On my 53 Willys Pickup where should the switch for the brake lights be?

I just got it back on the road after some work by Desert Fab (great job by them by the way) installing an TH350 automatic transmission, Dana 300 transfer (twin stick), and a dual master cylinder from Hermtheoverdriveguy.com that let me retain the stock brake pedal.

All other lights including turn signals, head lights, and running lights work except the brake lights.

Thanks,

Tom, freshly moved to Casa Grande

Tom,
IIRC, the switch is located on the outside of the toeboard and is activated by a rod that rests against the brake pedal rod. The actual switch is mounted to the sheetmetal by 2 screws, visible inside, below the hole the brake pedal passes through.
There are 2 wires on it. It has been a long time since I saw one.

The other possibility is a mechanical psi switch on the master cylinder itself.

Edit, just saw the part about the Dual MC, so forget that part.

all of the other flatfenders (including pu) I have seen have pressure switch off master cylinder (on frame)

Need to inspect it in the light tomorrow.

There is no presure switch on the new dual master cylinder.

I will check for a switch on the brake lines.

I am considering getting a switch that is mechanical and operates off the brake pedal.

I have a line on one I can order online but want to see if there is anything local I can get this weekend.

The site below will give an idea of the way I am thinking of going.

i have a 55 willys pick-up from the factory it used a inline pressure switch
on the end of the master

you can add a pressure switch just about any where but the closer to the master the better and i personally put it on the rear brake line since it pressureizes (huge spelling error) first!

Good to know, if I go with a brake line switch I will put it on the rear brak line.

Thanks,
