dub you 'Sir Bedemere, Knight of the Round Table'.

Let me throw a wrench into everyones thinking. That is the area with the minor. Is it not possible that he did the blasting because he didnt want people coming through his mine area? Before somebody goes off blaming the BLM that should be looked at and figured out&..

Thats my two cents&..
