OK Uncle Sams $ is almost here so I think it's time for a set of rocker guards without steps or bars. Who makes the best looking? Most protection? I am leaning towards poison spyder now, but would like to see others and here from owners.

Why didnt you match the lines of the fenders doent that leave them expose to being crushed? Seems like it was made for another jeep and just slapped on yours? No offense just curious

Mine are mounted to the body hence all the bolts. Paul yours are puny compared to my manly rocker guards :D

X2 on what Paul said though, I have taken some hits that rattled my brain and nothing has ever dented or bent.

I vote Rokmen. I think their rockers are the best out there, very well thought out. Their customer service is awesome, also. Probably the highest quality part that I have on my LJ. They go wheel well to wheel well, and from the bottom of the door all the way back to the frame.

I don't really like any of Poison Spyder's stuff. I haven't seen anything of theirs that is all that awesome or well thought out. I would build my own before spending any money with them. They just seem to be the most popular because they are the cheapest.

Warn. I can attest to their durability, and they are cheap....that is why I got them in the first place.

I'll second Rokmen. I have their stuff on my rig and its top notch. BUT, they don't make them without the step. Personnally I like the tubing. It can help keep other parts of the body from damage since they hit 1st. Plus, if you go with a bigger lift, you might need the step. Also make a great place to rock back and forth on when you get stuck. :)

According to their website, they are now offered without a step.

How about installation? Is it a reasonable job for one who does little more than oil in the driveway and whose Jeep doesn't look like it's been rolled *** over tea kettle like Lance's? :)

I have a set of Warns. They took about 15 minutes to put on, and only required a drill. Very easy.

Mine were a little more than 15 minutes, about an hour of easy work. And my Jeep USED to be pretty.....even just last Labor Day........

A second set of hands makes it a lot easier, but doable by one person. Also, depending on manufacture, the mounting holes may be in some awkward places to get to, like the Rokmen. But that is only because they are longer than the standard one, so you have to reach up behind the fender to put on a couple of bolts.

Thanks everybody just checked and no money yet, I think I have narrowed the field down to 5 with Warn in the lead. Gotta go see if the money posted while I was typing!

LOVE our poison spyder ricochet knockers. They are stout as sh it and they offer steps to get in as well as to keep the rocks at a good distance from the tub....plus provide great foot rests when the doors are off for longer trips (like highway pegs on bikes) :D
