OK, not fj, but Payson area

Well, we got rooms at the Blue Mist and were planning to go to fj, but it turns out that we want to go to payson area instead. The Blue Mist is cancelled and maybe motel 6 is it. Thurs. is droped and we're looking at staying over Fri., maybe Sat., depending on what we find. I understand, fm blk ruby, HCR will be going to Moab 8-18 and of course we'll be in town 15-16. We are thinking there must be lots of wheeling in that area, but we've only been to payett. Is anyone from HCR going to be around 15-16? We would like some challanges, but want to see some faimly type trails as well for other trips. There's nothing in the Wells book that I saw. Is there local maps that would help? Thanks Jim:o

I'll be hosting a trail ride up Diamond Point in Payson on the 17th of this month. Join up if you wanna check it out. Are you talking about doing something in August in the Payson area?

we haven't talked about August, but our plan is for the 15-16th of this month. We are just wanting some direction as none of us know the area. Unfortunatly, we have to be back on the17th. We did Payett about a year ago, but that's it.

Thanks for responding, and once again something has come up to cancel our plans. Of the six drivers, three have the bosses daughters wedding, ones horse fell on him last weekend, ones job is interfering and I'm out of the mood. We WILL see you guys on the trail one day.

The forest is open but fires and charcoal is banned.

I'll be around, might even be off of work on the 15-16th. I've never done the 433 to Pyeatte before, might be because of my under equipped rig. I'm gonna be at the Draw tomorrow with the AZXJ guys though... so if you'd like to run that I think I'd be down for it if I can figure whats up with my check engine lights. :eek::confused:

I donno what Preacher Canyon is like as I haven't been there in over a year or so... that might be another option for a short run.
