I have the Teraflex Heavy Duty oil pan cover and I'm happy with it on the 06 TJ unlimited 6 cyl. bought mine from Teraflexplus on ebay but saw a better price on this forum not that long ago. Make sure you are talking about the Heavy Duty if you look into this one.

just don't use it as a slider, you will crack the bell housing or the transmission pan.
i mest up my bell housing.

I installed a Kilby Steering Skid about two years ago. Have yet to hit it but it bolts onto the frame in four places, is made of 3/16" steel and was an easy install: http://www.4x4groupbuy.com/store/advanced_search_result.php?keywords=steering+box+s kid&x=0&y=0
Also have a Four X Doctor Diff Guard on my front D30 which has saved my @ss more than once; many want something a bit beefier (like a solid) if you're planning on hitting some harder trails: http://www.quadratec.com/products/92023_001.htm
4x4explor.com has a lot of great write-ups regarding armor including rocker guards and bumper/tire carriers: http://www.4x4xplor.com/mods-TJ.html
Hope this helps. See you on the trail.

i did go shopping today...ended up with the steering box skid, gerry cans x2, trail book, put an order in for a new bumper (upgrading), new bimini top....however no oil pan skid plate...was there a run on these recently?? i had to hit three shops to get the above....not naming names, but all three of those "lured" me to their shop by telling me "we stock everything!!!" (not exact words, but close..) it was worth it though...i enjoyed meeting the guys/gals at the various shops and now can put a face with the posting ids....
my next request is for someone to open up a good shop in my neck of the woods...i feel like i traveled 200 miles today....
again thanks for all the help...

We run the Toys by Troy oil pan skid and the Warn gas tank skid. No injuries to the jeep in these areas. That Warn gas tank skid will really take a beating also.
Our steering box skid is Warn and then all of the armor on the body is poison spyder. It all adds up pretty fast... :)

What about a high quality rear bumper w/ tire carrier for a JK? Is there such a thing. I currently have a Warn front bumper, and schrockworks rock sliders, but I'm in need of a rear bumper... Can anyone help?

i am having one fabricated for me by desert fab....check some of the shops and let them know what you want...they will talk to you about what you want and then what you really need....and what will best serve the purpose you have in mind...i did some online research at various sites, so i would have some idea of my goal...just google jeep bumpers and you will find all the info you need to research
