I was trying to search the email archives... If you type in YJ or TJ or XJ or any jeep type (which I anticipate will happen ALOT), you get an error about how a search word is under the 4 character leangth minumum. This could be a really bad bug. I was trying to search 'death wobble yj' and it wouldn't let me. My boss has some scary *** vibes in his yj and I'm trying to look into it for him.

Nope... not a bug.

I can set the minimum search string length... currently it is 4 characters. I can set it to 1 character, in which case EVERY character in every word would be indexed.... this would allow greater flexibility in searches... but would make the search index database as large as the post databases... not only doubling the database size but slowing the searches down significantly.

The tradeoff is size and speed vs hit quality. I'd recommend that (in your instance below) that you search on Death Wobble and then do a control F and search on YJ in each post which is found in the search.

Painful... but I want to keep the database small and searches fast.

What should I search for to find info on the latest or best GPS stuff? I have the same issue.

You might try a search using Garmin and Magellan.

You might try a search using Garmin and Magellan or other manufacturer names. Might also use the words software, cooridnates, topo or maps.

go to Garmin's home site. Do Google and "Garmin" and see what you find.

I personnally run a Garmin Etrex Vista and like it.
