About 10 years ago I ran a trail that left the highway at the pipe gate next to Devils Canyon east of Superior Az. We ran from there up behind Ray mine and then east up over the top of Pinal mountain and dropped into Globe Az and back onto the highway. I did this in my 1984 Chevy 2500 4x4 with the four wheel drive club from Motorola.

I have inclued a link to a thread I searched up that I belive might be the trail. The first pic in the thread looks real familar. I also remember the trail led us through Gov.. Camp or something like that.

Ok here is my question....Does anybody know this trail and if so are you willing to lead a group through there towards the end of the month or 1st of next month?

Here is the link of part of the trail I think.

Sounds like Hackberry Creek (aka Powerline Trail) which the link you provided also indicates. It starts from Oak Flats campground (top of hill east of Superior) and can be done as a loop or can be exited the way you mentioned.

The first pic in that thread is the steep "rock fin" at the bottom of "Chevy Hill" (there's an old rusted hulk of a Chevy PU next to the trail).

If I ever get my CJ fixed I'd be happy to join you. I haven't run it in quite a while.

btw - did you ever post pics of your CJ from the phot shoot last month?

No I got side tracked and forgot to. But I will do it right now. I only took one pic of the set and a few of the area for fun. I will post it in the original thread pertaining to the shoot and PM you a link to it.

They said the photo shoot should be in thier Fall catalog of 2008. They also said that it might only be parts of the Jeep that showes up in the catalog. No problem though...they still paid for the whole Jeep to be photographed. LOL.

I will have to keep an eye on this post and or bump it sooner or later. Let me know as soon as you get the CJ up and running and we will do the trip. If I dont get it done by this summer then next winter will work also. Thanks for the reply K7mto.

Yeah me to on the driveway queen. I parked it on Last Saturday to do a simple swap on the intake manifold and carb and have run into an issue.

The new Edelbrock performer manifold (AMC 304 V-8) is giving me fits linning up the bolts. I think the guy that I bought it from must over decked the heads and it's creating a problem.

Oh well I'll get it done when time allows now.

Darn, I highjacked my own thread. oh well back on topic.
