I will be near Payson this weekend, and was wondering if there are any good trails, and or things to see. NF 405and 405A Thomson Draw/Bear Flat area. I am not looking for hard core trails, but moderate range would work.

Talk to Bill Witt(Antman) and Thom Campbell(TC). They are the HCR(High Country Renegades) boys, and know all the good stuff around Payson. Green Valley might be of interest to you.

You can take the control road off of the 87, north of Tonto Natural Bridge. It goes east all the way to the 260, just past Bear Flats. It's a pretty flat trail, but has beautiful sites and place you can definately test out your rig.

Hi, I may try that route too, I am camping in Payson (off the general crook trail area) from Friday to Sunday. That looks like a good Saturday run. Thanks!

Going Postal, look for me around Payson, 98 silver GC with "I'd Rather BE Offroad sticker" on the front window. Have a good time! I will keep eye out for you too!

Lance FS came thru and graded the Green Valley trail all the way. Getting ready for fire season
