Just purchased a 2008 Wrangler X unlimited, 4dr and would like to get new tires/lift. How much do you think I can get for my new stock tires/wheels? GoodyearWrangler SR-A P255/75R17 OWL all-terrain tires with aluminum rims. New tires at discount tires - $99 each

If they fit my DD XJ, we can talk a deal. Opening offer, $150.00 cash.

Digger, they don't. XJ= 5 on 4.5 JK= 5 on 5
You probably really won't find anyone to take them. If you do, you are really lucky. Sell them for whatever you can get for them. If you aren't getting a huge lift, maybe you can keep them and switch to them for any road trips you might take. Help save on gas and wearing your larger tires.

I think she is more interested in the tires, rather the wheels.

yes, all I am interested in is the rubber, but it's quicker to change out all.
they might go on ok. right now I'm riding on tires and rims from a 02 Rubi, I bought from some guy at work 2 years ago. my DD has some modifications, lift and is set up for some wide tires that I use for sand, but the rubi rims work ok, I do have an unusual amount of turning capability with the smaller tires/rims

Bummer, and just be sure, I'm talking about my Blue 96 XJ, not the 98 XJ you guys see me driving. So the 4½ vs the 5 mentioned, is the distance between the (center to center) of lug nuts right? And don't:rolleyes:, I'm getting the hang of this little by little...on the other hand can any of you guys drive a sewing machine :D. Just a little humor... just realized tomorrow's FRIDAY!!!!!

Think I will go ahead and keep them for road trips.

yep, best deal. there are plenty of these new change outs to be had, and they don't have the room to store them. that's why people can't sell them for what they are worth. :)

Hi Rich, I've had a lot of luck selling stock Jeep stuff on craigslist Phoenix: http://phoenix.craigslist.org/; you may want to post them there in addition to VJC. I'd recommend listing at 60-70% of list price and expect to haggle a bit on final price (maybe start around $400 for four tires+wheels or $450 for all five?). BTW, five new Pro Comp Rock Crawler Steel Series 51 Wheels will run you about $300 +tax, so you should be able to cover the cost of new wheels with the sale of your stock wheels and tires.
PS: I sell things a quite a bit cheaper to VJC members, but start higher with the general public. You'll be surprised what some people will pay for stock stuff.

Thanks for the replies. Can't wait to get out on some trails? Hopefully hook up with some of you in the future, I am currently in Goodyear.
