I've run with the front connected and disconneted on both sways on my XJ
also, and you can definatly tell the difference. I also run the Rancho 9000
adjustable shocks and with it on number 4 setting I can't tell the sway bar
is disconnected up front. But for safety reasons I wouldn't run without at
least the front connected or the shocks on #4. Just my .05

From the measurements I have seen, swampers are about the truest to
the actual height that they are listed as. Mickey Thompson is about
as far away from the size they are listed as. The 37 MTR's will be
closer to 35.5" or 36" installed, the stronger sidewalls on the
swampers will keep them at about 38", maybe a half inch off, but
very close.

I posted 5 pics of my brakes to a Webshots album.
http://community.webshots.com/album/60692766wtblCT
In the first picture, you can see that one cable is shorter than the other.
We drilled out the hole for the passenger side cable and added a new piece
to equalize the two sides.
The second picture shows the extended link I made from 3/16 all-thread.
The last 3 show the hydraulic lines. It will look different on an SUA setup,
but you get the idea.

Hello,
So now that I've had time to play with my GPS, its pretty awesome. Can anyone zip and email me their Mapsource gps files? I've been inputting all my old notes but its such a pain, But wow, its so nice to SEE the trails for a change.
Question though, in mapsource when I select to import a map, I get a warning saying that I'm overwriting something that the manufacturer pre-loaded. Is that something I want to do? Am I overwriting the base map?? I have a Garmin Vista.

Actually the 38" Swampers are really small. The 38.5's are WAY
bigger. Id say the 37" Mt/R is about the same as a 38" Swamper(15"
rim, the 16" 38's are actually quite a bit bigger, as they were
created later and they made the mold bigger.)

take the o ring out on mine and it helped, but the rears will lock up

braking. Also, if anyone takes out the o-ring and doesnt want it

While I have not read the user manual for your Vista, I would imagine it is indicating that you are overwriting that which is in the user memory. I do not believe that Garmin allows you to overwrite the base map information.
You could drop their customer support line an e-mail and verify that. I would think that would be an easy answer for them to come up with.
When you stop using MapSource for your GPS track log files and start using OziExplorer, let me know. I'll be happy to share mine with you. I use MapSource, but only as an upload to enhance the base map information.

I'm looking for a stock YJ 4.0 exhaust manifold. If it's got the usual cracks at the collector, that's ok. But the end that mounts to the head needs to be straight. If you've swapped in a header and want to get rig of that old manifold that's laying around, let me know.

Actually the 38" Swampers are really small. The 38.5's are WAY
bigger. Id say the 37" Mt/R is about the same as a 38" Swamper(15"
rim, the 16" 38's are actually quite a bit bigger, as they were
created later and they made the mold bigger.)

Ive seen one guy use the stock perches, but he had to bend the
springs in to get it to fit, if you looked at it frm the back, the
shackles looked like this \\ // Probably not a good idea. I did
take the o ring out on mine and it helped, but the rears will lock up
before the fronts now, so you have to be careful when turning and
braking. Also, if anyone takes out the o-ring and doesnt want it
anymore, Ill take it off your hands, as Im going to a put in a 60
with drums, so I need the o-ring again.

Hello,
So now that I've had time to play with my GPS, its pretty awesome.

I'm looking for a stock YJ 4.0 exhaust manifold. If it's got the usual cracks at the collector, that's ok. But the end that mounts to the head needs to be straight. If you've swapped in a header and want to get rig of that old manifold that's laying around, let me know.
Thanks,

Subject: TJ cage?
I am thinking about improving the stock roll cage in my TJ by running it to the floor instead of just the windshield. I am looking at the products from OR-Fab or M.O.R.E. Any opinions on this? How easy is it? Is it worth doing? Are there other options?
