05-13-2008, 02:04 PM
Posting this for a friend:

Trailer was spotted: 5/12, on Arizona State Route 191, between Clifton, AZ and and Alpine, AZ, a few miles south of Alpine.

He is sure it was this one, and sure that it was a Black 4 door towing the thing.

FA3 08V, It's an Ohio plate on the Jeep.
California plates on the trailer 4HF 3569

On May 1st we rented an Olive Grey Chaser Trailer with Eezi Awn tent for an eight day rental out of our Upland California location. The trailer has not been returned.

The trailer was rented to Jeremy Deckling, he was accompanied by his wife Carrie Deckling, and their three children two boys (I think) around 6 and a girl 8 or so.

They are driving a Black 2008 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited 4 Door with Ohio plates. The trailer has California plates.

Apparently Jeremy is under investigation for arson, his house burned down in Willard, Ohio under suspicious circumstances.

Jeremy claims to make a living as a Farrier (shoes horses).

If you see this trailer please call us on our toll free number 1-877-661-8097 messages are transferred to our e mail, so even if you don’t get hold of us leave a message.

We would like to find out where the trailer is and repossess it.

If you hear of any unusual sales of off road trailer, Roof Top tents etc. please let us know.

I hope you get your trailer back in good condition and the parents enjoy their stay in jail. Hopefully the kids will end up with someone who can teach them proper values.

If you haven't already, post on as many horse forums as you can. Maybe those folks will spot him when he tries to find work at their farms.

I don't think they guy stole the trailer to sell it, although he might try at some point.

I get the impression he's using it to provide shelter for his family (and avoid hotels/motels where he might be spotted) whom he uprooted after torching his home for profit. He's driving a 2008 Unlimited which I'd lay money he isn't making payments on either.

Its very sad that someone has to steal in desperation to shelter their family, Then again he burned down his own house for profit which is likely good prison time. I feel bad for the kids

The Chaser has been recovered in Florida due to an observant off roader. Trailer is in good shape and all is well that ends well..

flordia! man, that was a road trip

It was recovered but the one who started it all is still at large.
Yes, a road trip to end them all. I guess the trailer was loaded with lots of "stuff" and it will be removed for disposal. All this was done with the permission of local law enforcement..

We were in the Alpine area last weekend and kept our eyes open glad we didn't find a similar one and phone it in, happy it all turned out OK.

I have a little more info about the Chaser trailer. There is a plan to have it driven from Florida to California stopping along the way to meet and greet. They are asking a donation of $1.00 a mile for Disabledexplorers.com, the trip is 2600 miles and they hope to be able to get donations to this group, they help the disabled to be able to see the joys of off road adventures that they might not normally be able to enjoy.
If you want to find more out about the trip and where you can see this most excellent Chaser either contact Martyn at Adventure Trailers or to find out more about the Disabledexplorers write to lance@disabledexplorers.com and he can give you good info.
Thanks for your time
