My jeep was stolen from General Dynamics on the corner of Hayden and Mcdowell. I last saw it at 11:30 AM.

Its a 2006 Khaki X with a 5.5" RK Long Arm, 35 MTRs on Poished 15's. Spare tire carrier had the 35 and the license plate in the middle reading "ETTI"(AZ Plates. It has the Gen-right or ORO LED tailights and looks black from behind because of the corner armor. It has the VJC sticker in the rear and a Brazilian flag on the driver front fender.

I had just put on aluminum wheels. The last pic shows it with the new ones on. It actually sits a little higher in the back than the front.

The lift was only a week old and my brand new winch was in the back. If you see a Warn XD9000i for sale, brand new in box, that might be it.

Please keep an eye out. If you see it, please call the local authorities.

I had just gotten the lift on and was preoccupied with getting all the little quarks worked out. Kill switch and Steering wheel lock were on the list, just got sidetracked. I had actually just picked it up from AO for them to do some fine tuning.

After it happens, the security gaurds tell me that the thieves have been targeting Wrangler for the last couple of weeks. NOW YOU TELL ME THIS!!:banghead:

To all others, learn from my mistakes. Get the protection BEFORE the mods.

20 dollars at walmart
the club well for the actual club brand like 37 bucks but for the master lock club its 21 best 20 dollars ever it would at least slow them down

Man, that sucks! I work at GD too, in the Roosevelt building. I am assuming that you already checked with security, to see if they got it on camera? I wonder if security would send out an email or something, there are some nice wranglers that park out there with tops down. Sorry to hear it, will definitely keep my eye out for it!

Sorry to hear about this. I heard about it today from someone in my section that knows you (I assume). I work at the Roosevelt site and park my TJ right out front in that lot. Always am a little worried that mine can get stolen, too.

X2 about the cameras recording it. I think they are recording continuously, but not sure.

I agree it would be proper for Security Dept to notify everyone when a car is stolen and particular types are being targeted.

Thanks guys. It sucks big time. Now I have to wait 30 days for my insurance company to declare it officially gone. Then I get to find out just what I will get for it. Really sucks that I can't just start shopping for a new one now.

Everyone at GD should have a club on their car if its even the least bit desirable.

Wow! Having just got my Jeep not that long ago, it sucks to think that all that hard work everybody does can just get stolen away just like that. For sure will be looking at some anti-theft measures now. Sorry about yours getting ripped off. Hope you get it back. In fact, I hope I spot it for you. Soon, and all in one piece.

Brian, sorry to hear about your jeep and the void of any news yet. I used to work security there Hayden/Roosevelt when I first got out of the Marines at night while I went to college in the day. Then transferred to the classified programs in the basement of Hayden.

Have you talked to Joe Cotela, Lori Slicker or Efren Durazo, they were the heads of security when I left. And as of 10 year ago we were recording the cameras, digitally. They only problem is some of the lot cams sweep back and forth so it may have been missed. I can't remmeber how long we save the tapes for, send these guys an email.

Thanks for the sympathy Allen. I have not really followed up with the video. The security office was going to work directly with Scottsdale PD. So I just let them do their thing. In talking with the guards, the cameras are low res, more and more they are being blocked by trees from the added landscaping. And yes they sweep. He said the best they will be able to see is a suspicious car hanging around, no faces or plate numbers.

I'll keep an eye out for it. I'm so tired of these lousy, motherf...'en, thief bast..ds.
Now I know why horse thieves were hanged back in the 1800's. We should do the same to modern day thieves.

I just saw this... these are new in the box I promise  I can't stand thieves... I know how hard I work for what I have and would like to cut off the hand or a finger of a thief as a deterrent... it works in other countries???

Any news on the Jeep btw?

Small Update:

I finally got to talk to security about the video feed. The camera sweeps back and forth and they looked at the feed right around 12 noon. 1st sweep shows it parked, 2nd sweep shows it driving out over the curbs and into the street.

I parked it at 11:35 AM, so it was very shortly after I got back from AO. So there is a good chance they were following me. Not sure if it was all the way from the shop or they just saw me in route. Anyway, keep an eye on those rearview mirrors.

Should be finding out what the insurance is going to pay in the next day or two.

That's infuriating. I can't imagine seeing my rig on video being stolen.

Good luck with everything.
