My oldest son is 17 and a Jr. in High School. All his hard work is paying off for him. He has got 3 full ride offers for Football to Washington State, Army Football and Air Force. Colorado State and ASU are very interested so we will see what happens.

Very cool, Todd!
Let us know which school he chooses so we can watch him play over the next few years. What position does he play?

He still has one more year of High School, it is nice for him to go into his Senior year knowing he set for college.
Offense he is a Tailback, Defense he plays Outside Linebacker, Free Saftey.

Congrats! His future is set...
I would lean toward one of the military schools if I were him but then again, if it is a free ride why not go somewhere else...

my brother went to wazzu. he had the time of his life. if your son goes to a pac-10 school, many of the games will be within driving distance. that would be cool.

Congrats,
The military school offers tells me he is not just a jock but a smart man also.
Years ago the Naval Academy offered me a scholarship, but I went for a scholarship to the UofA instead. My life turned out good in the end, but I might have benefited from the disipline of a military school at the time.
Went for a year, dropped out for 8, eventually got 4 degrees.
You know your kid, and he knows himself better than anyone. What ever he decides sounds like they are all good choices.
What does he want to study?

Seriously, I hope he chooses the school that will give him the best education since sports careers are hard to come by and don't last long.

Been watching him at the hs games. The kid is an awesome athlete and a fine young man. Hope his career continues to progress. I'm sure more offers are still yet to come. And Brooke will end up doing just as well for herself. Coached her in one of the local bb leagues. I'm sure your as proud of them as all get out.

I'd take Stanford ANY day of the week over all of them. A degree from Stanford will take you very far. My Uncle went to Stanford and then was picked up by MIT for a full ride for his graduate school. He is now unemployed (we tease) - he does consulting work for major corporations - that is after he retired from being the president of sprint paging - when pagers just barely got big. He was also one of the individuals in charge of putting the towers on South Mountain. The family knew he'd be a renowned engineer when he got busted having put vodka in his windshield wiper resovior with a tube going into his car giving him a shot any time he hit the washer switch!
His son went to Stanford and that opened the door for him to attend graduate school at Oxford in Europe. He is now a professor of English in Minnesota.
Stanford is an EXCELLENT school. A great school to attend that looks seriously at the applications of graduates' children. Great way to help his future kids along.
