Yeah. The "scorpion" one is the one that I havent heard of. According to
everything I have seen, directly up from firebird is ruler (or upper
firebird). after ruler is intimidator which is basically the couple of
waterfalls. The last run we did, 2 toyotas and an XJ comleted ruler (some
winching was needed) and only 1 toyota buggy was able to do both waterfalls
and then come down. Lets just say that it was a good thing that he had an
exo cage! My rig wouldnt handle that. Although I would like to try ruler
(upper firebird) but its not worth going out there for just that one little
trail (although its pretty hairy). If this scorpion trail is there I would
like to check it out (I dont live that far away).

I'd recommend something with a bigger compressor and tank. I have a 30 gallon with a 6 HP motor on mine and it still cycles on and off quite a bit. With an 8 gallon tank you'd soon be running off the compressor most of the time.
Another thing I don't like about the 110V direct drive compressors is the noise. You need hearing protection around them. I'm going to upgrade to a 220V belt driven just because they are SO much quieter.

Good point Scott. I had not thought of that. I remember the ringing in my ears after my fathers would turn off... it felt like my wife had just yelled at me for not taking my shoes of after playin in the mud on a rainy day and walking on the new carpet. Spend the extra cash if you can and go for luxury.

Intimidator is not at the end of Ruler. It is way the other way before
Tax Collector. I believe those waterfalls are still considered part of
Ruler. To run Ruler I would recommend at a minimum 37" tires and low
gears. I have seen 35" tires on that trail and it wasn't pretty.
There are several trails out there that have not been mentioned on this
board yet.

Also, if you tell her what you could do with it for HER she just might buy
into it. The welder she reluctantly bought for me was all justified when I
welded an old metal make-up table deal(have no idea what the hell its
called) for her. Before she was like what are you going to do with that. Now
its "hey, can you weld this with that thing?" Its great LOL

I agree with Scott. If you are going to spend the money, spend it on
a good one that will last for a long time. I would get a 220v with
at least a 30 gal. tank. I have an oil-less unit now and I don't
think I would buy another one. I would get the motor and unit
separate (standard style).

That's how I got my pressure washer, lol.
Oh honey, think of how I could clean the drive way and even the sides
of the house so we can paint it.... LOL The drive way got cleaned
after I pressure washed my Jeep and a bunch of parts. Some day I'll
get to the house.

Thats a good one. But back to the compressor selection. I seen one at
Walmart last night for $250. Looked pretty big maybe 30gal or bigger. Didnt
pay attention to the capacity but looked like a good deal.

hehe... i started to read that comment and I thought "OMG!!! THIS IS A
FAMILY SITE!!!" LOL... and where is my mind!!!???
anyway - back to the correct subject!!!
an air compressor would save me a trip to the gas station when she says that
the she thinks a tire is low. usually when she says that... it's too late so
i could just take care of it on my own turf!
now if i had a welder... i would be in some serious trouble! i would be
instructed to weld tin foil to to this and tin foil to that. it would take a
long time to convince her that this is not for scrap booking use... this is
for Jeep use!!!! it's funny the difference between a man and a woman.
growning up i thought it was just a physical thing!!! boy was i wrong!!!!
Please accept my appologies to anyone I offend out there. I do not speak

There are several trails out there that have not been mentioned on this
board yet.

Yeah. The "scorpion" one is the one that I havent heard of. According to

(type) to offend. I speak (type) for humor. If I do offend anyone please
feel free to call me at the Mental Ward at 1.800.IMSCREWD and setup an appt
with my warden! - another joke! Please call me MR. GEEK!!!!

I'm going to attempt to replace some wheel studs at home tonight. Does
anyone know any special tricks for doing this? Is there enough room to get
the new ones in without having to drill a hole through the backing plate on
the brake? any suggestions would be helpful.
